I'm a tortured soul, I'm the type that needs to know about my lovers pasts. This is a topic of huge debate... But for me it is very important... I am married and have been for 10 years. Recently, I found that my wife was not telling the truth about slot of past sexual experiences. Some of which would have led me to never Persue her if I'd known the truth in the beginning.

Is you significant others past important to you... How many lovers, both full on sex and oral experiences.... Somethings just sickened me... I love her so I will lol past it... However I will Never trust her again....

You've been married for 10 years and now you're saying you'll never trust her again because she was supposedly untruthful about her sexual past? After 10 years, why does it matter? In fact, I can see asking at the onset of getting serious with someone but once that bridge has been crossed, I think that sort of thing loses relevance. JMO.

So you don't trust her because she didn't tell you stuff she did before she married you. You still love her. You know, you don't know what love is; only control. I'm sure glad I didn't marry you with that attitude.

I find out the "truth" years down the line... Sorry, that makes
Me the ass... Trust me there is no control issues... Again, just betrayed and hurt....

So long as significant other is faithful and doesn't have any type of sexually transmitted diseases, what he or she has done in the past with how ever many people shouldn't matter one damn bit. It's not like sex with anyone but you in the person's entire life taints them as a person and means they're icky.

Could be 10,000,000 for all I would care. Not like it would ever change anything.

Small little word you must remember; wife! You loved her enough to marry her. So who cares what she did before. Maybe you were the one thing she needed to bring stability and love into her life and you're going to mess that up now. Shame on you!

That hurt will roll over into an attitude; the attitude will come up in a fight one and and you'll call someone you love a slut. Chnage your mind and get it right. You're lucky none of the women folk on here hasn't seen this thread yet. When they do it won't be pretty.

I understand your hurt by a lie. It was over 10 years ago though. Have you never messed up? She cannot go back and change the past. Maybe she lied because she was embarrassed, ashamed, or afraid of loosing the best thing she had found in life(you). People do all sorts of things that they wish they could change. What she did I'm sure wasn't to hurt you. She can't change who she was(past). You love her for who she is(present). If she has kept her promises and been faithful and a great spouse forgive the lie. Forget the past. It is you she has wanted to be with or you wouldn't be married 10 years later!

Dude I am totally like you , I always need to my lovers past. But what I have learned from my experience women most of the time will not tell the truth due to they are scared of getting judged. You been married with her for 10 years if she has been good and loyal for 10 years to you than you should not have to worry.

Listen... It just hurt. I came to terms with one thing only to fund that the truth was extremely different.... So, yesnunhabe anyrust issue. I was the one misled. I would have never chosen to continue the relationship with someone with very little sexual morality...

I can understand it hurts because you found so long after I would be mad , but becareful what you say out of anger it might just ruin something so great that you have with her.

So, your wife tells you three... Then you find out its over fifty and over 100 BJ's......

No offence that is a little bit to much, I would be chocked too! I would feel like I got suckered. I know how you feeling dude this would be something serious to for me.

Im not messing up anything....Im just a bit hurt... I didnt say crap about what I was doing about it.... Life goes on... I just wanted to know if anyone else felt the same way.... i guess not...

Dude just stay strong all it matters she stayed loyal to you for the 10 years you have been with her.

You should listen tu funflyer's advice... He's absolutely right.

I know how you feel, because I had the same problem with my current girlfriend (not exactly the same, but almost).

She told me she never slept with any guys before 2 months of relationship. She said she was faithful, she never had any one night stand... For all I cared, she could have been the slut of the country... I just wanted her to be honest with me...

I told her that not having sex with a guy unless he stays 2 months was unbelievable ! She took it badly, said I didn't trust her (even though I said it on a light tone, joking and all)... She got mad, so I forgot about it.

I learned a month later that she was lying... She had one night stands in the past... she doesn't always "wait" 2 months to sleep with a guy... She was just lying, she wanted me to believe I was special (we slept together after 2 weeks)...

I was upset... Not because I thought she was slutty or anything, but just knowing that she'd lied to me for the whole (small) relationship (4 months). And I then understood that she had a STD... which she gave to me... because she used to sleep with guys without condoms (that's something I find reaaaaally stupid... but anyway)...

Yeah... So I perfectly understand what you're going through ;)

But still, funflyer is right. I love this girl, and she loves me... And we're still together (7months of relationship) and I really think I want to spend the rest of my life with her...

So after 10 years ? Really ? just talk to her ! I told my girlfriend that I can't stand lies ! She said she was sorry... She was ashamed of being stupid in the past so she lied... etc.

Just talk to her, and FORGIVE ! You're not going to ruin a 10 years marriage over a stupid lie !

