Cusp is right. Protest votes do nothing except split the voting away from the mainstream candidates.
For example Ross Perot syphoning off 10% of the GOP vote and resulting in 8 years of Clinton.

Ross Perot was leading in the polls at one point until his daughter's life was threatened is he didn't drop out, so he dropped out (only to re-enter later) and his share of the vote dropped. But that means nothing. My vote isn't a protest vote, it is a vote for the best candidate in the race (BY FAR), and I would never endorse a candidate (which is what your vote is) who was as bad as either of these idiots. You will never find me buying in to this false dichotomy like many of you, and until everyone realizes that doing the same things over and over again will not lead to improvement there will be no hope and instead things will just get worse and worse. So keep on voting for these tyrants (there really is no better word that describes their political ideology) and don't blame me when the last few parts of our freedom and our once great country are completely lost.

You had to click on the political thread and read political posts, no one made you do that. You can go somewhere else... like the thousands of other threads in this forum. Really not sure how you let people bother you who you can choose to not notice or read or pay attention to.

I'll vote for Romney! Obama will be more dangerous in a second term when he will decree whatever he wants.

Oh and nice job addressing none of my points.

Why should I address YOUR points when you didn't address MY directions? This was supposed to be a simple come and vote and don't leave a comment thread. You just couldn't do it could you; you had to make it political when it wasn't designed that way. A simple vote for one or the other. I know it's just too hard or complicated!

O_O omg the polls are even! That is pretty funny, gotta admit.

Anyway, I'm Canadian, so I'll vote for this guy: Justin Trudeau - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think everyone needs to calm down and remember that regardless of who wins, you will still be able to purchase your goddamn beefaroni. Its an opinion and a vote (and every citizen has a right to this), not a political civil war.

CUSPs goal was to NOT have an argument. Clearly, that was not respected. The postings have already hit page 10, so either behave or don't post. Choose one.

It sure would be fun to comment but I'll respect Cusp's instructions.
Politics and Religion at a cocktail party=WW3. Both sides are passionate and believe they are right and the other side is a raving lunatic.

Well it would be nice to get a few more votes but this poll does seem to coinccide with the national ones. I thought we were more unique.

Reunited with his dear wife Holly.
Could be worse. If we had more women on here I think the vote would tend to more support Obama.
For some reason he seems to be able to sway women with his charm. Arrrrgh!

They're both douchebags.

I'm surprised at how even this poll is. No "Other" option?

I'd really like to question people on why they'd vote for a certain candidate but that wouldn't go anywhere.

What is the difference between a republican and a democrat? I know a democrat but we don't have republicans in Belgium. What are their views on the economy?

I hear Romney is doing fairly well at the moment? Why is that? I read an article sometimes in a business newspaper here but I still don't know what a republican is or what their point of views are.
