Look this is not neurobiology; it really is quite easy Go to the doctor, let him take a culture to find out what fungus it is, and then take the medicine. Garlic will only alleviate the symptoms allowing the disease to go untreated. Fungal infections are easily treated in 7-10 days if you're taking the correct medicine and if you are taking it correctly!

Wow.. this is the worst story I've read on the forum, even worse than "suicide threads" that I've seen a few of.

Hopefully you will get better one day.. Better get it done as fast as possible.

I mean hardly any sleep, all the pain, all the distractions, can hardly walk outside your house, can't be with friends, can't sit in classes...

This is worse than being a 20years old virgin with no real life friends (me)

Thrush? That's really easy to treat.

You can treat it orally or with a topical cream, neither of which need a prescription.

Sorry my friend but it is not easily treated.

clearly you have not been reading

@cusp-I will be doing that at the end of this week if this current treatment doesn't work.
In the meantime, I am NOT going to stop taking garlic. IDK why this is an issue. Like you said it helps, it alleviates the symptoms.
I'm not going to put myself through even more torture for no reason. Until this is gone, I'm taking garlic. Period. End of story.

Hey, WG. I think maybe (Cusp correct me if I'm wrong) Cusp is just saying don't think that will EVER end it. Eat as much garlic as you want, in the mean time take other more aggressive action. WG, we want to help our friend.

Wantgirths, Anonymity touched on your problem...sugar is the main culprit, but your overall problem is that your body's PH is too acidic and you must make it more alkaline.....Organic Apple Cider Vinegar both topically and orally along with avoiding most sugars and alcohol will balance your PH and ruin the environment for fungus...keep with the garlic and follow an anti candida diet. I would also rotate treatments so the fungus can not adapt...2 weeks using Nizoral...2 weeks using Tea Tree oil...2 weeks using ACV... don't give up or give in!

Also, avoid all fluoride water!! Spring water only.

Maybe I've been lucky, but I've self diagnosed, self medicated, and gotten rid of a fungal infection twice in the last 3 years.
What are you holdin out? do share man, that's the point.

the flouride water is new to me. any explanation behind that?

As I've stated several times now I will be seeing a specialist at the end of the week if this isn't cleared up.
I do have an aversion to doctors though as my experience with them is that they are generally retarded, useless and a waste of money.
Like the first doctor who I saw for this who I had to tell him to prescribe me an oral antifungal and a stronger topical one, and he insisted that yeast infections can't be treated internally and they didn't work that way.I am not claiming to be a medical genius, far from it, but the vast majority of my experiences with doctors I have known a great deal more about whatever issue I am seeing them for than they have.
Doctors are a bunch of overpaid sh*t heads.

Went to the pharmacy, asked for a vaginal yeast infection cream (specifically candida), applied it twice daily for 2 weeks, and had sex with a condom during this period. That's it.

I caught it early both times though, wantgirths has obviously left it for too long (I barely skimmed the OP before initially replying) and will probably require prescription medication administered by a medical practitioner. Think he should go to a GP.

the reason it has gone on for so long is because it would come and go. I would get it, then it would clear up and I would think it was going away or gone.
I also didn't know what it was at first. I have never had a yeast infection before.

Must have been my absence that sparked it, absence makes the heart grow fonder :p

Anyway, yeast infections!

OP, have you considered a Paleo diet?

Well it's one of those overpaid shitheads that will cure you because it doesn't seem like you're doing to good on your own! Go to one, just don't tell him he's an overpaid shithead; they get a bit prickly about that !
