The economic gain from immigration is questionable. The number of undocumented individuals in the U.S. is estimated to be over 30 million, with some experts suggesting it could be closer to 50 million. So do the math. Deduct that cost (and it's actually probably even higher than that) from the economic gain that you conveniently dismissed and the number is positive. By a very wide margin. So...sure...you can reduce the expense of healthcare for undocumented immigrants and, at the same time, give up the, literally, hundreds of billions of dollars they contribute to the economy.
I remember the days when Republicans called the Democrats socialists. Now both parties embrace it!
Who ultimately pays for the benefits received by these individuals when they come to the U.S. illegally? The US Taxpayers.
When undocumented individuals commit serious crimes and are wanted, where do they go?
They often leave the U.S. to return to their home countries.
Is the West in decline? If so, why do more immigrants choose to come to the U.S. than to any other country in the world?
