Long time lurker, first time poster here. This thread has been one of the best things I’ve ever read regarding PE. I’ve noticed massive improvements since practicing this. I wouldn’t say I’m cured, as sometimes i still can lose control and end up stop start edging with a 9 arousal from time to time, but this has really allowed me to understand where my acquired PE came from…a lack of practice and a lack of arousal control. The more you do this, and build it up slowly, the more significant improvements you will see. Byggd’s words about being kind to yourself and not worrying as much about things have really stuck with me too. Again, a work in progress on that front, but i have really tried to put it into practice and when i do it effectively, life (and sex/masturbation) gets a whole lot easier and more fun. Note to anyone who is a bit afraid of porn like i was - there is nothing wrong with it and it won’t ruin your brain forever. View it like a training exercise, and try to avoid binging like i used to do (by that i mean flicking through loads and loads of images or videos in one session). These days i will focus on one female pornstar/model for at least a week at a time, normally 2-3 weeks. That’s more likely to feel realistic and be chemically more similar to real sex than watching 100 girls get fucked every day. It also allows you to get more comfortable watching them, and is less likely to spike your arousal. It feels quite wholesome and fulfilling at times to be honest compared to watching crazy amounts of diff content.
