Oh dear!

Jackxxx there is no point in retaliating against PF_new!

It's being discussed as we speak, so please let us mods do our job without inflaming the situation.

I do believe they all insult; some just disguise it better.

Yep...politicians are a breed unto themselves, although some are truly genuine.

If Trump wins then I hope he becomes the President you all hope he would be.

I have not made a choice, however, Trump has not provided a policy to make his ideas happen. Just saying Make America Great Again is not a plan. And Mexicans jumping the border is not our biggest problem.

He just doesn't have a plan. And he loves the Mexicans and the Chinese. He employs them to clean his hotels and make his ties.

I do not tolerate having illegal aliens in the country. However, if I had the need for cheap hand labor, I would employ them because THATS THE DYSFUNCTIONAL SYSTEM WE HAVE. If you don't use them, you can't compete. However, it doesn't mean it has to stay that way. we MUST change it.

I believe Trump record is enough to know the guy has every single capability to make plans, decisions and succeed. If you compare Trump to any politician, he is 100 times more qualified to be the commander in chief.

You know it's funny but you guys make some good points but the plan idea always bothered me. How is he, or she, going to do this or that. What point is there to make a plan months before you can even think of implementing it? Further, since we don't have a king here, your plan has to get approved by lots of folks that want to put in their 2 cents. Maybe having an idea of what you want done and waiting until you have the ability to actually try to get it done, well maybe that might just be better. The plan you said today was great well that might not be the plan that gets passed 6 months down the road is it?

There is actually net illegal emigration to Mexico from the US, meaning that for the last few years more illegals have been leaving the US to return to Mexico, not the other way around. That fact makes Trump's extraordinarily expensive wall idea not only a waste of money, but would actually hurt that emigration. There is currently a yearly net loss of illegal immigrants in this country, Trumps policies would actually hurt that. And we need to dispel the lie that illegal immigrants qualify for welfare, they do not, in fact they pay more into the system than they take out of it according to the most reputable studies we have available.

Trump's record is one of shady business dealings, abuse of the system ie bankruptcy laws, and failed businesses. I mean, giving the money he inherited had he plugged his money into a standard return mutual fund over the same time period he would currently be worth twice what he is.

Trump is a pathological liar with no political experience, no policy expertise, minimal foreign policy knowledge and limited world knowledge, none of that makes him qualified to be commander in chief, let alone more qualified. This is the man who did not know what the nuclear triad was. This is the man who wants South Korea and Japan to have nuclear weapons. This is the man who said nuking Europe wouldn't be taken of the table, neither would nuking the Middle East. This is the man who just this week talked about just printing money to welch on US debt crashing the US and world economy in the process. He is outright dangerous. I wouldn't let my future children behave in the manner he does. An authoritarian fascist with notable personality instabilities is not someone qualified to be commander in chief.

I often hear the words "idiot" and "stupid" thrown about, but in my experience people are "too busy." Busy working, raising kids, maintaining their homes cars and clothes (laundry). Jackxxx is clearly too busy spend years traveling to spend the months necessary to truly know what it is like in norway or england or bangladesh or south africa. I am too busy for that or to read the "policy" proposals of all the candidates and the various analyses of what those policies might actually do. All of us are operating without enough info.

Layer onto that a deluge of political advertisements. I choose that word specifically: 30sec clips designed to hit emotional notes and then be repeated so many times that it overcomes your sense of hearsay vs. proven fact. These ads are not designed to inform us, but to persuade us without using any reason or fact!!! As humans we are all susceptible to these tactics.

As others have said here, congress will have the final say on any law proposals from whoever we elect, but the President has his finger on the f---ing nuclear weapon button. The president is the face that every person on the planet will look at and use as a placeholder whenever they think of "americans." So I say choose the person who is sane and can do good PR.... Lets get started on a cloning program to bring back a chimera of George Washington and Ronald Reagan! :)

In the meantime, I hear that two movements in recent history have had success, but it took each 30years. The gun lobby and the LBGT lobby. Their strategy was to organize locally. First change the laws of a city, then a county, then a state, then half a coast line, and finally try affecting national laws. I sincerely hope that we all start putting our energy into local efforts.

Thanks for whoever mentioned this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Anti-Corruption_Act I agree that this looks like the best way to fix our biggest problem: congress.

But they're illegal. Period. You can talk all you want about how beautiful angels they are who came here to do what Americans don't want to do, but they're illegal. They're criminals. They broke the law. If 12 million of us rob a bank, doesn't make it a right thing to do. We are criminals any ways.

The yearly illegal alien loss you talk about, AMEN!! I wish we lose them until the headcount is zero!! Thats the whole point! Saying that a wall will hurt illegals leaving the country is ridiculous!! If the wall is an obstacle for them to leave, no problem!! we help them leave!! HELL I would even volunteer to give them free rides from any American town they are at and drop them on the other side.

If we are indeed seeing a voluntary reduction in illegal aliens, that is a short term trend. Migrations work that way. But in 10 years after President Trump has restored the country from the catastrophic debacle caused by obama and all these marxists, illegal migration into this country might increase. The wall is not intended to fix a problem we have now, is intended to fix the problem FOREVER. And we should install patriot system on top of the wall with laser technology that can automatically track humans crawling up the wall and dissolve them instantly.

Yes, they are here illegally, in the nation founded by immigrants. Trump's wall and boarder policy would indeed disrupt that emigration. The problem is the "Wall" is not a viable strategy for handling the illegal immigrants that are here, it does not send them back. Can you name a single viable and fiscally responsible strategy for removing the illegal immigrants in this country that is cost effective, viable, and won't crash agricultural and construction markets? Also, Mexico isn't going to pay for it. Trump's proposal for withholding funds is tantamount to theft and utterly distasteful.

" catastrophic debacle caused by obama and all these marxists" Can you please list what these are?

Unemployment is down from 8-10% to ~5%. The yearly Deficit has been cut by 2/3rds. We've had continually monthly job growth. The stock market has recovered. The housing market has mostly recovered. Gas is ~$2/g. We didn't start two costly wars... the Iraq War has already cost us $2.2Trillion and will ultimately cost us $6T after interest on the debt and all we got was a powervacuum and ISIS and a near nuclear Iran(which has been avoided). By every objective measure we have the economy has improved from the devastation the last Republican in office wrought. Can you please tell me how Obama has destroyed this country? I mean, I'm not an Obama fan as he is a corporate democrat and I am not a democrat, but credit is due where credit is due.

Automated weapons on the wall? Interesting. The basic wall will cost ~$32 Billion, Trumps and your version will cost multiple times that. Where is the money going to come from? Isn't going to be Mexico. And ask hourself, what could we have done that would have been more productive with that money? Lots. Just like the $2 Trillion we wasted in Irac could have given our country 30 years of public universities being Tuition free.
