I say let the Trump hard liners have their debate and decry the “massive voter fraud.” I believe the Constitution provides for such procedures. Perhaps, once they have let it all out in a public forum, they will come to realize the results are a far gone conclusion and that baseless allegations do not trump hard evidence. It seems they want to solidify the Trump base behind their future political aspirations.

My concern is that some time in the future both chambers could be controlled by the same party and this objection procedure, though only remotely possible, could result in disenfranchising the vote of the general public in favor of the opposing view of the legislative branch of government.

Johnny I appreciate your post. I thank you for the invitation to dance to the Pelosi to which I decline. But I will say like any politician from any party she is a mixed bag a good and bad. Over all not my favorite. There were more deaths from covid in December than in the two prior months and with 85000000 traveling over the holidays January should be worse. For those who have ears to hear, the fat lady has not sung on the pandemic yet.
OK. Got it. So Dem's claiming fraud = democracy in action. Rep's claiming fraud = sedition. Just wanted to be clear on that.

The two party system will be a failure regardless of who is in office, it always has been and will be.

Politicians on both sides have been controlled for decades. Our own government gave away our sovereignty in 1933.

Unfortunately so many that argue for left or right are ignorant.

I agree. This is a move to test the ability of the constitution to allow the people and not congress to pick our leader. What will fail this time may succeed at a future date.

At the risk of going way off topic, I just want to know whether you called Boxer's actions in 2004 seditious and treasonous. Pelosi referred to it as "Democracy in action" at the time. But this time it borders on treason and sedition?? Why is that and how consistent were you then?

Hey Johnny you were right on this. I went back and read some articles on the 2004 move by Boxer. She should have not pulled that stunt. She like Pelosi is a mixed bag and I was never a fan. That was a govermentally crap move. Surprising I voted for McCain. I really liked his brand of republican. The are really good and sound members from both parties in congress and both parties have their fair share of bad apples. I think that may be some common ground mate. You were right to bring 2004 up.

From what I have read, there have been objections raised in many of the past election tally joint sessions. I recall Al Gore refused to accept a Democratic objection to his loss because a Senator had not signed it. However, in previous years, no one made a major issue out of it because there was little to no chance it would go any where so the press didn’t follow it. However, this year Trump made it a big issue as his last chance to to reverse the majority vote of the people.

Republicans are grasping at straws in desperation and a very unhealthy allegiance to Trump. The lack of evidence for fraud is abundantly clear in the writings of judges after nearly 60 rejected lawsuits (some of them, Trump appointees) and the RNC and Trump campaign are wasting money and looking like fools. Having said that, if it wasn't sedition in 2004 (it wasn't), it ain't sedition now.

Fair enough Johnny. Well stated and in all fairness I will step back from my prior comment. Tip of the hat to you mate.

Just because sixty lawsuits are rejected still does mean that there isn't fraud. To many it just shows how deep the swamp is. Like Trump's phone call with the Georgia officials. He asked about the box brought out after people left when they were told counting would not continue. From listening to the call, when Trump asked about it. The conversation got quiet for a few seconds, like they got caught with a mouth full of cookies and their hand in the jar.

Go listen to yesterdays Dan Bongino's show where he plays more of the call than the left leaning media outlets played for those to see and hear.

Anyone that can watch the evidence and say there is no fraud is delusional. Whether your side has won or not, there are massive amounts of evidence.

I cannot stand by a democrat or republican that has cheated so much. I admittedly don't want Biden as president but I would accept it, but not with this level of deception.

ITS ON VIDEO, THE EVIDENCE IS OVERWHELMING!!!

Accoerding to Francis Watson, Chief Investigator for the Georgia Secretary of State in an affidavit submitted to the u.S. District Court of Northern Georgia, “Our investigation and review of the security footage revealed that there were no mystery ballots hidden under tables as reported by some.” Videos starting at 8:22 am showed tables being brought in with no bins stored under them. At 10:30 pm videos show that ballots already opened and verified but not counted were stored in boxes which were placed under the tables in full view of the monitors. When counting continued later that evening the boxes were opened and the ballots were counted.

There are thousands of signed affidavits by pole watchers that say they saw cheating. Are sworn statements only accepted if they are from liberals?

We cant say the others are all false or lying than stand by an affidavit by another just because they support the side you want to win. The only way to know is with a fair and honest trial or court case but we cant even get one to be considered.

With all the high caliber lawyers that the president has, can anyone believe that they cant put together a case free of dismissal because of technicalities???

It would be one thing if they had a court session but they are dismissing everything....EVERYTHING!

Don't get me wrong here, if they investigate the evidence and find it to be fraudulent on the part of the Republicans than I want them in jail just the same.

There are literally thousands of signed affidavits and not a single judge has even given any one of these witnesses the chance to speak.

That stinks no matter who one wants to win.

People were told the counting was done for the night then counting continued, is anyone really foolish enough to believe the entire room misunderstood something and all left? If they started to leave, where was the attempt to tell them..no, no, we aren't done yet......They didn't all leave at the same time thinking they were done for no reason.
They cheated and they got caught, now there is collusion with the entire media but you cant even hear mention of
half of the claims on the news.

I seen the videos of pizza boxes on the windows in Detroit at the poll centers, is that OK in anyones mind, give me an explanation on how that could be legal.

Pennsylvania had more votes than registered voters, around 200,000 more voters, can that be explained. The only thing the media says about any claim is baseless, how can it be baseless before an investigation.

If I believed my side won and they were accused of cheating I would want an investigation to prove that my side didn't cheat.

The democrats will do anything to stop an honest investigation because they know damn well they cheated.

A disclaimer......I can and will stand by what I think is true but if any of you disagree with me, I will hold no grudges, I am in this for honest debate so please do not take anything I say as personal.

I would be happy to give each other a hard time over this with a beer. I mean this sincerely

Not2big thank you for your post. Every election has some problems and some fraud even the election Trump won but it is never at the level to change the election. To say that the evidence of massive fraud exist in the face of overwhelming evidence against it is akin to saying there was no holocaust in spite of the evidence. Or the moon landing was filmed in a studio. Several interviews I have seen of a Qanon soccer mom had them saying there is a video of Clinton engage in unspeakable acts with children. They will say. Watch the video. Seriously. I am sure there were mistakes and even some fraud but not even statistically significant. We can't even coordinate getting the vaccine out and the fraud you speak of would take coordination on a massive scale to gin millions of votes. Just didn't happen on that scale.

Good to hear, but even if you thought I was full of beans, we can still have that beer :)

To be honest, both sides are corrupt in my opinion.

Totally in for the beer mate. And I don' t even think you are full of beans. Both parties are grappling with big internal problems and all my voting life i have voted for the person not the party. I tend to be fiscally conservative and more socially liberal. Cheers.
