Pumping vs Clamping: What Actually Builds Girth (Without Wrecking Your Pelvic Floor)

I get this question a lot from guys: “What’s better for girth, clamping or pumping?” Both tools can boost volume, especially girth, and to a lesser extent even length. But they don’t work the same way in your body, they don’t carry the same risks, and they definitely don’t treat your pelvic floor the same. Clamping vs Pumping: What’s the Actual Difference? Both clamping and pumping aim to do one thing:

Girth Training Advice: Ask The Coach

Are you looking to enhance your girth through effective training methods? In this article, we address three common questions from our clients seeking advice on girth training. Our resident coach, AJ, provides insights and recommendations to help you achieve your goals. Whether you’re new to girth workouts or looking to fine-tune your techniques, read on to find answers to your concerns.

Question 1:

Exploring Higher Erection Levels for Squeezes Client Question about girth: “I’ve just started with the Squeeze for my girth workouts and I feel I can do more than the recommended 70 percent average erection level. Can I try a higher erection for this?”

Coach AJ’s Response:

Certainly, it’s natural to want to push your limits, but when it comes to girth training, there are important considerations. Increasing the erection level for Squeezes can intensify the exercise, but it’s crucial to exercise caution. The degree of force required to manipulate a higher erection increases significantly, and without proper conditioning, you may find the higher erection Squeeze less efficient. Before attempting higher erection levels, it’s essential to assess your readiness and gradually work your way up.

Question 2:

Jelqing Techniques and Base Holding Client Question: “For jelqs, you recommended holding the base to prevent the skin from moving up. Is it better to start from as far back as possible? Can I avoid holding the base by using more lube?”

Coach AJ’s Response:

Your concern is valid, and the effectiveness of jelqing depends on proper technique. To maximize the benefits, aim to stroke as deep into the base as possible. This may require you to hold back the skin with one hand while using the other hand for the stroke. Additionally, spreading your fingers enough to allow the stroking hand the proper range of motion is essential.

Alternatively, using more (thick) lubrication can simplify the exercise and minimize skin movement. Experiment with both methods to determine which one works best for you. Your feedback will help refine your technique and achieve optimal results.

Question 3:

Squeezes vs. Jelqing for Girth Client Question: “Why do I feel that Squeezes are more effective for girth than jelqing, even with similar levels of EQ? Aren’t they both for girth?”

Coach AJ’s Response:

While both Squeezes and jelqing can contribute to girth enhancement, they have distinct characteristics. The Squeeze is a girth-direct exercise, primarily focused on expanding girth. However, it’s worth noting that the Squeeze can also yield some degree of length gains, as it expands the tunica.

On the other hand, jelqing is a versatile exercise with various applications. It can promote girth gains and improve blood flow, contributing to enhanced erectile quality (EQ). Some individuals may find that Squeezes work better for them due to their specific goals and preferences. It’s essential to tailor your training routine to your objectives and adapt as needed to achieve the desired results.

Penile Exercise Coaching: Forge Confidence

When to Stop Growing in Penis Enlargement: A Balanced Perspective

Many of us are drawn to the idea of achieving a larger size, we know that. This journey often stems from a desire to boost self-confidence, much like the motivation to lose weight to fit into societal beauty ideals. While aiming for a few extra inches can be a personal choice, it’s essential to strike a balance. As individuals see changes in their bodies, they often feel more empowered to challenge societal expectations. Size can indeed enhance one’s erotic capital, symbolizing power in the societal construct of masculinity. However, there’s a fine line between seeking self-improvement and succumbing to vanity. When the pursuit of size starts overshadowing the broader goals of sexual health and well-being, it may be time to reassess the motivations behind the PE journey.

Understanding Society’s Influence

The desire for a larger size is often driven by the wish to increase one’s erotic capital or sexual attractiveness and power. Society’s influence might make some believe that a larger size equals more masculinity. There’s a possibility that adult films and other media have led to the belief that 8 (length) x 6 (girth) inches is the “ideal” size. However, this size goal is more about looks than increasing pleasure for partners. In fact, aiming for this size can sometimes cause pain rather than pleasure. It’s crucial to consider these factors and prioritize both partners’ comfort and enjoyment in the PE journey.

