Garland did not say five cops died on Jan 6. He said cops were injured and 5 cops died as a result of the attack.
NOT one cop died as a result of Jan 6th. Officer Brian Sicknick died of a stroke at the base of the brain stem caused by a blood clot, according to Chief Medical Examiner Francisco Diaz. Four officers who responded to the Capitol riot have died by suicide!

I believe it was the retard we call Biden that said 5 officers died in the attack.

I dont know what Garland said. He's a cuck that isn't worth the time. I don't listen to what he says

Federal prosecutors reported today that the video Carlson showed aired footage only from a four-minute period toward the end of Chansley’s hourlong trip through the Capitol, omitting the most incriminating aspects of his conduct. “Prior to that time, Chansley had, amongst other acts, breached a police line at 2:09 p.m. with the mob, and faced off with members of the U.S. Capitol Police for more than thirty minutes in front of the Senate Chamber doors while elected officials, including the Vice President of the United States, were fleeing from the chamber,” He carried a flag pole topped with a pointed finial which was considered a lethal weapon.
We should see the evidence uncut. Seems liberals are against this

Hey while you're here since the economy is doing so well have any banks gone under today or is bank failure transitory? I know Trump did it.
yesterday it was reported that inflation in Fep was down to 61% and CPI was down to .04%.

You may recall after the bank crisis in 2008, Obama and the Dems passed the Dodd-Frank Bill which created a new oversight council to evaluate systemic risk for banks with assets in excess of $50 billion. Subsequently, so called regional banks, including SVB, spent millions of dollars in lobbying fees to change the law to increase the lower limit which would allow the banks to generate higher profits by making riskier loans and invest es paying higher returns.

in 2018, the lobbying paid off and Trump and the Republicans amended the bill to increase the limit on banks subject to the risk evaluation to banks having assets in excess of $250 billion. This allowed SVB to make riskier loans and investments and you can see the results. Thankfully, the Biden administration decided not to bail out the the shareholders as was done in 2008/2009.

Can you tell me how you know that? Come on be honest. You will not find one republican that doesn't want them all released. If you're referring to any tv show well there's limited time and tv guys put om what they want to put on. It is wrong to say all republicans if you're only talking about one or 2 tv people.
Now do we know that democrats don't want them released? Sure we do. The Jan 6 people cherry picked exactly what they wanted and hid the rest. In fact for some of those convicted of crimes that day lawyers are now appealing because these videos could have helped during the trials and it is considered withholding exculpatory evidence which is illegal. Democrats also have voiced their objections to the full release in Congressional testimony. So would you like to amend your statement to make it accurate?

When prosecutors/ committees are trying to make a case against someone committing violence, why would they show videos of that person sightseeing? If someone is being charged with burglary and there is a video of him robbing a bank, why would the prosecutor show a video of him quietly walking down the street? It makes no logical sense. Same situation prevails with the Jan 6 Committee.

Now you tell me where Democrats do not pro actively want the full videos released. So far the Republicans seem to want the videos only released to a biased tv entertainer.

In a Court of Law, it's called DISCOVERY! Look it Up.
I had a District Attorney refuse to give ME their Discovery and the Judge threatened to hold the DA in Contempt of Court!
The District Attorney had a change of heart when the Judge threatened them with a DAY in Jail and a $1000 fine.

So far the Democrats seem to want the videos only released to biased tv entertainers on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN & MSNBC!

I believe most Democrats would like all the videos released to all outlets not just one right leaning outlet and specifically only to one entertainer, Which route the Republicans have chosen.

The Jan 6 Committee was a special Congretional investigative committee organized to look into possible violations and make recommendations to the DOJ. It’s the DOJ which has to abide by the discovery rule if it decides to prosecute based on the findings of the committee.

In reality, the videos held by the government will probably not be released to anyone without a court order until all the trials are completed.

The violent protestors are being prosecuted, not the peaceful protestors. Why would videos of peaceful protestors absolve the violent protestors?

View attachment 3261604
These are the people being prosecuted
Of course there were some knuckleheads that should have been arrested and prosecuted. However video has come to light that shows the vast majority of people wandered in as Capitol police held doors open..... Should we not believe our lying eyes?
Even the so called Qanon Shamon dressed up with face paint and Viking horned hat was escorted around by Capitol police with no incident of violence of vandalism or any threats, and he gets 4 years in prison! Yet BLM & ANTIFA goons can literally destroy cities and actually injure several people (including law enforcement - over 100 officers) and they don't even get a slap on the wrist.

We definitely have a two tiered justice system and the Biden administration has weaponized the DOJ & FBI.

Chansley’s signed plea agreement, an officer’s firsthand account of the events, and an internal memo from Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger all contradict Carlson’s claim that Capitol Police acted as Chansley’s Capitol "tour guides" Jan. 6.

