I purchased the BIB hanger about 5 months ago and after struggling with it for about 3 months I decided to explore other options of hanging. The problem I had with the BIB hanger is that due to the limited and uneven contact between the shaft and the BIB, there is a large amount of force distributed on a small surface area of the penis. As a result, after a 3x20 minute hanging session with weights ranging from 5-9lbs, I had considerable amount of puffiness on my shaft to the point that I was not able to get an erection at the end of the hang and finish off the session with manual PE. It sometimes took up to 1 day to heal from this damage.
This led to me researching and making the decision to buy the LG hanger. The difference between the two is vast. I was quickly able to move up in weight and hang using up to 11.5 lb weights and honestly I barely felt any discomfort. When I actually think about it, the reason for the large difference in discomfort between the BIB and LG hanger is quite obvious. The LG hanger through vacuum pull, applies a perpendicular and homogeneous force on the total surface area between the penis and the LG hanger sleeve + glans plastic dome. This surface area is probably triple or more the surface area of the penis in contact with the BIB hanger. As a result, the same hanging weight will apply a much smaller normal force per square inch, on the penis, for the LG vs the BIB. Sorry if I got too technical here but it's just me putting on my physics degree thinking cap and getting a little excited.
However, to be fair, I want to add the bad to the good and I have to say that hanging with 10lbs or over with the LG hanger has induced some small blisters on my glans as a result of the hang. In a total of about 25 hanging sessions, I have induced these blisters 3 times. Every time I get such a blister I need to take close to 1 week off break from hanging. And yes I have followed directions and have wrapped myself properly with blue tender tape. I'm now experimenting with ways of protecting my glans from the vacuum force to try to further minimize these blisters.
