Thanks, Pound. I am really considering my upcoming rest period, which I think is due, given I'll be nearly 90 days in. But I've been trying to figure out how long it should be. Something you said on another thread has me thinking maybe it shouldn't be very long. My normal inclination from strength/fitness training would be to do a 28 day cycle like I've described here, then take 4 days (the length of a micro-cycle) off. Reading other threads around here about the importance of rest made me think maybe I should take longer off, but I also don't want to "upset the apple cart" given the gains I'm currently seeing. Any thoughts on rest would be appreciated.

I've also been thinking about adding a non-manual tool to the routine during my next cycle, but I'm on the fence. Part of me wants to add a Bathmate, which would allow for some girth work while in the tub or shower without having to change my length-based routine, but the idea of an extender is also tempting. I'm still mostly in a length-oriented mindset, but adding girth is always welcome. Anyway, lots to ponder as I finish out this cycle and rest a bit.

Thanks again to all you guys for your advice and support. I never thought I could actually make this much of a difference for the size and health of my unit, but here I am. It's quite empowering.

As BPFSL continues to go up, it's increasingly difficult to create the 3-5% strain I'm looking for at this point. This might indicate the upcoming rest period is right on time.

1.5 mirco-cycles left till the break. Hoping to get to 6.75" BPEL before then, but still haven't had two consecutive sessions with multiple 6.75+ measurements, so we'll see. Regardless, gains have been fantastic so far.

I measured today, and I've actually picked up .25" girth just below the glans, from 4.25" to 4.5" so that's a quarter-inch girth gain up the entire shaft so far!

I think your strain calc is off.

7/6.825 => 1.025 - 1 => .025 * 100 => 2.5%

It was supposed to be 6.875 pre, so the numbers are right, but that's a good catch. Editing my post to reflect proper Pre-BPFSL ....

Today was a bit lackluster. My privacy window didn't turn out to be quite as long as I'd hoped, and I ended up having to be on a work call (though I didn't have to talk much) for most of the routine, which doesn't help. That said, I did get the work in.

I am feeling more and more like the upcoming break is right on time. I might even take the break before planned. I've been at this for 67 days now, and gained a bit over .75" in that time. The data shows my BPFSL is no longer increasing from cycle to cycle, and I am not keeping the % strain where I want it to be. Plus, I'm starting to feel signs of fatigue, however minor. Tomorrow is a day off. I will have a pretty wide window Wednesday, so I'll likely to do a workout then. If I'm consistently over 6.75" BPEL with high EQ on Wednesday, I'll probably do another workout Thursday to see if I can get two consecutive sessions with 6.75+ to up my official measurement. If I'm stretching it to get there Wednesday, I'll probably go ahead and take a little break to re-assess and see how the break feels before starting another cycle fresh.

Today is officially a rest day, but I was feeling pretty randy so I edged for 10 minutes or so. EQ was off the charts, so I took some measurements. All came out at or slightly above 6.75" with no stretching or warmup, just straight to erection for edging!

Will measure again tomorrow after Low Intensity workout. If measurements confirm, I'll up my sig, and consider pressing on through the scheduled break to get to 1" gain before I rest.

I know I've gone back and forth about when to break and for how long. I felt pretty fatigued after yesterday's workout (High Volume/Intensity), so I started thinking "break sooner than later." But I hate to break if gains are still coming, and I'm only 1/8" from 1" gained overall. I've consistently been gaining 1/8" every 1-2 weeks, so if I can confirm 6.75" tomorrow, I think I'll reduce the overall volume of each micro-cycle slightly (to avoid fatigue), and try to push through another week or two to see if I can get to that 1" gain before the break.

That would be a MAJOR motivator to enjoy the hell out of my break and hit the ground running after.

