More advanced hanging for extra length

We covered the 3×20 Hanging Regimen and “Advanced Hanging for Repetitions” in previous newsletters (contact us if you want copies). In this newsletter, we’ll cover additional advanced techniques you can use to maximize your length results while minimizing your total training time.

Before we get started, we generally recommend using the following progression system for hanger use for maximum comfort and safety:

While you may be able to utilize advanced hanging with either the plate or compression hangers, the vacuum-type hanger is designed specifically for advanced use.

As with all new training techniques, please be sure to err on the side of caution with weight and time until you’ve mastered the form of the movement.

The following tactics can be used to make your hanging session more challenging and less time consuming:

‧ Swinging the weight while hanging.  In a standing or seated position, CAREFULLY impart momentum to the weight to get an extra level of tension. You can swing at any angle or even in a circular motion for maximum impact.

‧ “Stripping Sets”.  This is where you hang heavier than your normal assigned weight and reduce the poundage every few minutes/seconds.

‧ Leaning back while hanging. This is best accomplished from a seated position for optimal control. Please BE CAREFUL as you WILL feel a more intense stretch doing this!

‧ Walking while hanging.  The slight jostling and momentum which will occur while walking will add another level of challenge to your hanging training. It’s also efficient if you hang while doing your daily duties but still need to get around.

Advanced Exercises (Length)- Repetitions, Reaching a Plateau, and Creating a Routine (from The Ultimate Guide To Male Enhancement)

The following is a chapter taken from the book: The Ultimate Guide To Male Enhancement.

Edited for content

Chapter 24: Advanced Exercises (Length)

Once you’ve successfully completed the beginner’s phase, you’ll be ready for the advanced routines. As an advanced trainee, you’ll be more qualified to discern when you need to take rest days and when you need to change your routine.  As stated in the Basic Routine, you should usually take a 1 week rest every 46 weeks or so; but you may find your own individual recuperative abilities, schedule and health may dictate otherwise.
This is also a phase for focusing on refinement, specialization and shaping.

Repetitions

Repetitions, intensity and frequency should be your goal to make each workout just a little more intense than the last.  I generally recommend increasing the rep count (volume) by no more than 12% each subsequent workout. Don’t be afraid to stay at the same level of repetitions and focus on increasing intensity instead. You’ll likely get a better workout that way.

Reaching a Plateau

A plateau can be defined as reaching a point where you no longer make any gains. You may even see a decline in penile vigor if you attempt to train through a plateau.

To start gaining again, you should take a short rest and change your routine. Upon resuming training after a rest, it’s a good idea to start a little easier than where you left off (refer to Charting Your Progress for details).

Creating a Routine

In addition to the advanced routines listed here, you can create your own routines using any of the advanced exercises.

A good DIY advanced routine will consist of:

A thorough warm up

One good girth exercise

One good length exercise

Stamina work

A thorough warm/cool down

When creating your own routines, I recommend sticking to one quality exercise per area worked (e.g. “girth”) unless you’re using supersets or other advanced exhaustion techniques. Pick the exercises which you feel work best for you.
My reasoning behind this is simple the penis can be easily overtrained. The goal should be to work the penis as thoroughly as needed and no more. Doing an endless number of exercises indicates:
1. You’re not doing the right exercise if you need to do so many.
2. You’re not using enough intensity.

Pumping For Length and Minimum Expectations: Ask The Experts

Pumping For Length and Minimum Expectations: Ask The Experts

Big Al, of MaleEnhancementCoach.com, answers questions about pumping for length only and what the minimal acceptable level of gains is.

If you have questions you’d like answered in an Ask the Experts article, please PM Big Al

Q. Hey Al. I have been pumping for almost a year now and I am very satisfied with my girth now. I would like to focus only on length. Is there a way to do this?

Al: A practice among pumpers looking to gain length and not girth is to stay with a cylinder just slightly larger than erect girth BUT using a lot of lube in order to ensure the penis is forced to expand along the length of the cylinder during pumping. You MUST use enough and of a sufficient quality/viscosity of lube to ensure the process of extension in the pump is felt without friction.

This should enable you to get maximum elongation without affecting girth too much.

Q. I know everyone has different goals, but what is the bare minimum I can expect from training? Does the type of training matter?

Al: Manual exercises are recommended because A. they’re free to perform, B. they’re efficient, and C. there has yet to have been created a device as versatile as the human hand. That being said, there are pros and cons to each method.

As with any training, you’re going to need to challenge yourself to see gains. This would be the same whether you were using a pump, manuals, or other devices.

The MINIMUM expectations per cycle should be 1/4″ in length and 1/8″ in girth except for those in the very advanced stages of training. If you’re at the low end of training and are not making these types of gains, more effort needs to be put into consistency and progression. There’s no substituting for these aspects.

Epiphany Moments, Targeting/Maintaining Erection Levels, and Adjusting The Jelq For Length or Girth: Ask The Experts

Big Al, of MaleEnhancementCoach.com, answers questions about epiphany moments, targeting and maintaining specific erection levels, and adjusting the jelq.

