Hi Pegasus thanks for getting back to me,
Yes it was a medical diagnosis, I spent the first year going from specialist to specialist.
We are very lucky in the UK to have great surgeons and Dr's on the NHS who treat us for free, although the delay can be significant.
They did a full hormone panel. I have 780ng/dl, which is actually quite good. The rest of the bloods were normal too, which is just a crucial. So that ruled that out.
I had a doppler which indicated significant leak, they followed up with
virtual cavernoscopy
(which they are relying on more now for its greater accuracy, dopplers are not that good at detecting venous leak according to the surgeons (tendency towards false negatives), it's a fascinating tool, very interesting technique).
With this they found severe venous leakage. They followed with MRI's and CT scans and identified scarring. The urologist (a specialist in complex penile surgery) who initially examined me said he could feel it and had experienced this before with 'jelqers', to his credit he was right.
The abnormal pressure of jelqing causes internal scarring reducing the elasticity of the tissue to the degree that it can't crimp off the veins, hence leakage. A similar mechanistic deficit can arise in peyronies. That tends to manifest in a different pattern though (in localised clumps), where I had it was typical of where it occurs with 'these reckless exercises' according to the surgeon. I was a bit relieved that he had experience of this, that I wasn't the only one.
So options were, VED or implant. I'm young so the hell with that, I was determined to overcome, and so I have, even though it's not ideal.
It was the worst thing I've gone through, I didn't know suffering until this, even talking about it is hard, but, I think, therapeutic.
I appreciate your input, but as said, I would like to focus on helping men here and coming up with solutions. Cock rings are not ideal, especially the time limit, but I can fuck with them and the have honestly saved my life.
