Those are certainly the most common manifestations of erectile dysfunction that have been attributed to PE.

To that might be added significant, and often permanent, skin darkening or discoloration (not usually associated with ED), and venous thrombosis (again not typically associated with ED or other long-lasting adverse effect).

There have also been sporadic reports of what has been felt to be lymphangiosclerosis, and at least a couple of people have felt that PE caused injury and weakening of the tunica toward the base of one, or both corpora cavernosa.

Well let's not go and call urologist incompetant. If you ever find yourself with the inabality to pee you've just gonna love your urologist at that point. Why don't these experts know whats wrong if you injure yourself in pe? Well let's remember than injuring yourself is something you did that was stupid; almost as incompetant as urologists. If you practice pe carefully and safely you really shouldn't get injured. Okay let's say you've been pe'ing for three years and you go and injure yourself. This type of injury the doc is not familiar with.If you had a disease or suffered trauma due to a accident or sports injury, well the man was trained to recognize such injury and treat it. The injuries that you may find in pe he hasn't been trained for because these injuries hardly ever show up in his office. You put a 10 pound wieght on your dick and pull everything you got holding it to your body, well that just doesn't come into the office everyday so he has no experience with it. And before he treats it he has to understand WHY it happened and it's hard for most guys to think of hanging a weight off your dick. Trust me urologist do a damn fine job in taking care of the things they're trained for. They're just not trained for this. Years ago if you injured your knee in sports the orthopedist would go in and rip out everything was loose and floating around in your knee. With the rise in knee injuries due to sports more study was done medically and better treatments became avialable. So if we want medicine to treat pe injuries better than we should all go out and injure ourselves and overwhelm their offices with pe injuries and then medicine will be forced to find better ways to treat such injuries. Kind of silly huh?
As for long term, let's kind of put this to rest. No one knows. No studies have been done and no research institution is going to spend valuable reseach money to fund a study of long term problems of a bunch of guys pulling their dicks. Let them cure cancer first. All that is known is heresay an innuendo. If you want to do it fine; you don't want to then that's fine too. Don't look for an answer when it doesn't exist and probably won't in our lifetime!

Gentlemen,
Thank you for a very enlightening conversation.
Not a lot of data is available but that does not mean that we cannot make reasonable decisions based upon what information is available to us.

I could care less about pain, soreness, and minor injuries and setbacks. That's nothing. That's part of the game. I'm a former certified personal trainer and athlete, and I know all about injuries but that doesnt stop me from going to the gym and training. But with the penis I've read just too many weird ass injuries that lead to life-altering issues with erections, and such, even from "mild" training. Not bowling balls. And these guys are not sidelined for a short weekend. I've read about complaints of ongoing problems for years in some of these men. When I first came to this forum... plain random reading of some of these stories has stopped me in dead in my tracks. So I'm just trying to get educated as much as possible, which I think everyone should do, so the casualties, can stop coming to this forum with the latest chronicles of injury and negative news. I appreciate your in-depth answers CUSP, Readbear, Diamondback, and Flex. It has really helped to see it from other aspects and point of views.

If the penis muscle is ... (or works) ... anything like normal muscle tissue in other body parts there should no worry of long term consequences, if it's warmed up and trained properly, with reasonable breaks from time to time...... just the same as you would a normal muscle for growth.

No you must care about pain, soreness, minor injuries and setbacks. This is not no pain no gain mentality. If done properly then you have none of the above and you will in time have a longer thicker penis. You must decide what is best for you; no one wants to try and convince you to do pe. I have been at this for three years, made great improvements, never injured, and I would attest to the routine being as a healthy thing to do when, as is always the case, it is done correctly!

I agree mrk7. I have read the same, and although it has not stopped me from engaging in PE, it has an impact on the way I do so. When I first started PE, I was only aware possible injury due to blatantly wrong practices, or minor and inconsequential injuries like red spots, donuts, turtle'ing, and the like. Only later did I become aware of some not so common, but not so pleasant possible consequences. I believe that an awareness of these possibilities up front would lead to safer PE practices. The penis may have smooth muscle, but it's amazingly complex vascular and neurological components exclude it from a direct comparison to regular muscular exercises.

