I don't think I could live outside the US. I have 50+ hand guns, shotguns and rifles. Many of the rifles are labeled "assult weapons"...I several of them for hunting. The Ak round is a great wild hog caliber. Many of those AW I built myself...that is the only way I could aford as many as I have.

Drank myself into a blackout the first time I drank--New Year's Eve. I walked out into
below zero temps. and my friends found me in the snow or I would have frozen to death.
I could go on and on, but at times, I realize that my guardian angel was with me during
my drinking days. The closest I came to meeting my maker under the influence is when
three of us went out drinking and then playing chicken with a blind railroad crossing.
We approached the crossing, the driver, drunk as a skunk, floored it, and we sailed over
the crossing. I was in the back seat of the car, and I looked up to the huge glare of
the train engine's front light right on top of me. I thought for sure I was about to die.
The train, at 80 mph, roared by us as we missed being creamed by a hair's width.
I almost puked right there on the spot. I screamed, "Let me the fuck out of here." The
driver stopped to let me out and I walked five miles to town and home. The fresh air
felt wonderful and I was so grateful to still be alive.
The two of them drove on and ended up driving into a lake where they drowned.
My guardian angel was definitely looking after me that night some 57 years ago.

And don't you think fully automatic assault rifles are a bit overkill for hunting? lol
In the U.S. politicians like to call numerous semi auto rifles "assault rifles" and this leads to people who don't know any better into thinking "joe blow" can walk into any local gun store and purchase a full auto weapon. Look into the ATF regs into this matter and you will see that you have to go through a lot of red tape (if your state will allow it) to actually own a full auto weapon. I can't in my state.
Why would you need that many weapons? Well in all liklihood you wouldn't but in the U.S. there is something called the second ammendment and that gives you the right to own firearms even beyond the number that some find excessive. Some people collect stamps others cars or guns. Unfortunately some seem to have an automatic bias against gun owners and I believe most of it stems from mis information (propaganda)from the media. If only people knew the truth.
I was at a party and a girl there told me and my friend that she wanted to see our dicks. Thinking that this might lead somewhere we both complied. She took both of us in her hands and said "this ones bigger". I didn't know it was a dick size contest. Of course I had the smaller one ( quite a bit smaller). Care to guess who she chose to be with? Size sure as hell made a difference that night. That did wonders for my self worth. I never revealed it again until I met my wife.
I'm originally from Michigan, and at least there you do have to go to the county sheriff's office to get a permit for a pistol. Shotguns and rifles are on a walk in basis, though. Virginia does not require a permit, and the concealed carry cost $50. They do a check for a criminal record at the store and you're done.
I have quite a few assualt rifles all semi automatic and me and the wife both have concealed carry permits. Quite a few households in my neighborhood have 10+ guns and almost every house has atleast 1.
Really? I can honestly say I don't know anyone who owns a gun here in my village or surroundings. But agree that Belgian law is probably 95% the same as French law.

I also once almost froze to dead. I drank a lot of jenever, went outside to watch my bike and BAM .. It just fell to the ground and I couldn't get up anymore.. Luckily a girl saw me and my dad came to pick me up. He drove with me to the emergency center because he thought I was undercold. I only wore a tshirt and it was also below 0 that night.

See, I don't get that. If someone put a gun in my hands I would be able to do the safety off, and shoot ofcourse, but reloading and stuff or taking off all the different parts of a gun (like you see in the movies when navy seals need to "construct" their weapon) .. I don't know sh*t about that
+ I wouldn't feel good if I knew my whole street where I live got guns in there homes. I'm not judging though.
Well I'll be.. Cali rapes your right to bear arms, gotta go through a 30-90 day waiting period, then 10 day background check, and that's just for a licsense for one gun, need to be 21 for a handgun, and you can only get a conceal carry permit through getting the "OK" from the sherrifs office, and you need a good reason too, can't just say oh I wanna hide it, must have been robbed, assaulted, war vet, peace officer etc etc...