If you have questions you’d like answered in an Ask the Experts article, please PM Big Al

Q. I was wondering if any other members have experienced emotional breakthroughs with their training. Not so much about size but about confidence. Maybe it’s because I’m older, but I recently have hit a place in my life where I’m beyond caring about whether or not I’m good enough for someone. I’m doing this for ME, and if someone likes it then great! If not, the loss is theirs. It’s funny but when I embraced this viewpoint I feel like a weight has been lifted, and sex is actually fun again!

Al: Few things are as satisfying as observing someone having an epiphany moment! A person can come to the realization that the thing they feared was a creation of their own minds. It can be a step closer to learning how to put the ego in its place.

Emotional Visualizations are good for this, but true self-examination is necessary for this to be effective.

Q. I’m having a hard time keeping a 70% erection as instructed for my Squeezes. As soon as I start, my erection slowly declines after several reps and I need to stop to get the erection back. How do I counter this?

Al: Let’s say you’re targeting 70% average for Squeezes. You’ll induce an 80% erection then start the exercise- and continue it until you’re erection drops to 60%. This will give you a good range to work through and that 70% average.

Q. You mention altering the jelq exercise to target more length or more girth. So if I use a lower erection and less lube, it targets length, and more lube and erection targets girth? Is this so?

Al: Regarding the jelq: Correct on both counts. With less lube and erection, the exercise becomes more of a sliding stretch/length movement; whereas with more of an erection and lube it becomes more of a compression/girth movement.

With the higher erection/more lube variant, you’ll also want to slow donw the cadence for each rep slightly.

Types of penises: Shape, size, circumcision, and more

What to know about types of penises

The penis is a male organ with functions that include reproduction and urination. As with any body part, no two people have the same penis.

The penis has two main features. The body, or shaft, connects the penis to the abdomen. At the opposite end of the shaft is the glans, or head.

This article lists some common types of penises, categorized primarily by measurement, and provides some related information.

Length

Penises come in different lengths when flaccid or erect.

Estimates about average penis length can vary. For example, one 2014 study looked at the penis size of United States males. It found that the average erect length was around 5.6 inches.

However, another article suggests there are issues with many penis length studies, including the fact that participants self-report measurements.

These studies use self-reported data and are therefore subject to bias, which likely fuels the widespread belief that the average penis size is closer to 6 inches. In reality, the average is likely to be lower

Girth

Penises also have different girths or circumferences.

A 2014 study into the penis size of U.S. males found that the average erect girth was around 4.8 inches.

However, as with penis length, a person should note that many penis girth studies use self-reported measurements, which are known to be fairly unreliable.

Curvature

Some penises are completely straight when erect. However, many have a bend or curvature. There are three main types of curved penis. These include penises that:

  • curve upwards from its base
  • curve downwards from its base
  • curve to the left or right

Additionally, some people may have multiple kinds of curvature. For instance, some penises may curve to the left and upwards.

Penile curvatures are common and typically benign. They are rarely painful and do not usually make penetrative sex more difficult.

However, abnormal penile curvature can sometimes be a symptom of Peyronie’s disease. One review lists the following as possible symptoms:

  • a thickened area, or plaque, in the penile shaft
  • curvature of the penis during erection
  • pain in the penis
  • erectile dysfunction

Scientists are not sure what causes Peyronie’s disease.

One common explanation is that the condition results from mild, recurring trauma to the penis. This can occur during intercourse or masturbation.

Peyronie’s disease can also be due to a rupture in the penis, known as a penile fracture. Genetic factors may also contribute to the development of this condition.

Anybody who suspects they may have Peyronie’s disease should seek medical advice. Sometimes, people with the condition who experience no other issues, such as pain, could still use their penis for sexual activity without needing medical treatment.

In some cases, doctors may recommend surgery to remove the plaque or reduce the curvature in the penis.

The base to head ratio

For some people, the circumference of the base of their penile shaft is the same as the circumference of their penile head.

For others, this ratio is different. Some may have a penile head with more girth than the base of their shaft, or vice versa.

Circumcised and uncircumcised

A person with a penis is born with a retractable layer of skin that covers the penile head, commonly referred to as the foreskin.

Many people around the world have their foreskin surgically removed, in a process known as male circumcision.

A trained person may carry out male circumcision on children and adults, often for cultural or religious reasons. Doctors can also perform them in medical treatments.

Circumcised penises do not have a foreskin, which means that the glans is always visible. Uncircumcised penises have a foreskin, which often covers the glans, especially when the penis is flaccid.

Some infants can be born without a foreskin, which is a condition called hypospadias. Here, the opening of the penis is not found at the tip. Surgery is usually required to correct this issue.

Uncircumcised men can also develop phimosis, where the foreskin cannot retract over the hood of the glans. This can lead to irritation and infection. People with the condition generally require medical circumcision.

Because circumcision is a surgical process, it can sometimes lead to health issues, including:

  • infection
  • necrosis of the penile head
  • cut to the penile head or urethra
  • penile loss

However, people should note that this procedure is very common. Infections following circumcision, one of the most common possible complications, affect just 0.5% of people.

Summary

Many internet sources misinform and perpetuate myths about penises. In reality, they are highly varied, just like other body parts.

Anyone who has concerns about their penis can seek medical advice from a trained professional.