4/15 -- Low Intensity Day (60 minutes)

  • 10-min warmup
  • 25 min stretches (no real structure, various angles for 30s each, along with a bunch of side-to-sides)
  • 25 min edging (using We-Vibe Pivot cock ring with porn and climax)

Today was a great session! My wife took my son to Speech Therapy, so I had the house to myself for about 1.5 hours. My post BPFSL measurement ticked up, so my % strain is back where I want it. AND I'm officially up to 6.75" BPEL, with all measurements today at or above that mark! I'm even touching my 1" overall gain at 6.825" on some measurements, so I've decided to take the scheduled break off the table for now.

I do plan to reduce the overall volume of my micro-cycles. I was trying to "ramp up" with each micro-cycle, but after feeling quite fatigued after the last high intensity workout, I'm just going to stay at a roughly steady state, with the 20 min stretch cycle and edging as my low day, then adding 300 and 600 jelqs, along with ULI to my med and high days going forward. This is a volume I know I can handle, and plus it's less time consuming than continually ramping up. I'll keep this going for at least another 2.5 micro-cycles (10 days), and plan to break when I hit that 1" overall gain.

REFLECTIONS ON MY LAST SESSION AND THE ORIGINS OF MY PE JOURNEY

In my most recent session (4/15) I put on my We-Vibe Pivot for my post-stretch edging session. My wife and I had a pretty extended drought last year sometime, and we had numerous confrontations/arguments about how/when we were going to fix things (both of us clearly wanted to). When we did get back to regular sexy time, I bought some toys to keep things interesting. The first one I bought was the We-Vibe Pivot. It's a fancy vibrating cock ring, basically. It's kinda large, so I noticed the first couple of times we used it, my length just wasn't cutting it. With the Pivot on, I only had maybe 5" left for penetration. She was fine with it, because when I was all up inside her, most of my junk was up in her, AND she had this motor vibing on her clit; but it got me to thinking about how much more fun it would be if I were even just an inch longer.

Then I found myself searching the net about such things and landed here. Since resolving to do PE seriously in February of this year, we haven't used the Pivot, so today was the first time I pulled it out and put it on. Man, what a difference! I can grip my shaft with my whole hand above the Pivot, and still have room above before I get to the glans. Before PE I would have had to use my thumb and maybe 3 fingers to do that.

This is all to say that the progress is real, and the resulting sense of accomplishment/confidence is not to be underestimated, even for a guy who was plenty confident and secure in his relationship with his SO before any of this.

Bit of an abbreviated workout today. Privacy was somewhat limited, and I had to work around work calls and teaching math to my son. Still, I'm encouraged that BPEL measurements continue to confirm 6.75", and BPFSL measurements continue to grow and my % strain is back in the optimal range of 2-4%, all of which should indicate continued future BPEL growth.

4/18 -- Day off

4/19 -- Morning intercourse as our son was at his Gammy's overnight last night.

Intercourse was great as it usually is. We went almost an hour, which was great, but that was mostly due to the fact that it took me longer than usual to get fully aroused. Once I did, however, it was awesome, and I had a very powerful orgasm as my wife finished me off. Even shot some cum onto the sheet above my shoulder, which is also unusual. I take the intensity of the orgasm to be a great thing, but I don't like that it takes me longer to get aroused.

I attribute that to two possible things: 1) More manual stimulation during PE leads to more manual stimulation needed overall, and/or 2) more watching of porn has desensitized my brain a bit. Keep in mind I don't watch gonzo or aggressive porn, so it's not like I need some increasingly crazy sex acts to get me off. I mostly watch slowly-developing porn from places like Wow-Porn or X-Art ... generally stuff my wife likes to watch on occasion as well. It's possible that's making a difference, but I'm thinking it's maybe more related to the increased manual stimulation during PE.

I've seen folks comment on how PE can decrease EQ during heavy exercise cycles. My EQ is generally very high when highly stimulated, but again, I'm doing many exercises over the course of 30-45 minutes before I even get to the point where I'm edging at max EQ. Anyhow, just curious if anyone else has thoughts. I'll post another thread if no one comments here over the next day or so. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I'm taking the rest of today off, given the extended sex and massive orgasm I had this morning. That'll be two off days before another micro-cycle starts tomorrow. Really hoping to hit that 1" gain overall before a longer break in the near future!

