I see the US has had negative gdp growth .
I have long predicited a US recession .

Question is will it spread to other western nations ?
Even a country like Australia which is little directly affected .
So Australias biggest export to Us is beef but then with less Us beef going into China we sell more to the Chinese so meh .
We actually import more from the US than we export to them and there is alternate sources for much of it . So instead of Tesla , Byg electric cars .
However if China is badly affected by US tarrifs they might buy less iron etc . Similar with other countries we trade with like Japan

Trump said he does not know whether he's required to uphold the U.S. Constitution as president in an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press.”

"I don't know," Trump said when asked by host Kristen Welker whether he needs to uphold the Constitution. Our local dog catcher knows the president takes an oath to uphold the Constitution.

It's hard to envision it not affecting the rest of the world. The US is the worlds largest importer and, I think, the second largest exporter. The US consumer gets hit pretty hard - I agree we'll see a recession here - but the knock-on effect goes way beyond that.

Biden didn't uphold the Law, and Democrats didn't care until their Sanctuary cities and states were overrun by Illegals!
As of January 2024, more than 7.2 million migrants had illegally crossed into the U.S. over the Southwest border during U.S. President Joe Biden's administration — a number higher than the individual populations of 36 states. Remember, Biden claimed he needed Legislation to protect the Border! Which was Total BS! But Democrats believed it, as the Lame Stream "DNC" Media never questioned it!

California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom needed a $3.4 billion loan to cover health care costs, as the state provides Free Health Care to Illegal immigrants. Bet the Taxpayers of California are keen on that fact!

The post was about Trump’s statement Regarding his role regarding the Constitution. Why bring up Biden a Newsom? They may have interpreted the law in ways you do not agree with but At least Biden and Newsom never proclaimed they may not abide by the Constitution.

I don't care about ILLEGALs and the Biden Administration that allowed an INVATION of the United States!
Biden's #1 Job as President, chief executive, and commander in chief of the armed forces, the President has the responsibility for national security. 11+ Million Illegals? Blame the Dementia Patient for the Mess HE Caused!

As a percentage, undocumented immigrants are less likely to commit serious crimes than citizens. Undocumented immigrants help improve our economy - make up 25% of farm workers; 19% of maintenance and housekeeping services; 17% of construction workers; and 12% of food workers. In addition, they paid in excess of $10 billion in income taxes. $10 billion in property taxes, and $8 billion in sales taxes in addition to paying into Social Security without ever receiving benefits.

Umm Ccb it is amusing you think I am Canadian and that you think the US will be fine despite what is already happening .

The future has more lessons for you but then some won't learn .

I thought you had stated that previously, my mistake. Nonetheless, Canada is in big trouble.
The future is so very bright, but legacy media states differently. After all they have lied about, it’s best to assume whatever they say is exactly opposite of the truth.
You are correct, there ARE many lessons to be learned. As I stated in an earlier post, let’s see what happens and revisit this in one year.

PS, you don’t know what you’re missing if you’re not on X. Legacy media is dead.

The last 250 years.
So, you mean in the long term. Not that there won't be a major impact to the US economy in the short term.

Eating out at a Chinese restaurant is no longer a bargain. A 40-pound bag of rice used to go for $25, but now it has skyrocketed to $61.

Major? Questionable at best, but maybe. Minor hiccup, probably. But I’ve assumed we have always been discussing what’s best long-term for America, no?

Pegasus mentioned last quarter's negative GDP and predicted a recession for the US, asking whether it will impact the world and I said it probably would. So it sounded as though when you said the US will be fine, you were responding those comments. All the data that I'm looking at indicates at least a recession, if not a depression, in the next 5 years. Sure, the US can be pretty resilient and bounce back from hardship. But recessions and depressions are very bad for many people so I'm not sure how the conclusion, "the US will be fine" can be drawn right now.

Hmm difficult to know what Ccb means when he says long term but mentions revist in 1 year .

I have already crystal balled recession and double digit inflation within that time period . I can add there is a risk of double digit unemployment .

So I don't regard that as fine .
