If you think alienating the countries you listed, as well as all your other allies is not going to have an extreme negative effect on USA and it's economy (a decline) then prepare to be surprised. My country is the largest purchaser of US goods in the world and we all just completely stopped buying American. Literally any other product will do as long as it is not American on the label. The American produce options are rotting in the stores and they can not even give it away any more. All because of one retarded man. Yeah the trade war is going to hit my country negatively as well but USA is going to get hit harder starting disputes with everyone. We have lost one ally, America has lost every ally. Personally just this past weekend I was ordering something online (a want, not a need) for a few hundred dollars and after checking where it was made (USA) I switched what was in my cart and in the end my money went to Turkey because I could not find the product locally.

If you remove energy exports from the equation, USA has a massive trade surplus with my country. That means we buy more products from them than they do from us. In fact we buy more products from them than any other country in world. Most the energy/resource exports from my country to USA will still continue despite the tariffs because USA needs them to meet their own demand and in the end the American citizens will just pay more for them now. That is unless WE decide to cut those exports such as turning off the electrical power supply to the north eastern USA or cutting off the mineral exports your manufacturing industry depends on.
