Wow! Just my thoughts... Our bodies are all different, what works for one may not work for the other. Being in healthcare all my life I see this all the time. The older I get the more I lean to holistic approaches. Yes! Edging works for me, as kingpole mentioned previously, I believe it increase various levels in our body thus producing a much happier erection. I was lazy last week and did not perform them and I noticed a huge decrease in all areas. Can I prove it !?! No, but how do we determine that acetaminophen works better than ibuprofen and vice versa? We listen to the people. Science is blinded by numbers, they are too limited by their reference range... Example blood sugars... Normal 70-110, if mine falls below 80 I'm symptomatic... We are all different and they are only numbers that should be used as reference tools!!!
Thanks for the awesome info and hard work/research blink!!!

Raphael from what I've gathered looking at different posts on edging on this site is that edging is mostly used to help with pre-ejaculation and to learn to achieve dry orgasms and multiple male orgasms (stamina training) but I don't see why it wouldn't improve gains in girth/length, having an increased blood flow to your penis more often than would occur naturally without stimulation can only benefit your gains. I remember reading a complete penis growth guide that I downloaded years ago that included thorough guides and routines for all the types of PE and edging was one of them, the guy who wrote them also recommended doing like a 1000+ kegals a day and massaging your penis whenever you got a chance in conjunction with whatever routine you choose so its clear the message he was giving is that any increased blood flow is beneficial. Also on a side note I see you aren't a believer in jelqing but on this guide I speak of he mentioned it's been a practice by Arabs for 1000s of years that fathers teach their sons when they reach puberty and instruct them to jelq 30 mins daily because its a well known practice in their culture to achieve a large penis its like how they rate their health or something like that he said and that's the only method they've used for PE for centuries and its been working great, he mentioned when they start around 12 or so I think it was most boys have 6" length by 8th grade. Jeqling was even labeled on the PE guide as The Arabian Jelq Method.

I don't know what site I found the guide on if any one wants to ask me because it was years ago before I even started PE (just started last month) and I had downloaded it to a laptop that was stolen about a year ago.

After our discussion (thank you for the input), and some study I think I have found an acceptable answer for why Edging works.

Why Edging Works

The Science Behind Edging
While reading another thread here at PEGym I saw a post on a completely different subject, and something clicked for me. I think I have a theory on the possible scientific principles that make Edging work. A PE routine creates microtears and creep in your penile tissues. Your weakened and stretched penile tissues are susceptible to deformation in this condition.

A prolonged erection caused by Edging results in additional blood flow in the penis. The gentle internal force of your blood acts like an internal pump assisting with deformation of your penile tissues by keeping the internal structures in an expanded state. The extra bloodflow may also further assist your growth by providing additional nutrients and oxygen which mildly accelerate the healing of your penile tissues in an expanded state. This results in a natural boost to both your overall PE gains (both length and girth).

The Same Principles as Known Medical Conditions (That Increase Penis Size)
WIth Edging the prolonged erection effectively acts like a self-induced Priapism, causing a lesser (and safer) form of Megalophallus. Both Priapism and Megalophallus are known medical conditions. I have included definitions for each condition to help others better understand the science behind this. I believe that at least to some extent, Edging operates on the same principles as a Priapism induced Megalophallus.

Clamping and girth work appear to often work on similar principles as well. However, the external force acts differently than the more natural internal forces of a Priapism induced Megalophallus (or Edging). I believe this is why Edging will not interfere at all with your length gains, while girth work is known to make length gains more difficult.

Some members of PEGym including Kingpole and Going411by7 have successfully used Edging to increase or enhance their PE gains. Going411by7: "My Edging sessions normally run for an hour or more--sometimes two hours"

I'm not sure the extent to which Edging helps PE growth has ever been scientifically studied. However, it appears to operate based on the same principles as existing medical conditions which are proven to increase penile size. I have included the definitions of Priapism and Megalophallus below.

Priapism

Priapism
Priapism is a persistent, usually painful, erection that lasts for more than four hours and occurs without sexual stimulation. The condition develops when blood in the penis becomes trapped and unable to drain. If the condition is not treated immediately, it can lead to scarring and permanent erectile dysfunction.

It can occur in all age groups, including newborns. However, it usually affects men between the ages of 5 to 10 years and 20 to 50 years.

There are two categories of Priapism: low-flow and high-flow.

Low flow: This type of Priapism is the result of blood being trapped in the erection chambers. It often occurs without a known cause in men who are otherwise healthy, but also affects men with sickle-cell disease, leukemia (cancer of the blood) or malaria.
High flow: High flow Priapism is more rare than low-flow and usually less painful. It is the result of a ruptured artery from an injury to the penis or the perineum (area between the scrotum and anus), which prevents blood in the penis from circulating normally.

Priapism Causes:
-Sickle cell anemia
-Medications: Desyrel or Thorazine
-Trauma to the spinal cord or to the genital area
-Black widow spider bites
-Carbon monoxide poisoning
-Illicit drug use, such as marijuana and cocaine
-Cancer

Medical Treatments:
-Ice packs: Ice applied to the penis and perineum may reduce swelling.
-Surgical ligation: if an artery has been ruptured, the doctor will ligate (tie off) the artery
-Intracavernous injection: drugs known as alpha-agonists are injected into the penis
-Surgical shunt: Also used for low-flow Priapism
-Aspiration: doctor inserts a needle and drains the blood from the penis

Megalophallus
Megalophallus
Written by Remek

Who says penis enlargement isnt possible? Over the years, there have been several reports of Megalophallus --a rare penis enlargement disorder.
Megalophallus: A Mega Enlarged Penis
The word Megalophallus derives from mega meaning huge, and phallus meaning penis. The disorder is caused by aPriapism, which is a prolonged and uncontrollable erection that can last several hours to days.
Remarkably, several men who experience these long-lasting erections later experience an enlargement of the penis. In one case, a man who had several Priapisms during his adolescent years reached a penile circumference of nearly eight inches! (That's roughly the girth of a coke can.)

The Cause of Megalophallus
The exact cause of Megalophallus is unknown, but it is most common in men with sickle cell disease. There have been several theories regarding the disorder. A popular idea is that the prolonged entrapment of blood blocks new oxygen from entering the penis, which effectively causes hypertrophy (growth).

Another idea suggests that the prolonged erection stretches some of the tissues within the penis, along with exercising the penile smooth muscle. Nevertheless, before you consider a way of giving yourself a Priapism, know that a large percentage of the men who experience them become impotent.

I invite guys to add to my investigations of edging for size and how to make it more effective .