The Penis Enlargement Pursuit and Its Pitfalls

As men traverse the path of PE, the finish line may seem to perpetually extend. The achievement of personal goals often leads to the setting of new, larger goals, leading to the question: when to stop? The pursuit of a larger size, beyond the 8×6 milestone carries the risk of overshadowing the essence of PE. The emergence of issues such as pain during intercourse, perceived by some as a sign of virility (something very present in “interracial” adult films), underscores the potential pitfalls of this journey. This perception not only poses dangers to female partners but also conceals a form of violence in the sexual act, necessitating a reevaluation of the beliefs underlying the PE journey.

As their website states, “Sometimes penetration goes too deep,” and Ohnut provides a solution to this by allowing couples to adjust penetration depths incrementally. This innovation addresses the often-neglected issue of pain during intercourse, which can have severe medical and health implications. Pain during sex should never be seen as a sign of virility or a badge of honor. Instead, it’s a signal that something isn’t right, and it’s essential to prioritize mutual comfort and pleasure.

Your Journey, Your Choice

Q. I’ve just started with the Squeeze for my girth workouts and I’ve gotta say I love em!

I’m doing the recommended 70 percent average but I feel I can do much more. Can I try a higher erection for this?

Al: You can use a higher level of erection to make the Squeezes more intense, but you have to be careful with this- since the degree of force needed to manipulated a higher erection increases almost exponentially. If you don’t have the necessary conditioning, you might find the higher erection Squeeze LESS efficient.

*                *                *

Q. You had stated that for jelqs, I should be holding one hand at the base so the skin doesn’t move up with the jelq.

However, isn’t it preferable to start from as far back of the penis as possible? And if I hold that base, I that means I have to start further ahead?

How about instead of holding the base, I just use more lube so that when I’m jelqing, it’s not actually moving up the skin?

Al: You’re correct in that you should be getting the stroking hand as deep into the base as possible. This may require you hold back skin with the other hand and spread your fingers enough to allow the stroking hand to get the proper range of motion.

You can also try using more (thick) lube. IMO, this is preferable as it simplifies the exercise. Please let me know how it goes if you decide to try this.

*                *                *

Q. Why is it that I feel the Squeezes better for me for girth than jelqing even if I use about the same level of EQ?

Aren’t they both for girth?

Al: The Squeeze is considered to be a girth-direct exercise, whereas the jelq is an exercise which can be used for a variety of functions. That being said, even the Squeeze can yield some degree of length gains since the tunica is being expanded. Some have also commented on EQ improvement using Squeezes, though the [light] jelqs are, IMO, better for contributing to more blood flow.

Q. I was wondering if any other members have experienced emotional breakthroughs with their training. Not so much about size but about confidence. Maybe it’s because I’m older, but I recently have hit a place in my life where I’m beyond caring about whether or not I’m good enough for someone. I’m doing this for ME, and if someone likes it then great! If not, the loss is theirs. It’s funny but when I embraced this viewpoint I feel like a weight has been lifted, and sex is actually fun again!

Al: Few things are as satisfying as observing someone having an epiphany moment! A person can come to the realization that the thing they feared was a creation of their own minds. It can be a step closer to learning how to put the ego in its place.

Emotional Visualizations are good for this, but true self-examination is necessary for this to be effective.

Q. I’m having a hard time keeping a 70% erection as instructed for my Squeezes. As soon as I start, my erection slowly declines after several reps and I need to stop to get the erection back. How do I counter this?

Al: Let’s say you’re targeting 70% average for Squeezes. You’ll induce an 80% erection then start the exercise- and continue it until you’re erection drops to 60%. This will give you a good range to work through and that 70% average.

Q. You mention altering the jelq exercise to target more length or more girth. So if I use a lower erection and less lube, it targets length, and more lube and erection targets girth? Is this so?

Al: Regarding the jelq: Correct on both counts. With less lube and erection, the exercise becomes more of a sliding stretch/length movement; whereas with more of an erection and lube it becomes more of a compression/girth movement.

With the higher erection/more lube variant, you’ll also want to slow donw the cadence for each rep slightly.

