There are many people who after taking prozac just one time report long term ED... so ya, I wouldn't take my chances.

It's really not fair to say: some people who try alternative medicine die because they don't stick to the normal medicine. How many die on mainstream treatment? It's not a logical argument

It's also not a logical comparison. Science based medicine is constantly improving. Alternative medicine jut stays the same and will hear no more about it.

Guys, I suggest that you leave this discussion as it is as none of you will be convinced by the others. You'll end up fighting harder and harder and that's just not worth it!
Gogulik, you made your point and now you should let people decide whether they want to believe what you said or not. Keep in mind that when you cite studies, it's always better to provide a link: it adds more credibility... You must also consider the other side of the story: yes there might be studies that showed that antidepressants didn't improve the quality of life of patients compared to placebo, but keep in mind that there are a lot more studies that showed that they do. It's often a matter of drugs, therapeutic class, severity of the underlying illness, etc...

I'm not sure why this is in the ED section but otherwise why so quick to end Gogulik's thread? Move it to "the gym" and let him continue his discussion with whoever chooses to entertain his increasingly implausible claims.

Discussion? What discussion? He thinks he's holding the key to all the solutions of life. Maybe instead of browsing the web for all this nonsense, he should go outside sometimes, take a walk, take some fresh air. It's easy to get carried away with all this stuff on the net. Cults and wackos always existed, and the truth is that they never really changed the world. The people who are looking for new anti-biotics right now, these guys are changing the world. They will be the ones who save us from certain death in the future. Not these occultists who claim that the mind can cure anything, and reality is what you believe it is. Maybe put the joint down, and get some coffee instead. Life isn't a Walt Disney story.

Well let's just cut out with the "cults" and "wackos". It's interesting but words like that become imflamatory!

No he didn't ask for a debate, he asked to make it a sticky, with links to a site that sells those books. All the links he posted here go into the direction of people who sell books and dvd's on their websites. Most of the people who buy these kind books are in a vulnerable state, and are desperate to try anything. Don't you think they deserve some protection against these kind of scams?

Glad to see you are back Johnny, bringing with you an open mind as per usual. I do agree with your post here though, it wouldn't be good to have the thread stickied with links to websites that sell books. However, I'm not sure if you missed it, but one of the moderators did remove one of his links, and this thread is not stickied.

Don't turn this debate on me... you're setting up a straw man argument saying that I think these people should be defenseless to scamming.

He didn't even ask for it to be sticky from what I read. He mentioned that "maybe" it should be sticky.

The PEGym has ads for all kinds of enlargement devices. Are you telling me that it is justifiable to berate him for his beliefs just because there is a small profit motive? There is profit motivation in EVERYTHING, especially science.

If someone came up to you and told you that you were weak and in a vulnerable state to subscribe to beliefs that PE works how would you defend yourself? Most of the medical community still frowns upon jelqing. The only proof you have is empirical evidence. You accepted PE with a leap of faith, as most people do for other things.

You could turn around and argue that you have rational reasons behind PE. You will find that these reasons are no better than the reasons somebody would have for many other practices, ex. meditating. All they are doing is sitting in one spot and "emptying" their mind; where is the scientific evidence that it does anything?

The only links I gave were free. The EFT manual is free... I don't know what books you are talking about. As there are sites for penis enlargement such as Penis Health and Penis Advantage selling enlargement programs, you can find the programs for free on this website. It's the same case with what they are saying. There are hundreds of links and videos on youtube that say those things, but you can also buy books where they are saying the same things, just with more detail. Does selling something make it fake? I don't see the point of arguing they are selling things.

You can find them for free, if you want to pay to find out more in a hard copy etc, go ahead. Is penis enlargement fake because programs are sold? No. Those programs say what is said on this forum, just with more detail, diagrams, scientific language, etc.

I agree it is borderline ridiculous that people are arguing so vehemently in favor of science and the establishment, and yet here we are on a website that goes against many of the claims by that said establishment because we know it works.

Chill people. It's an interesting discussion, but let's not make it personal x

(how's my modding: call 1-800 spank)

sorry to edit, I'm saving post 1000! I just wanted to say I don't think anybody's arguing for science and the establishment... those are two different things

Maybe they are two different things Spanky, much the way God and Religion are. I don't like when people confuse a belief in a higher power with mainstream religion. But too often science and the establishment do come in the same package, or at least with the establishment tarnishing the reputation of science in an effort to provide "evidence" for its claims. I should clarify my point and say this - PE has never had a scholarly or scientific study conducted by "official" scientists who could substantiate a claim that penis exercises do enlarge the penis in a healthy, safe, and permanent manner. However, this does not deter our community from continuing along, and some do even in blind faith who haven't seen results.

Technically speaking, PE would be considered the "alternative" method, would it not - the criteria for alternative being defined as not accepted scientifically?

Has anyone mentioned what part prevention and behavior modification plays in healing or changing outcomes-or can we really change an outcome at all -permanently? Life has a way of catching up with us all-at any age,at any time.

Check-I would consider Pe an alternative to medicine. From my observations of the posts I have read-some believe-others don't. Variables-skin stretches-penises included. My thought is; after all the work and time practicing-what are you left with?

Ok ill try to explain my perspective again :p

Disease in the body or certain physical symptoms, even if from accidents, is a sort of like a message to us, somehow we created that issue. For example, a PE injury that never heals (hey, it should heal right? Why in some cases you have people who have been here for years without getting better?) is a message that something is not right in your thoughts/perceptions/consciousness.

Maybe you are afraid of sex on a subconscious level. Maybe you are afraid of relationships or being intimate. Maybe you dislike your penis because of it's size/shape/whatever. Maybe you feel worthless.

These things can appear in the body in the form of ED, premature ejaculation, weak erections, etc. We interpret a low testosterone level negatively, thinking 'o, i'll just get some testosterone boosting substances'. However, in a certain amount of time, the levels will drop back down because those substances were only a temporary fix, like a band aid. Your behavior and the way you conduct yourself is reflected in your body. That's why what you believe about yourself is reflected in your body. All these physical symptoms are merely symptoms. You can fix a symptom, but soon another will appear as long as you don't fix the root cause.

That is why spontaneous remissions happen and other 'miracles'. The root cause is healed.

Science is great! But trying to cure something like cancer by purely destroying the good and bad cells is not an intelligent solution in my opinion. More investigation should be done in the cases where cancer has disappeared to find out why

Edit: Again, i'm not trying to convert you. It's cool if you believe, cool if you don't believe. Just it ain't a good idea to make up your mind before you look deeper in to this (if you want of course)

Some people don't like this because how would it be to tell someone: hey, it's your own fault you have cancer. Many people don't want to have this responsibility.

Edit: Btw, try EFT for your porn desire, and just comment here how it works for you. You can youtube EFT pornography to understand why it helps or google, or don't, whatever you want

Cheers =)

Maybe you didn't see my point. The sites who sell their oh so precious information, are only in it for your money. They use these kind of big statements to lure people into buying their stuff. Internet marketing. Just by looking at the lay-out you can tell the site is looking for your $$$ or not. And one of the tricks is to offer some free material. But I bet they mention the other (paid) programs in the free material. And I'm not even talking about the quality of the material. You'll find a millions of these sites about anything going from New Age hippy stuff with so called meta-science, NLP, relaxation, anxiety treatment, self-confidence, dating stuff, losing fat, quit smoking, quit drinking, hypnosis, etc etc etc... Millions of sites and programs you can buy.

The truth is, information that's sold this way, is made to be sold, and has to leave the reader hungry for more. And that has nothing to do with science. Science is about facts, not about marketing tricks.