Hey Yogi, my EQ seem to increase a lot after just a week of concentrating more on kegels. Just making sure to get them in every day and not just doing them during jelqs. You may or may not be doing this already, if not give it a shot. I do 20-30 normal kegels then 3 10 second holds as one set.

Awesome. Let me know how it goes. Definitely helped with erections and morning wood. Make sure to incorporate reverse kegels as well, very helpful to instantly fill the penis with blood on command. I always start my jelqing with a reverse kegel, seem to get a way better pump.

You probably know because I'm probably one of the ones you're referring to but I have always experienced lesser EQ on active or even 'near active' (i.e. rest day after) PE training days. I have never 'agreed with' the PI that EQ goes up when you PE nor have I experienced feeling 'refreshed' after PE like some claim (unless refreshed means sexually frustrated since I end PE with edging without release).
My lesser EQ on PE days frequently presents like this:
-Longer arousal time
-Loss of erection during 'interruptions' mid-intercourse (i.e. getting new toys, major change up in positioning, etc.)
- EQ only like 7 or 8 until close to release
- No morning/night wood

I actually proved (during my rest week) that these EQ problems went away where at the end of the rest week my EQ was at high school/college levels even prior to 'getting it on' (see my success story for details). And last night (after 2 days off for the weekend and starting my new day on day off weekly routine) I woke up multiple times with massive night and morning wood.

So my anecdotal conclusion is that active PE decreases EQ and can even have slight ED effects. Once PE is halted, given rest time, EQ returns and ED effects go away.

Break time is officially here. I did have consistent measurements at 6.875" during edging today, but that's the first session that confirms it, so I'm not going to update my sig yet (my standard is to have two consecutive sessions prior to updating sig).

I wanted to stick it out until I could confirm 1" overall gain in BPEL, but PI's are starting to turn negative. EQ is starting to degrade, and it's taking longer to get fully erect. As Solid pointed out earlier, these aren't unusual symptoms, but it's the first I've seen of them, so I'm sure fatigue is setting in. Plus, I noticed some tiny red pin-prick dots at the top of my shaft today for the first time. Also, I've noticed a slightly "ropier" feeling in my flaccid peen over the past few days, which worries me. I don't think I'm having full on "hard flaccid," but I feel like rest is indicated.

So my plan is to take 4-7 days off. I'll concentrate on kegels and allow some light stretching here and there. I'll take advantage of any opportunities for sex with the wife. Otherwise, no masturbation and no ejaculation, at least until the ropy feeling and the pin-prick dots go away.

Gains have already been more than I thought possible when I first landed on this site (+.875" BPEL in 2.5 months), so I'm excited about taking a break and hitting the ground running in a week or so to gain that last .75" BPEL to hit my goal!

Alright, so I am officially in a rest period, but I woke up with a raging hard on this morning and given the high EQ I couldn't help but edge a little bit and take some measurements. I was at or above 6.875" BPEL on all measurements, so I'm incrementing my sig and taking my rest period as a victory lap for gaining overall 1" BPEL in my first ~3 months of PE!!

Now for a few more days of rest and a bit of planning before going for that 7.5+" goal.

On my third day of rest now.

Red pin-pricks are gone. I've been doing JAI stretches after urination 10-20 reps and some light stretching/edging once a day to test arousal time. Edging could go on as long as I want it to, and time to full arousal (as well as manual stimulation required to get there) is decreasing daily so that's a positive.

I ordered a 47mm horseshoe cockring to augment my upcoming cycle. Otherwise, I plan to continue more or less with the same program, starting back up over the weekend or early next week.

I also measured at the peak of edging today, and I'm still consistently at 6.875" or slightly above, so the rest isn't negatively impacting gains at this point.
