Fauci will prove to be a controlled criminal when this is all said and done, he has turned more tricks than a 20 dollar crack whore.

If anyone has gone back and forth on what they have told the public, it has been Fauci.

I am a veteran, I can assure you that most veterans are very opposed to what is going on with this scamdemic. The only difference is that those who oppose it are not given time in the media.

If they weren't afraid of the truth coming out, they would top deplatforming doctor that are against it. Speak out against the narrative and you will find yourself under attack.

Many very good doctors have been relieved of their positions just for suggesting covid is not what they tell us it is.

At least Fauci is willing to change his conclusions when science provides updated data, as opposed to the orange man.

Please show me where Trumps opinions, his ranting or whatever you want to call it please show me where it changed any policy? Oh I know his people didn't wear masks at his rallies and they didn't social distance. Well his last rally was more than months ago so why the spike now? Oh I know it's all the Republicans who all got together over Thanksgiving and they're the ones spreading it.Really?

Now this one is one of my favorites. Fauci is willing to change his opinions which means that Fauci was wrong many times and he was the one running the show. Trump was just standing there. Fauci told us early on to stay indoors and honker down only to find out months later that that was the worst thing to do. Can anyone tell me how many people died because of that wrong policy? You don't set policy that costs lives without facts and he had none. He told us early on masks were not needed. How many died while Fauci was figuring it out whether masks were needed or not?
Bottom line; the CDC get 6 billion a year to prevent pandemics from reaching our shores. They knew back in October of 19 that something bad was coming out of China and they did nothing. Trump had nothing to do with their failure.

I'm sorry it's like being sober at a party where everyone else is drunk. I just don't get it. Oh yes trump was making a joke about injecting bleach or somehow disinfecting from the inside of you is that possible he asked the docs seated to the side. People always make jokes at medical briefing to the American people. Well at least other countries got the joke or at least they were laughing at us which I guess is the next best thing. New Zealand's amazing accomplishment aside, we have failed the worst in the world. We who make funny of other countries health care have completely dropped the ball from lack of leadership and general medical illiteracy. The isn't a gun fight it is a grow your Dick bigger forum and not where men of letters gather to have dialogues with Socrates. It the real Dicks of Beverly Hills. Believe in science. Believe in democracy. Believe in your own self worth and that of your neighbor. Care about your fellow man like you are a decent person. Good talk...

It is to Dr Fauci's credit that he is willing to change his opinion when new information comes out. If scientist didn't do that we would still have to say the world is flat the earth is the center of the universe and no need to wash hands before surgery as saying there are germs would be going back on the bad humors theory of the middle ages. The reason it is called a novel virus is that it acts in ways we never encountered. As knowledge is gained prior statements have to be adjusted. Wow that not even a hard concept. Even someone who only brings a knife to a gun fight gets that.

If Fauci is a real criminal maybe he will get a pardon like all the other mob bosses. Drain the swap. Lol. That's a good one. He brought every low life that would pander to him into the peoples house let the act like Visigoths and then pardoned them. Certainly Fauci deserves a pardon. It not like he conspired with the Russian to get involved in American elections or had a perfect phone call with Ukraine. Good talk...

You don't set policy, harm peoples lives and even kill people based on what you know at the time. Instead of being a big know it all maybe lives would have been saved had he come out and say the truth; based on what we know today this might be a wise course of action. Until such time as we have more information I urge you the American people, to stick to the basics; wash your hands frequently, stay away from people if you don't feel well and if you have a mask wear it when you go out. That's not what he did. HE SET POLICY WITHOUT KNOW WHAT TOMORROW WILL BRING. Go read his interview in the New England Journal of Medicine Feb 2020. Talk about downplaying he compared covid to a bad flu and we'll have some deaths and he knew just what do do except for a month later he found out he was mostly wrong.
Why do drugs and vaccines take a while to go through the FDA pipeline? So independant people can see if it's safe and doesn't kill a lot of people. Hey many people who some of those drugs could help die because of the slowness of the process but in may save more lives in the long run.
That's what healthcare is all about; since you're dealing with lives you go on the sure thing until you get definitive proof. You don't guess, you don't tell people what you told them to do yesterday was wrong because you got new info today. You play it safe. Being in healthcare for as long as I have Fauci costs more lives than Trump and the media loved it.

I feel certain that we are going to be fast friends once we get past the obvious irreconcilable differences on every point. Beyond that it just blue skies and raising a pint. Cheers!

I honestly have never seen so many people who worry about catching a virus with a 99.7% survival rate. Worry is a particularly virulent form of fear. Worry is a trickle of fear that meanders through the mind until it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts drain.

