I think what Comer is actually looking for is what service was provided for the staggering amount of money given. It is not illegal to go into business with someone and make money but you should be able to show what you did to deserve that money, especially if your dad is the vice president. If it turns out that Hunter actually did no real work then the Chinese gave him money for influence. Is it illegal to give money to peddle influence? No but it might be unethical.
Now here we are only talking abut Chinese money. There was a lot of money going the Biden families way from Ukraine, Russia and even Saudi Arabia. We're talking tens of millions of dollars and what service did they provide? Were they selling influence to Joe? Even the Obama people were concerned about that.If it's proven that he knew about it and did nothing about it he's gone. When a reporter asked him about the money Friday he quickly shot back ;"that's a lie". They way he snapped it looked like the question hit a nerve. Somehow when you're whole immediate family is making millions you had to know something. Burying your head in the sand is not a defense.

Nobody is disputing that there were some people who did stupid things, that they should have been arrested for. Let's be serious though, this was NOT an insurrection that threatened democracy, no matter how many loons like Joe Screwbooger want to portray it as. There were no weapons, no deaths other than Ashley Babbit (killed by a capitol police goon who has a record of acting like Barney Fife with a bullet).

Can you tell me how many people were arrested at the protests at the homes of conservative members of the Supreme Court? It's a federal crime to try and influence/intimidate federal judges. How many abortion activists have been arrested for desecrating churches and other acts of violence? How many FBI raids have there been on liberals homes like they did to Roger Stone. Oh was was dangerous wasn't he?

Now according to the Washington Post the DOJ will be arresting 700-1000 protestors or as you call them insurrectionists in the next few weeks. This large number of people have been sitting home for the last 2 years plotting domestic terror threats and before hey strike we got to get them.
