So, one of my good friends that I haven't spoken to in a while called me up. We were just trying to catch up. She said she's been going to a lot of "kink" places lately. She says there are lots of cute girls around, and I will be very, VERY popular.

In my experience, different parties can have very different crowds and vibes. If you go to one and don't like it, be open to trying it another night or another place entirely.

Indeed!!!!!! Aston is right on the money. Make sure to know the etiquette and if they are having any kind of fun night (such as valentine's and you need to dress in red or such). Never interrupt a scene unless you are invited and never talk to a collared sub unless you have talked to the Dom/e and he/she allows it. The clubs themselves are very different, some are dungeon like, some are like big bars with stages and specialty rooms. This is to accommodate the different tastes within the BDSM spectrum. Not everyone likes everything within the spectrum. I suggest you try all the clubs and lucky you, you have a "sponsor" that can give you lots of information before you get there.

NovaJelqer the best way to learn the basics is to have a sponsor, if you do not have that the next best thing to learn the basic is reading the information provided in a book called Screw The Roses, Send Me the Thorns, which was recently updated but has been around for a long time ( you can get it from the library in most counties) or SM 101:A Realistic Introduction. AVOID websites for BDSM information, with Hollywood suddenly taking an interest in BDSM since the Book 50 Shades of Gray made it so popular, there are websites full all wrong information that can get you hurt and offends those of us in the lifestyle for a long time.

You have quite a few clubs in your neck of the woods they are actually pretty popular in your area. Just Google Herndon, VA BDSM Club and you will get a nice list. Like I said the best thing will be a sponsor but if you don't have one check the clubs websites and call them see if they have a beginners night or anything of the source. Like Quarzan is going to a class, you might be able to do the same. Hope this helps!