PS : I'm french, sorry if my english is messy :p

I can understand how you feel. You think you married one person and then it turns out that this person has a different side to them. Your mind starts to play tricks on you-you may not want to believe-and yet, it is in your face. The newness of the revelation is fresh in your mind. Logic tells you one thing-emotion tugs at you in a whole different way. Questions come up. You need to sit on this a while. Give yourself some time to think. In the end logic and emotion will most likely mend together and you will be back on level ground. If it bothers you-your feelings should not be easily dissmissed. They are your feelings for a reason. She must feel badly that you are hurting this way too. A little compassion goes a long way. Good Luck.

thats some bs. i mean i dont blame you for being hurt. dishonesty is dishonesty. at the same time, you should be the bigger man, forgive her, and not be passive aggressive about it later down the line.

So, your wife tells you three... Then you find out its over fifty and over 100 BJ's......

This is what I was talking about...

Women who are at least 25 have had more than 20 partners. There's some women who've had problems in their childhood which may have lead them to only having sex with a few guys. But any emotionally healthy responsible woman will have had 20-50 male partners by the time she's 25.

What you have to understand is that women and men age differently and our value to society is inversely proportional.

Women have very high desirability at a young age. They'll get hit on all the time and they have their choice of suitors. Some may just have sex for the fun of it.

Honestly look at the numbers... if a girl goes out clubbing with her friends and meets a guy every two weeks. over the course of a year that's 26 guys right there. it's incredibly easy to start racking up the numbers... 50 guys if she was say 30 by the time she got married is not a big deal... Honestly that's right at the top edge of "normal" in my eyes. If a chick i deem as normal says ANYTHING less than 10, and she's older than 25 I'm liable to call her a full on liar to her face.

Let's break that down...

Lets say a girl has had 56 partners. She started having sex at 16... She gets married at 30... that's a 14 year difference. that's 4 guys a year! a YEAR man... 4 dudes? that's one 3 month relationship every quarter.

Really, in college? Girls can get new guys ever couple of days. All they have to say is "come over" and yes, many girls i knew would have sex with a new guy ever 2 or 3 nights. Their numbers were SKY high...

Don't even waste your time thinking about it...

Yea she knew you'd judge her based on her past experience... that's why she hid it from you. She liked you enough to want to be with you and she knew you'd throw her away if she told you how many frogs she had to kiss to find her prince, you.

Clownfish, I can relate to your dilemma.

I've experienced something similar and it is f*cked up.

To those saying harden up etc, I say if you haven't been in that position, maybe shut up with your judgements and try and understand WHY it is a problem for this bloke, not criticise him for being honest, for f*ck's sake get off your high horses.

As I said, I've experienced something similar, for me it was a few years into a rslationship and yes it can profoundly change how you see your partner. I am very, very far from conservative, but women who fall within my definition of 'too easy' are, to me, something I stay clear of. Ex-boyfriends who loved and cared for my girl didn't bother me, but I hate the idea of girls getting totally pissed (drunk) and getting banged by some guy looking for a breathing masturbation device.
I have a younger sister and anyone who did that to her would disappear.

When I found out that I'd been misled and lied to I was furious. We aren't talking about a small lie either although it wasn't quite as substantial as this example.

Question is, where does this leave you. For me, I still loved my partner, but this new info changed how I saw her, in a huge way it felt like I didn't know who she was anymore, which was a horrible feeling after I'd made some enormous sacrifices to be with her and after a not-insignificant amount of time.

I decided not to end it, and instead took the hard road and started to talk - over a number of months - about her experiences, how they were for her, what they meant to her, to understand her again. It wasn't pleasant to hear this stuff but it helped me understand who my parnter was again. I also went a saw a therapist to talk it out a bit, to help deal with the anger and hurt I felt at being lied to, and other unresolved stuff that came up (from a previous relationship). This was very helpful. She also started seeing a therapist because her experiences were not particularly pleasant and she wanted some resolution around them.

I'm still with my girl and love her more than I ever have. BUT, my concept of her now is very different to how it was before - not good or bad, just different.

It's all well and good to tell someone to forgive them, throw numbers at them about how many men she should have f*cked by now (which is bullshit IMO anyway), or tell them to harden the f*ck up... But it is POINTLESS. Mate, you have a potentially difficult task ahead of you, but it's not hopeless by any means. It is all about YOU. You need to find out why it is bothering YOU, and it's not wrong or right, it just is the way it is. Find a therapist or someone you can talk to, write down your thoughts and how you are feeling to get it out there. You could well find yourself in a happier place than you were before, it's ok to be angry and sad etc, just be kind to yourself and to her while you figure it out.

Good luck.

Why? I know I asked you the same thing on another thread, but I don't get it. You think a chick should have been with at least 20 guys by 25? Some girls, and guys, only have sex with their significant others right? So that is pretty much saying that a chick has had at least 2 boyfriends a year since she was like 15. I find that number high my brother, of course I am no expert as we all know.

Dude...where do you get these numbers? And it is problems in their childhood that cause sex with only a few guys? What the fuck? What is this world coming to?
