I find it interesting that this war has gone on for 3 1/2 years and up til just recently there was no talk of peace; none! I can't figure out the mindset of anyone that wants killing to continue. I don't care what moral high ground you think you own and you own it because you, your family, your friends, your homes are not affected. Amazing

During World War II, there were several peace overtures and diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict or reaching a settlement, though most were unsuccessful due to the uncompromising positions of the major belligerents . Seems Ukraine and Russia are experiencing a similar situation.

Yes they had a port on the Black Sea in Crimea which was supposed to allow Russians free access when Ukraine left the Soviet Union. Then things started to happen to prevent that access like a bride needed constuction, a road closed etc. so they finally got pissed and took it
