I shouldn't have to worry about getting cancer then.

If that really is the case then I wonder if my grandpa would have exchanged out his tobacco pipe for a bong when he had pancreatic cancer. That would have been a funny sight. :p

Maybe there would have been a better chance of him living today. God rest his soul.

The study in which it links to is one done on mice. That article seems to have been taken down, but I found an archive of the study here: https://web.archive.org/web/2015081...ov/about-cancer/treatment/cam/hp/cannabis-pdq

Although the study shows it kills cancer in mice, humans are not mice ... and until more studies surface showing the actual killing of cancer cells in humans ... this claim (which is significant) can't really be made yet.

One of the things listed that cannabis does is inhibit cell growth. I dont think that is something anyone that works out wants. There are also the side effects of cannabis, like low libido, lack of motivation, stinking, etc. I think it may be fine for medicinal purposes, but I think it is not something people should do on a regular basis for recreation. Treat it like alcohol, once every few months. For the record I haven't used cannabis in 13 years, but I am speaking from personal experience.

Interesting. Well then, time will tell when more research has been made. Thanks for sharing, TeddyBear. :)

My grandpa had cancer and smoked marijuana religiously. He died anyway. I know that's empirical, but it doesn't particularly give me much hope. I still have hope though. Cancer is tragic and horrible. The world needs a breakthrough already. A world without cancer would be awesome.

I believe the medical community has a cure for cancer. As long as they keep treat it the dollars keep coming in. If everyone is cured how are they going to continue to make money? Can't stop the gravy train. Sorry if I hit a nerve. I think we all have had a love one lose the fight with cancer.

I totally agree Bigrooster at the end of the day cancer is a multi billion dollar industry. Unfortunately driven by the large pharmaceutical companies making billons at our expense. The only cure they are looking for is something they can put a patent on.

Do you guys think you might feel differently about that if you had a national health service like in the UK?

Did you see the live testing they did on channel 4 Burty?

Yep, I did see that, the one with Jon Snow? He had smoked weed as a kid he said but the weed today was strong as hell and made him freak out.

There's been a formal cure - one that could probably work within a month or even much sooner. However, only hand-picked Politicians get to bathe in those opportunities...everyone else gets hit with poor food quality & deceptive candy marketing!

With that being said - enough about the pathophysiology / etiology of Cancer exists within public and private pubmed/medline databases. Do enough research you'll find there's a lot of compounds with potential..e.g 10-HDA (10-hydroxy-decanoic-acid) from bee's "royal jelly"..then Valerian, Olive Leaf and turmeric's Curcumin all find and destroy cancer cells as well as helping our own T-cells do their jobs instead of "turning their backs" on our homestatic rhythms.

This goes for cannabis oil. Smoking cannabis does the opposite.

Do research on cannabis oil and see for yourself.

What we eat causes cancer, sugar, sweeteners, too much meat etc. What we inhale causes cancer, exhaust fumes mostly. Fix those 2 things and there will be little cases of cancer.

I seriously doubt there is anything you could eat or drink that causes cancer. You almost get cancer over 100,000 times a day just being alive. That's about a one in an billion chance one of your body's cells will fuck up and mutate all by itself without anything you can do to prevent it.

Constant exposure to toxins can cause cancer. What your eating and drinking unless it says it's organically certified is most likely grown with chemical fertilizers and sprayed with chemical pesticides. Organophosphates are a type of pesticide that are linked to Gulf War Syndrome, I don't think they use them now, but our recently elected conservative government has given the okay for the use of pesticides here that are known to kill off bees. I don't know if it's the same chemical, but it's probably no good for us.

Doesn't like a high oxygen environment either.

I think I read somewhere that smokers of weed are no more at risk than non smokers, as opposed to smokers of tobacco.
