Guys do you really think only 22,000 died of the flu in 2019-20? Now the average deaths per year for flu is around 50k; so you think that covid scared away the flu? Do you know anyone who died of an illness other than covid yet their death was listed as covid? I do.
Here's what you see in the latter part of next year. You will see many lawsuits challenging the cause of death. There are a number of people who died by accident in one form or another.Many life insurance policies give an extra benefit for accidental death and people want their money.When you know what your loved one died of and seeing the cause of death as covid and you know the guy died in a car accident you'll want your accidental death benefit. I have heard a law firm not far from me who are already preparing the paperwork needed to begin to get the records. Stick around til next year and see if I'm right then tell me the official covid death count.

Whether masks would help prevent the spread of flu is debatable. I've already posted the most recent study of 50 states showing no correlation between mask compliance and case counts. If anyone wants to dispute the study, please feel free to.

But what I'm asking about is the lockdowns. Fizz said that we should always put lives before the economy so I want to know why we don't do that for seasonal flu when 40k-80k people die in the US from it. Why don't we prioritize those lives over people's businesses and "the economy"? He said that it shouldn't even be a choice.

And, BTW... If they counted flu deaths the same way they're counting Covid deaths, the flu death count every season would be WAY higher than it is!

So Fauci shouldn't be questioned? I have shown you many times already where Fauci was dead wrong but hid behind the "data supports" thing. Go look at his work and recommendations during the HIV. He should have been canned along time ago.
And why not question the CDC; they're infallible? What steps did they take when they first knew there was something going on in China back in Oct 2019? What steps did they take back in 2009-10 when H1N1 came here. Their job is to prevent things like this from happening here so you're not the least bit intrigued as to what they actually did to prevent pandemics? I'd like to know; I need to question my government and it's institutions. Not questioning government is a disaster waiting to happen.

Just heard that the Florida Governor has decided seniors over 65 will have the same status as front line workers on a first come first serve basis as opposed to the CDC recommendation that only seniors over 75 be on the second priority list.

Deaths from flu are down in most places due to the covid restrictions . So social distancing ,masks ,hand washing etc has an effect against flu and funny enough pneumonia . So deaths from flu and pneumonia are down in my state as well as no covid .

Questioning government and institutions is vital to our democracy and we have the right to do that. Haranguing and spreading misinformation threatening public officials lives arguing for arguing sake is not hold institutions accountable it is playing with yourself and they say if you do that too much you go blind. Blind to real facts real data how government really works. It is chaos for chaos sake. It is not investigation it it denigration it is not meant to make things better it is Britbarts idea of destroying institutions and creating chaos. Show me the positive motive behind being negative and distrustful of everyone. I do not see the end game of making things better from a lot of people here only complaining and making destructive and often tenuous or outright baseless comment that go no where but end in blindness.

Our data in California is showing the same. By following the safety protocols and getting the flu vaccine flu numbers are way down. This is an important lesson going forward in how to manage flu season from health policy perspective. Cheers

Do you have any science, any data to support your assertion that it continues? Or is it simply because people will still get it and die? People will get the flu and die - is it a pandemic? Do you dispute the data that I posted? And you still haven't told me why you're not willing to shut down the economy to save people from dying of the flu every year? I am not going to address your lack of understanding around what a pandemic is. But to your credit you are in agreement with Trump who said we have turned the corner and we know he is a very stable genius. How do we know best he told us he is using the best words. How do we know he used the best words because he told us i use the best words. So Europe is seeing more death than when this started. I wonder should we let them know the pandemic is over. As a contrast Biden said our darkest days are ahead of us. Hmmm the guy posed the question about injecting bleach or the next president that is talking to the public like he is addressing adults saying what all the credible scientist say. The pull your head out the pandemic is not over not because I am saying that but because the virus is not nearly done with the world the "pan" part of pandemic.

My Asian neighbor had to fly to Taiwan to attend a funeral in Taiwan and was require to show a negative Covid test before flying and again tested when landed. Then had to spend 14 days in solo isolation (husband and wife in separate rooms) in a hotel and agree to have her home tracked for any movement. Taiwan cases of Covid - 0.

When I tell someone they're wrong about something I back it up with information. You say that I don't know what I'm talking about yet still haven't been able to provide a shred of information to support your argument. And it's kinda funny since you're the one who said,