For many people, worry has become so ingrained in their personalities that once the old worries are gone, they search for new ones... it's like a rocking chair, it will give you something to do, but you won't go anywhere. So their worry and fear over catching the Covid boogie man has turned them into self appointed hall monitors who run around scolding anyone who's not wearing a stupid mask, or for not wearing it the way they want you to.

While my wife and I were leaving a Lowe's the other day, a guy behind us remarked to his partner "look at those assholes not wearing their masks the right way". I turned and asked him if he had something to say to me directly? They quietly passed by and I said "that's what I thought, another crow making a bunch of noise".

Hey Johnny! Can you provide a source other than Tweets. I don’t tweet, but would be interested in reading the source information
You don't have to tweet to see the info I provided. The tweets, themselves, have the source information, additional data to go with it, and a lot of follow up. And 2 of the 4 sources I provided aren't tweets but I posted the tweets so that you'd have full context and also be able to look into more of the data. I don't know if you're being obtuse?? but the tweets aren't just a one-liner or just something someone said - they're posts of data and studies.

Why is this?

I understand why Aussie and NZ have done far better and Germany has been explained to me but my understanding of Canada is limited .

Well for starters Canada has a population of about 40 million while the US has about 360 million in roughly the same land mass. Canada has a handful of major cites while we have many more. Canada is sparsely populated compared to the US. Want some more?

Plenty of big cities in Canada for covid to spread in I would not have thought that is such an issue

I don't believe in irreconcilable differences but I am aware of stubborness that prevents people from seeing truth due to emotions, in your case hatred. Other than his words you have not told me one thing the orange man did wrong policy wise. Was he right to close flights from China? Yes. Was he right to close the country when it was needed? Yes. Was he right to tell people to keep the schools open because young kids rarely are affected by the virus and could be better monitored in school than running around cray at home? Yes. Was he right in trying to speed up the formulation of a vaccine? Yes. He never changed his opinion on those things did he?

Now let's look at Fauci. He said in January Americans need not be concerned about the virus. Was he right? He said a travel ban was not needed. Was he right? He, along with the WHO said there is no airborne transmission. Was he right? He said you didn't need a mask. Was he right? He said in February this virus will be no worse than a bad flu year. Was he right? He said to close the schools. Was he right? He said to stay indoors. Was he right?

Please tell me what I am missing. I see Fauci being wrong a lot of times. I don't see what Trump did, not say, but actually did was wrong.
Fauci hid behind this phrase which I know you heard many times; the data supports. How the hell do you set policy, as he did, with something brand new where the data was changing every week? What the data supported in February was changed 2 week later and then changed again and again. In healthcare you don't say do this and then change it the next week. That's how people die. Please educate me.

The whole size of the country argument is a logical argument as you can look at New Zealand hard lock down and Sweden lets do nothing and try herd imimmunity(Trumps unofficial policy) New Zealand success. Sweden's government issuing statement the Swedish experiment a huge failure. So in this case size doesn't matter. It is the people in a country and whether they are educated and listen to science public health policy and sane leaders or decide to follow the pig farmer and porn purveyor who started QAnon and has soccer moms believing politicians are drinking the blood of children. We have a big problem in this country with data vs false garbage pseudo science. Yes Victoria there really are Zombies and they are trying to steal the election. No it is lack of understanding that as citizens of what could be a great nation we owe eachother to protect eachother. A great society doesn't give choices like the economy or your life. Like Eddie Izzard Cake or Death? We protect lives first by wearing masks social distance and yes at times lockdown then we help the business community sustain until we get to the other side. We don't go golfing in luxury while the country suffers

And still, you have no data to substantiate your arguments. You've simply dug your heels in on the blue side of the line and parrot whatever you're hearing in your echo chamber - parroting the narrative. You say to believe in science but you haven't provided any science that supports your assertion that the pandemic will continue (when in fact it's behind us) unless 75% of the population is vaccinated. I'm unconvinced that you, yourself, believe in science. Instead, you blindly believe the people who claim to be speaking from science yet don't actually produce any.

Probably myriad factors to weigh when comparing nations and regions. They don't all define and report cases the same way. They don't all classify deaths the same way. My understanding is that Canadians haven't done much testing relative to the US, for example. I'm sure demographics matter but don't know how significant that would be when looking at Canada vs US. As well as the "dry tinder" phenomenon. In other words, some countries had a particularly bad flu season in prior years, others not so much, creating a large disparity in the size of vulnerable populations from one region to another. I haven't spent any time researching why Canada's numbers contrast the US but I know there are many variables that have to be considered when trying to understand it.