But hmm something real dumb while drunk.. Back when i was a teen me and some friends stole a few bottles of Skyy, drank em amongst three of us, one bottle for each person, then my dumbass remembers i had to take my anti depressant, gee wizz what a great time to pop that... Blacked out 20 min later, only to wake up in a hospital with a dozen IV's sticking out my arms, still drunk I ripped them out, and being so delusional from what occurred while blacked out tried to escape from the hospital, took 3 security guards to take me down and bring me back to the room, turns out right when I blacked out, I was with friends when cop was driving by, as friend said hey be careful pigs, I looked at him sheepishly said what? And fell flat on my fucking face, got up and cuffs where on me in a flash, at the hospital I puked for 2-3 hours going in and out of consciousness ... They said if it wasnt for me being arrested I would have most likely have died from alc poising, or stroke what with the spike in blood pressure... At fifth fucking teen..

I would call that an arsenal. As they say, "Gun violence is as American as apple pie." I have personally witnessed
the tragedy--a family tragedy too painful to discuss here--that a gun can do in the wrong hands.
My wife and I both had concealed carry permits issued by the local sheriff.
Thank the Lord we never had to use our guns. I have since gotten rid of them. Against an intruder, I would not have
a chance of a snowball in hell if I had to use a gun.
I'm too old and vision impaired--even back in the days, I doubt if I would have survived a gun duel.
In Ohio you are allowed to carry a concealed weapon into a bar. I ask you, "Is that legalized insanity, or what?"
This country is so fucked up with the gun thing.
You know the media never tells anyone about all the violent crimes that are thwarted by lawful gun owners. It actually out numbers the gun crimes by criminals but that story doesn't fit in with the media's agenda. Obviously their propaganda is effective on a certain portion of the population, unfortunately.
What I would consider a fucked up country as you say is one that insists that its population be unarmed victims where only the criminals are armed (Chicago) and ruled by a corrupt and tyranical government. We are quickly approaching this which is sad and especially so considering some actually welcome it.
As for gun free zones in various public places? Im all for it. Look how effective those policies were in that theatre in Aurora or Virginia Tech. Had those policies and laws not been in effect I would hate to see how many more victims would have lost their lives. Too bad the crazed shooters didn't abide by it. What were they thinking?
My solution for people who don't like guns is for them to not own guns. Simple!

The media also never tells you of the lack of gun safety training the majority of gun owners have and never tells you of all of the legally mentally ill people who are allowed to get guns because there's no form of testing in place to make sure the person buying the gun isn't going to go out and shoot up a bunch of people.
Gun control doesn't have to be you not being able to use or have your guns, like people freak the fuck out about. Gun control can be required courses on gun safety (like you have to take to get a drivers license) before you can own a particular gun (courses for rifles, assault rifles, pistols, etc), regulations that state guns must be stored in a gun safe when in the home like smart countries in Europe do (would cut down on people stealing parents guns to murder someone or kids accidentally shooting themselves or someone else), making all non-semi-automatic rifles illegal (I owned a pre-ban AR for years before I sold it since I needed the money. Trust me, I LOVE full auto, but as a civilian, I have absolutely no need for the ability to shoot more than what my index finger will allow), and cutting down in places where concealed carry is allowed (Open carry wont hurt you. I've done it for years with knives and handguns. Even in a corrupt ass state in the most corrupt county behind LA, the police have never hassled me other than making sure I'm of age and legally allowed to carry said weapons. Getting stopped every now and then, losing 30 seconds of your time, wont hurt and in the end makes the world a better place.)
My advice to you, from one gun owner and lover to another, don't listen to the media. They have their agenda, but the government has their own agenda which is different (they wont tell you how gun ownership has become easier since Obama has become president, despite those laws not being in his hands and being created and passed by the legislative branches).
I don't have a gun licence and I'm not planning to get it (unless I'l work in security, then it's ok). I have heavily modified paintball marker (rifle) and another smaller one (pistol).
The pistol was actually a real pistol but I kept only the casing and several parts and can fire for about 15 times before it needs reloading (dismantling and putting CO2 capsules and projectiles (custom medium hard plastic)). For now it's the only way, but I'll make something better. Since it's not lethal (it's always on 5% of power, only I can make it work properly) it's basically a toy and I can carry it. But it should be concealed.

I use it for boars (when I don't want to kill them, but I want them to go away) and a few times on humans. Gypseys in Croatia are like locust, only they take everything made from metal. They stole some things from my family and a few of my things so one night I left several parts in my yard and waited for them. Alarm woke me up (silent alarm, only I heard it) and I was without mercy. They threatened to sue, I threatened to make stronger version of the rifle. Needless to say that they backed out.