The seven-page agreement stated that "if this case were to go to trial, the government would prove the following facts beyond a reasonable doubt," and then listed the following details:
  • Chansley entered the Capitol through a door other rioters had broken open. He was among the first 30 rioters inside the building.
  • Chansley and other rioters went to the second floor of the Senate side of the building and "were met by a line of U.S. Capitol Police officers, instructing them to peacefully leave the building." Chansley challenged U.S. Capitol Police Officer Keith Robishaw "to let them pass." Chansley ultimately used "his bullhorn to rile up the crowd and demand that lawmakers be brought out."
  • Chansley went to the third floor, entered the Senate Gallery and "proceeded to scream obscenities in the Gallery," as other rioters entered the Senate chamber below.
  • Chansley next tried to gain entry to the Senate floor and again encountered Robishaw, "who once again asked him to leave the building." Chansley said others were on the Senate floor and he was going to join them; the officer followed him.
  • Chansley climbed the Senate dais and sat in then-Vice President Mike Pence’s seat, taking pictures of himself. Despite repeated requests from Robishaw, Chansley refused to vacate the seat. "Mike Pence is a f- - -ing traitor," he said.
  • Just after 3 p.m., "other law enforcement officers arrived to support (Robishaw) and cleared the defendant and other rioters from the chamber.

All based on what he and his lawyer were allowed to see. Now that the video has come out a new attorney is re-opening the case and will be appealing it based on withholding of evidence.

The Jan 6th Commitee produced and directed by a well-known TV Producer?
Jan 6th was a MADE-for-TV event by the Democrats!

Speaker Nancy Pussie would not allow Pitbulls like Jim Jordan on the Committee. WHY?

"In reality, the videos held by the government will probably not be released to anyone without a court order until all the trials are completed." Withholding exculpatory evidence? In Violation of U.S. Law?

The Brady rule

Withholding potentially exculpatory evidence violates a key legal principle. Such conduct is a violation of what is known as the Brady rule, which requires prosecutors to turn over any evidence that could help exonerate a criminal defendant.

Not2big...I wouldn't say it was Tucker s claim that he was escorted around the building...We all now saw it on tape...I hate when this game is played where each tribe has their own facts....Two things can be true at once....
1. The events of J6 were a bad look for our country and some folks were worked into a frenzy and stormed the capital...

2. Some folks attended a protest because they were not confident in the results of the election...Were literally led into the building (why?) only to be persecuted later..

The thing you lefties don't get is that we are not denying that some bad stuff happened...However, we are calling bullshit on this politically drummed up idea that this country was under real threat of losing its democracy (Democratic Republic for those who actually know anything) from a guy with horns and some other disorganized folks...that is total horse sh*t and all of your cult leaders know it...If the proper security was in place to start this never happens...Also, why is this Ray Epps guy not being charged? I notice you lefties are only about seeking "your truth" and not the full truth...We should know the full story...

The full story is not important to them. Do you really think that Pelosi actually thought that these people were going to take over the government or actually prevent the certification of the president? No way! This is simply a way to maintain power and to prevent Trump from even having a chance to run again.
What makes me wonder is why there is such a fear of Trump? They wanted him gone from the beginning and the extent they try to ruin him is not just hate; they are afraid. What is it they're so afraid of Trump knowing or even finding out? That is concerning.

Sounds like a misdemeanor trespassing.....
Worthy of a 4 year prison sentence?
CUSP is correct - his lawyer wasn't allowed to see any video prior to his sentencing.

Once again, the Jan 6 Committee was not prosecuting anyone. It was investigating potential crimes. The Brady Rule only involves prosecution of defendants in court cases. There were no defendants at the Committee meetings. You will need to hold off your objection if/until a case is initiated by the DOJ..

@Alwasbbetter

I am not denying that the “shamon“ was videoed being peacefully escorted by the police for at least four minutes during his unauthorized intrusion into the Capitol. What I am saying is that the clip of the videos does not negate the claims by the Capitol Police I summarized above and which Chansley pleaded guilty to.

The rioters were under the impression that they could interrupt the certification procedure and have the electoral decision reverted back to the state legislatures where Trump would have the vote advantage. Trump just recently stated that if Pence had returned the electoral votes back to the states, Jan 6 would never have happened.

If some protestors were under the impression the vote count was not proper, it was because of the big lie.

With democrats it's always about a story, not the story.
Worst insurrection attempt I've ever seen in my life! Those 1000 Venezuelans that bum rushed the El Paso border crossing this past Sunday posed more of a threat to National security than all the un-armed grannies taking selfies of themselves while walking around the Capitol Building after being welcomed in by Capitol police.

No you're wrong on that and very much wrong. Many people, democrats included, have questions about the tally. As people saw voting regulations changed many became concerned and questioned and it had nothing to do with Trump.
The state of Georgia made some changes in their voting requirements that passed the elected legislature 2 years ago to prevent things from happening in the future. It was YOU who pointed out to me a while back how bad this law was;it wouldn't allow drop boxes. Drop boxes were never allowed in Ga ever; the exception was 2020 and even Jimmy Carter said drop boxes were fraud magnets.
So let's see; 2020 drop boxes Biden wins. 2016 no drop boxes Trump wins. You're right; nothing to see here;if you're blind.