Well red spots and turtleing should be the least of your worries. Turtleing is a naturally ocurring defense mechanism of the penis, like, when its cold. Red spots (the ones I think your referring too) are just popped capillaries which heal very quickly, this is usually a sign of too much pressure or prolonged pressure...much like when I squat I get "red spots" on my traps where the weight bar sits. I worry more about ligament and internal tissue damage but as long as you start the fight...light...you'll be ok my brotha. Happy PE'ing.

What I meant was I could deal with pain if I had too. I could not deal with the consequences. Thus, that's why I was looking to be thoroughly educated. I'm certainly not asking to be convinced of PE. This is the second time you've noted this towards me. I didn't ask to be convinced. I thought we were all just discussing our opinions on a worthy topic. With all due respect.... If I wasn't sold on it, I wouldn't be here. Did read the end of my posts? Or my other posts? Did you see that I gave you a compliment? LOL There's no need to "defend" PE. I think it's great! I'm on YOUR team. This is clearly the most thoughtful and educated group of men I've ever found in one single forum!

However, there's alot of injuries. It's not like one or two... here and there. Thats bad press that people dump right into this forum. Not everyone is as moronic to use a bowling ball. Not everyone is just a foolish caveman. The more people are specifically and accurately educated about what creates injuries or the possibility of what may create long-term consequences the better it is. It's a penis. Not your finger. Or an arm that you can put in a cast and magically heal 2 weeks later.

You havent been injured thats great. I'm glad for you. But what about the unlucky one's, and the millions of future injuries? I want to help them as much possible. I believe there is more room for advancement. I have a degree in nutrition science and former personal trainer. Believe me there is much to be explored about the repair of muscle tissue, inflammation, disolving scar tissue from injury, possible causes of what might predispose you to injury, etc that could be crucial answers for those tough to crack cases. For example: Firm flaccids are very common. But what about when simple heat doesn't work? There appears to be a number of people whom have firm flaccids that have once or currently have inflammation of the prostate. It might be a good for people with that condition to stay away from PE, until they get that condition corrected first thus preventing a possible long term consequence of PE.

Flex that's awesome. BG I get the exact same spots on my traps when squating and even on the hack. All is well with that. It goes away.

I have been compiling information for nearly 2 months and am slowly being swayed by the less is more argument. PESG's routine thread was fairly eye opening, I wish he was still on the forum. If you look, he got good gains, slowly over an extended period of time, but never got injured performing that type of PE. Jelqing, stretching, kegels, and edging is all he did. His stretching appeared to be at or under 30 seconds each direction and his jelqing was described as being done slowly with a very light grip (10 mins or less of jelqing). What I have noticed on threads where people got injured from mild PE, they state they used a "moderate" grip. I am not sure how that translates, but if I start jelqing my grip will be no harder than how I masturbate and probably even lighter.

Well what you search for is certainty and as such it doesn't exist in pe.It would be nice to point to a book or study but that's just not happening. The vast majority of what I have read on this and other forums tells me that if done correctly there tends not to be "issues". I have conversed with quite a few of the unlucky ones and the majority of those I spoke with either were guys who blantantly didn't follow the "rules' or guys who dicks were normal but they just over-reacted.There are many people who have a simple mole for years and then one day suddenly decide it's melannoma and they'll be dead in 10 minutes and to try to tell them that's nothing is very difficult. Same with pe. I am simply trying to help you not waste your time by searching for something that doesn't exist. I applaud your quest for the "right" answers and I do hope you find them.

I notice when I'm doing too much. For instance... I was doing far too much stretching. I cut it back DRASTICALLY and have already noticed improvement in EQ and flaccid hang.

Yes, BG started. Thanks for the comments. I wish I could train my penis with the intensity of my quads and get away with it! lol I've actually just started light like John spoke of. Pretty sore even from the manual stretches. So I'm just taking it light.

Also, NP what is "too" much stretching for you? And, when you say you notice it, do you mean just soreness? Thanks

Great point. The topic is facinating. Even without certainty. Thanks for your input.
