I would think that it is, considering it's one of the only places where people deal with these kind of injuries. Like I've said a few times doctors have never heard of it and/or don't know how to treat it. My urologist told me exactly this and it's taking me 2 months to get another one. My GP doesn't know either, what do you expect me to do?

If your doctor has prescribed a course of action, stick with it and refrain from asking non-medical persons for alternative advice.

You're continuing to ask for medical advice on this forum. You've been told by numerous members and staff regarding these actions. Please heed this advice and govern yourself accordingly.

Sorry if you misunderstood me, there is no course of action, he literally told me he doesn't know. You can't blame me for trying to educate myself, I'm in this on my own.

In your particular case, seeking out a specialist may very well be necessary.

It doesn't appear with your density of repetitive posting/bumping on this and other forums that you're doing yourself or others any good- on the contrary. For your own good, please take the advice above not as admonishment but as a way to deal with your particular case in a productive manner.

I'm recovering now, diet had a big part to play in recovery. While I was erect jelquing I was 5 inches rather than at 4 inches regularly. So I went on a lengthy too much looking of porn with my big 5 inches (jelquing didn't precisely injure it) but too much vigorous masturbation, I was even thinking of stopping to be sensible, but no I had a addiction. I felt the perforations (holes from the shaft tear) and I immediately lost my erection. So the death grip was moreso to blame than pe. What I did was head to er, I was just 22 but my penis wouldn't become fully errect, it was swollen, in pain and I did have a good uro look at it (bard) but his methods of healing it were too hard for my young mind. I was too sexually active to stop bating for weeks on end. Life got in the way, mandated and responsibilities of having to be or do places/things. So I went back to tell him things weren't so peachy and that lead to me deciding, you know what this is permanent, gotta adjust: so I took a 9 to 5 at the hotel so I could work as my therapy. It was a balancing act. With chicks throwing themselves at me, I kept my dick in my pants. The most I could muster was a limp boner where it was wobbly at the base making it point down a little. I even thought the suspensatory ligament was detached. It's what you call poor eq. So I walked a fine line between crazy and workaholic but I assure you I was doing the right thing: no interoffice relationships so no getting into real trouble. Anyway I think these symptoms here are not typical because they are in fact these: my flaccid penis would constantly move from side to side. This I should have showed the docs! I spent a lot of time in my bed trying to heal it as quick as I could, while my ex was getting busy at the club's hanging out with my cousin. I was trying to reconcile with her so I kept brushing off my cousin, the match maker, and stayed at home instead. But unfortunately for me, I couldn't deal with the lacerations in the tunica so I got professional help for my anxiety, depression, etc. I would suggest cleaning up one's diet and keeping a daily log to keep up with it. Nutrition and exercise as well as good sleep are essential to what my uncle would call a "saddle injury." I already feel bad for you bro, about your insomnia, that's gotta suck. But my brother, he challenged me to this, "your dick is gonna be there no matter if you sit, walk, or stand. It's what you do during the meantime what counts." Alluding to healthy behaviours you can create for yourself. I mentioned diet exercise sleep were pivotal. Some things are a no brainer, like riding a bike when you're injured, go on an elliptical instead. I hope you get your erections back. What is your diet like? Do you get adequate rest? Do you minimize stress?

"I do get morning woods again since a few days, but no spontaneous erections without stimulation."

In your case, this is a good sign! If you had serious damage you likely wouldn't be getting morning wood.

It can be emotionally difficult to deal with penis-related problems, but the stress you're putting yourself is only compounding to your issue. The penis doesn't function well under stress, and the added increase in cortisol over worrying and the knocking out of your dopamine receptors will further complicate things.

You'd do well to attempt to rest your mind from any penis related thoughts for awhile and allow any associated tensions which could be contributing to the problem (e.g.- tense PF).

I think big Al is right. The more boners in the morning the better off it is. And as far as r and r go: just unplug (electronically, try to relax, read some books, whatever) because certainly the doc would probably tell you how much time to take off. So just don't touch it or think about it for a while. It's like the joke from the Goodfellas movie: "a man walks into a DRS office and the doctor says, I'll give you two months to live, that will be 500$. The guy says, I only have a hundred dollars. The doctor says I'll give you three more months to live."

Thank you so much for sharing all this. Is your EQ back and can you get good erections now?

Luckily I was already living a healthy life (other than working and studying sedentary), so little change is needed there. I work out a lot and eat healthy, lots of fibers, protein, fruits veggies etc, since the injury I've kept this up. Although I'm uncertain what to do with the working out part now, as I hear weight lifting is bad for the PF, but on the other hand I want to stay fit/healthy and boost my testosterone. Don't know what to do there..

I also write down every day how I'm feeling and what changes I developed, to track my progress.
Additionally I'm walking an hour every day now and doing PF stretches, weighted hip thrusts and core workouts to strengthen the surrounding muscles.

My sleep is getting better, I rarely wake up at 2 or 3am now, it has shifted to 5-6am. Then I try to sleep again for a few hours (sometimes failing to). I don't have any stress other than from the injury. I'm finishing up my study and I've been working less (I make my own hours) so I can dedicate more time to my recovery and live less sedentary.

I did get my erections back. But I think I've mentioned earlier they don't feel quite right. They feel loose at the base, I can move my erection side to side and the sensation in the shaft is off, when flaccid it's really flexible and feels weightless. It also feels a bit sore at the shaft. Some days I don't get full morning woods. On Cialis however I did have full erections of my normal length and they felt good (still wobbly though), but I don't know if that means anything. I've also been suffering from constipation since the injury, it's pretty bad now and it worries me.

I deal with it day by day. I still get pain from the scar tissue but it's probably only a 1 out of 5 on the scale. Some mornings I wake up with full boners some days only half chubby, but they feel better than my erections for some time now. If I was to take Cialis I would be penetrating the blanket lol. It sounds like you're on the road to recovery dude. But it sounds like you're missing just one piece? I wouldn't say it's mental because that would be an insult. But I guess... With age and experience, it doesn't stand up as big or as firm for me as it did when I was in my teens and twenty something's, but I still have to be thankful to still have it. Once I get my confidence back I will use it again. And that part can lead to performance anxiety. But I have to make the best if it because it's about my pleasure and hopefully the pleasure of a companion because it is not always about the size of the worm but how you wiggle it.

It's just like every other injury, I gotta rehab it in segments and add more resistance as I go. I'm keeping an even keel because I only know the severity of the illness. From bad times to good. I wonder about shockwave, it gets many positive reviews. Glad to hear you're doing better. It's good to see you're making progress!

You're dealing with it well, I'm glad you're improving. As for that piece missing being mental, what makes you think that? Severe constipation and numbness in the shaft makes me think there's actually a piece of nerve missing haha
I've heard good things about shockwave as well, can't hurt to give it a try I guess!

His more positive attitude is likely a factor in his improvement.

Emotional stress can contribute greatly to pelvic floor issues. This includes the BC muscles- which girdle the base of the penis. We can even cite studies, but enough of us have told you this already.

At this point of inflection, you can heed the advice given or not. The alternative is to continue to stress, catastrophize and go in circles as you have been. Some waste years of their life doing this.

Constipation and numbness is due to tension. Keep visiting the PF specialist.

An inch and 1/2 deeper than before
Oxycodone can cause constipation, a sh*t diet can cause constipation, many things can cause that.

Don't base your diagnosis on your turds, you may have crappy results.
