Is it your opinion that citizens have the right to own only the guns that require each round to be chambered, then?Liberals respect the second amendment and do not want to ban all guns. Just the modern military style guns that are involved in most school mass shootings. Also reasonable licensing requirements. I was in the army and achieved expert ratings on the M16, 30 caliber machine gun, and the 45. accordingly, I do have some knowledge of the workings of guns, or weapons as they were referred to in the army (guns were on ships). in my opinion, the second amendment did not refer to modern automatic or semi automatic weapons that did not exist when it was passed.
I do wonder how you formed your opinion of what the second amendment was referring to. Is it simply based on the guns that existed at the time? If so, should text messages be exempt from 4A, given that they didn't exist at the time? Did something that you read in the Federalist Papers lead you to that conclusion?
