I recently started thinking about biking across the country to a specific area, but then I realized that if I tried to do that now I would most likely die during it and while I am okay if that happened it isn't something I need to happen before I get. After that initial thought I then went through the list of things that would have to be done and it would probably just be easier to pay for a plane ticket there. The list of things I need to do looks something like this...

Need to lose about 150+ pounds
Train to bike 100-200 miles a day
Learn how to do maintenance on a bike
Create a route
Free upwards of a month to just get there

It's probably better to just get a plane ticket seeing as both options probably cost the same, one just takes about 6 hours while the other takes a month, and I am sure that I would go by plane to get home as I wouldn't really feel up to another 2300 (or easily more) miles. Plus with me doing the trip alone on a bike there is something like a 4500.6% increase in me dieing during it and, to be honest, that does make is sound more exciting.

What is the purpose that we humans were created to love without liking/respecting/tolerating.

This saying drives me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Sometimes Your Heart needs More Time to Accept What Your Mind Already knows"

Well guess what, the heart (or soul in my opinion) is STRONGER. It lives forever remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A thought occurred to me today about a saying today. The saying of "Quitters never win."

If that is true then if someone were to stop quitting, basically quit quitting, then wouldn't that be quitting something and then that would mean that person wouldn't win.

Or am I over thinking things?

LOL!! :becky:

There are two quitters, quitters of a negative habit are positive quitters and quitters of a positive habit/thing are negative quitters, the former are winners and the latter are not! :biggrin1:

So the quitters that win are winning because they are somehow impervious to this rule? Perhaps these people have evolved to allow this to happen and those that don't quit quitting don't have the evolutionary trait for for succeeding. This must be tested in a laboratory for many years and then perhaps some light meditating under a waterfall.

Another saying that makes little sense is "Talking behind my back" or doing anything behind someones back. Wouldn't this mean talking in front of you?

When you are behind someone you are facing someones back so therefore being behind someone's back means you are in front of them and yet this saying never means that someone is talking right in front of them.

Sayings are odd.

Sayings are odd in some cases, if you take them literally, and not figuratively, sometimes a metaphor or a figure of speech would make sense and last longer in a recipients subconsciousness. :)

Those who quit bad habits like smoking, etc,,, share non of the negative connotations of quitters (a person(s) who gives up too easily), so I guess it is a misuse of the word, probably for slang. :)

I do tend to look at things more literally when it comes to most things. I hypothesize that I do this because if I can come up with a rebuttal towards positive sayings that it will somehow allow other to accept negativity that I am attached to.

And also because some sayings have a big loop hole so big that a horizontally advanced guy like can step right on through like some super double wide revolving door.

You guys. These last posts are so funny!! Lol

I think it's harder to get a 0 if you know any of the material at all. Because you will want to answer what you know.

Or you could be so upset you only know one answer that you just turn in a blank test. Lol

Haha

You've got a point there, but let's say that you have to answer every question on the test.

It is quite interesting how doing something not only negates quitting, but is so strong that they don't balance out and lead you to doing nothing.

It most likely is. I figure that to get the zero you still need to know the right answer, or at least the wrong answer, so that way you don't get any question correctly. You do have a slightly better chance of getting the wrong answer, if the test is multiple choice, but if the test is True/False then you have the same chances as right and wrong, which means get either is just as hard to do.

Getting ready to go to bed. This hotel in Conroe, Tx will be my home for two weeks. Missing my family already. Homesick.

If any of you want to see how far the pit of cinema goes, where you can see the worst of the worst, then I am going to suggest all of you watch the movie Birdemic. It is so bad that even the worst movie you saw would seem like the best one ever.

Reunited with his dear wife Holly.
Naw. The worst movie ever made was "Plan 9 from outer space."
Ed Woods writing and directing.

Can't be worse than Birdemic. Birdemic looks like someone was able to convince someone that putting it out in theaters would be the correct thing to do. The movie is like someone only took lessons from high school, 30 years ago, and decided that things like editing and sound was not important.
