Jesus. 31 pounds of hanging. Impressive stuff.
Thanks Toadstool, I found that at that weight I finally got enough stress to make todays session a very good one for being fatigued. I have never had to drop so much the next day as I have had too today. I can usually go 2 or 3 lbs down per set but today I was dropping 5 lbs at a time and still felt as if I was riding the fatigue all the way down.
My good freind Going411 had suggested some time back that I may want to add some jelquing in with my hanging and so yesterday I did just that and added 20 minutes of the famous exercise and I hung like a beast all night and woke up today with a still plump man popsicle.
I am modifying my routine so I can get in some jelquing and I am going to try to pump again but I think with what I have learned I will be better off than before.
My routine for the time being will be as follows:
Day 1, hanging followed by jelquing
Day 2, hanging followed by jelquing
Day 3, hanging followed by pumping and jelquing
day 4, off
I have tried pumping with hanging before and it didnt work so well but I have learned from the past and I believ that if I pump before a planned day off I will be fine. I am not pumping for massive gains, just to keep the EQ good, I will not pump enuff to suffer edema that will last for any more than a few hours and with a day off I should be fine but with the past failures trying to combine these two ( best ) exercises I will again immediately drop the pumping if any issues arise for hanging. I have been experimenting with some mild ( one set) pumping the last few weeks and I have only done so once a week and have had no issues. i am comfrtabl enough with the hardcore hangerthat adjustments when required are no issue, they are quick and easy. The hardcore is much better for me and I believe that the problems I had before were largely due to the starter not being big enuff for me in the first place.