Supplements for EQ Improvement & Starting Pump Sizes: Ask The Experts

Supplements for EQ Improvement & Starting Pump Sizes: Ask The Experts

Big Al, of MaleEnhancementCoach.com, answers questions about EQ improvement & starting pump sizes.

If you have questions you’d like answered in an Ask the Experts article, please PM Big Al.

Q. What do you think of the supplement Tongkat Ali?

I’ve read a lot of good things about how using it can increase testosterone and recovery.

Al: My own personal experience- I can’t say I felt much of anything with the brand and dose used. From what I’ve observed with clients who’ve taken it, it didn’t appear to do much, if anything. That being said, you should still perform your own research and even experimentation.

Here are a few threads on the subject:

Tongkat Ali for Erection & Libido

Tongkat Ali for HF/EQ and couple of other questions

Tongkat Ali?

Q. I’ve heard good things about using L-Arginine to help boost erection quality.

How and when is a good time to take it?

Al: Take ~5 g of L-Arginine 15-30 minutes prior to sexual activity or training. You wouldn’t have to take it any other time unless you’re performing physical training.

Q. The pump I have is close to my current erection size and I’m worried it’s too small.

After a few minutes of pumping my penis begins to expand and sticks to the inside of the tube. What should I do?

Al: It’s a good idea to start with a pump that’s one inch larger in circumference than your current erect girth.

When you begin filling the sides of the tube after some time in session you’ll need to move to a second staging pump. You should also apply a pump-friendly lube to your penis before starting to ensure it doesn’t stick in the pump.

If you’re very close to or are filling the sides of the tube soon after the start of the session or right from the start then the STARTER cylinder used needs to be upgraded to a larger size.

Types of penises: Shape, size, circumcision, and more

What to know about types of penises

Medically reviewed by Joseph Brito III, MD — Written by Mathieu Rees on November 23, 2020

This article is a repost which originally appeared on MEDICAL NEWS TODAY

Edited for content

The penis is a male organ with functions that include reproduction and urination. As with any body part, no two people have the same penis.

The penis has two main features. The body, or shaft, connects the penis to the abdomen. At the opposite end of the shaft is the glans, or head.

This article lists some common types of penises, categorized primarily by measurement, and provides some related information.

Length

Penises come in different lengths when flaccid or erect.

Estimates about average penis length can vary. For example, one 2014 study looked at the penis size of United States males. It found that the average erect length was around 5.6 inches.

However, another article suggests there are issues with many penis length studies, including the fact that participants self-report measurements.

These studies use self-reported data and are therefore subject to bias, which likely fuels the widespread belief that the average penis size is closer to 6 inches. In reality, the average is likely to be lower

Girth

Penises also have different girths or circumferences.

A 2014 study into the penis size of U.S. males found that the average erect girth was around 4.8 inches.

However, as with penis length, a person should note that many penis girth studies use self-reported measurements, which are known to be fairly unreliable.

Curvature

Some penises are completely straight when erect. However, many have a bend or curvature. There are three main types of curved penis. These include penises that:

  • curve upwards from its base
  • curve downwards from its base
  • curve to the left or right

Additionally, some people may have multiple kinds of curvature. For instance, some penises may curve to the left and upwards.

Penile curvatures are common and typically benign. They are rarely painful and do not usually make penetrative sex more difficult.

However, abnormal penile curvature can sometimes be a symptom of Peyronie’s disease. One review lists the following as possible symptoms:

  • a thickened area, or plaque, in the penile shaft
  • curvature of the penis during erection
  • pain in the penis
  • erectile dysfunction

Scientists are not sure what causes Peyronie’s disease.

One common explanation is that the condition results from mild, recurring trauma to the penis. This can occur during intercourse or masturbation.

Peyronie’s disease can also be due to a rupture in the penis, known as a penile fracture. Genetic factors may also contribute to the development of this condition.

Anybody who suspects they may have Peyronie’s disease should seek medical advice. Sometimes, people with the condition who experience no other issues, such as pain, could still use their penis for sexual activity without needing medical treatment.

In some cases, doctors may recommend surgery to remove the plaque or reduce the curvature in the penis.

The base to head ratio

For some people, the circumference of the base of their penile shaft is the same as the circumference of their penile head.

For others, this ratio is different. Some may have a penile head with more girth than the base of their shaft, or vice versa.

Circumcised and uncircumcised

A person with a penis is born with a retractable layer of skin that covers the penile head, commonly referred to as the foreskin.

Many people around the world have their foreskin surgically removed, in a process known as male circumcision.

A trained person may carry out male circumcision on children and adults, often for cultural or religious reasons. Doctors can also perform them in medical treatments.

Circumcised penises do not have a foreskin, which means that the glans is always visible. Uncircumcised penises have a foreskin, which often covers the glans, especially when the penis is flaccid.

Some infants can be born without a foreskin, which is a condition called hypospadias. Here, the opening of the penis is not found at the tip. Surgery is usually required to correct this issue.

Uncircumcised men can also develop phimosis, where the foreskin cannot retract over the hood of the glans. This can lead to irritation and infection. People with the condition generally require medical circumcision.

Because circumcision is a surgical process, it can sometimes lead to health issues, including:

  • infection
  • necrosis of the penile head
  • cut to the penile head or urethra
  • penile loss

However, people should note that this procedure is very common. Infections following circumcision, one of the most common possible complications, affect just 0.5% of people.

Summary

Many internet sources misinform and perpetuate myths about penises. In reality, they are highly varied, just like other body parts.

Anyone who has concerns about their penis can seek medical advice from a trained professional.

Please read article on Viking Kegel, as the article below is related.  It would be good to have knowledge of the Viking article 1st and then this article.

1. Perform a 10 minute warm-up using a heating device of your choice.  For example a small ceramic heater can be placed sufficiently far (2+ feet) from your crotch to be safe, warm up your crotch area for a period of 5 to 10 minutes.

2. Proceed with a dry jelq for 5 to 10 minutes. The combination of warming  plus dry Jelq will allow for  increase tissue flexibility providing a better more affective girth exercise. Bring your penis to 80% to 95%  erection.

3. Proceed by using an overhand grip with your thumb and pointer finger pointing down to the floor and providing the primary force of the squeeze. Position your hand as close to the pubic bone as possible to maximize shaft exposure and promote transient hypertension (blood pressure that is safely elevated) from the squeeze. At the same time perform edging, which allows for greater sexual excitation or arousal, if you will. I have found the base squeeze and the edging work very nicely together. Hi orgasmic energy is created with this combination.

4. For beginners, squeeze the base for duration of one minute. Generally I have found every 20 to 30 seconds you reposition slightly the hand used to squeeze the base, each time you re-position your hand you try to move it closer to the pubic bone as much as safely possible. You will find that this periodic adjustment is helpful for the hand and the position of the hand. So therefore in one minute time you might adjust once or twice.

5. After completing the above, perform manual circular stretches with your penis pointed in any direction, generally up is the easiest direction associated with this configuration of exercise. Hold time and intensity for 30 seconds. The intensity is somewhat subjective, do not overdo this, be kind to your penis and avoid any injury. There is a tendency in PE to get overzealous with her mind and not the aware of your body’s feedback, it’s important to integrate the two and do pay attention to your penis and its comfort level.

9. The upper time range that I have experienced, remember that I’ve been doing this for decades, would be 6 to 10 minute of squeeze edging, and two minutes circular stretch upward position. I may do the super set for 2 to 3 times, depending on your feel, and your experience you can elect the duration. A person who has had multiple years of experience certainly would be a veteran and can make his own decisions regarding time and intensity.  A new to intermediate individual must always side on caution.

Overtime I found this a very useful exercise for girth and length because it consists of squeeze plus stretches. At times I’m amazed at the results. While this idea is not original, I reflected on this concept overtime and came to conclusions on at least one type of optimized girth exercises. (Note: Big Al and others also put out many excellent girth exercises)

10. The above may be used with hanging devices such as the LG hanger; it can possibly be used with the compression hanger call the Bib hanger. It can be also used with bath mate, or pulse pumping, Pulse pumping consist of varying the vacuum cycle, rotating it back between vacuum levels.

In other words this girth exercise can work pretty much with any mechanical instrument and probably enhance the effects.
