I just finished my workout and I came during edging, has this basically caused my workout to be a waste of time? I feel like I have just wasted an hour because I have ejaculated. Sounds kinda ridiculous but I don't know I feel like my dick has turtled way more than if I handn't and my aim was to not ejaculate and I have. Especially baring in mind I came yesterday as well, has this rendered todays dick exercises less effective than if I didn't come?

Probably a little bit. If you do it once its not that big deal, but twice consecutive times its a bit too much, in my opinion. You should take more control over it. If you feel the need to cum, stop. Whats more important for you? Orgasm or bigger penis? Think about that always.

I have the same confusion..Whenever I do a nice jelq routine, I watch porn to stay hard and but I also get extremely horny so right after jelqing I always end up masturbating...Fuck jelqs haha I'm gonna stick with length work for now...

There is no real proof that ejaculating after a routine has any negating effects against your PE efforts.
This originally came from a poll on this very forum, where members were asked if they gained well, and if they came at the end of PE sessions. There was a slight correlation between gaining, and not having orgasms after workouts.

However, if I remember correctly, it was well within the margin of error for the sample size. On top of that, there are other ways to interpret the data - for example; one might say that those who hold off on orgasming after a workout have better self control, and therefore are predisposed to being more consistent with their routine.

IMO, it's not a huge deal if you have an orgasm every now and then after your routine

You didn't waste your time. You just fell off the horse. Now get back on and don't look back,,,,,,well at least don't dwell on it and do not feel guilty. Be content knowing that we all ocassionally fall of the horse and it's part of the thrill of PE. You got to that PONR feeling and just couldn't contain yourself! Happens to me on ocassion.........all right ALOT!! LOL My advice would be to stretch a bit after you empty out to keep yourself from shrinking after all that work,,,,,also heat that baby up....heat helps the growth and healing. We all react differently, but your mindset is super important in how you overcome those incidents. Just keep on PE'ing.... :)

I agree with Donjelqer. I think Big Al has also suggested that it can be beneficial for those who are not sexually active to allow themselves to orgasm twice a week. SInce I am sexually active with my wife, my goal is to not ejaculate during my PE sessions...though that has occasionally happened. I don't think you undo your PE work, but I do know that i feel much more pumped and have much more energy after my sessions when I don't pass the PONR.

I cant see how an orgasm can negatively effect your gains. One has nothing to do with the other. Your workout is tearing and stretching. An orgasm has nothing to do with that. Right?

The stimulus for adaption should still be there regardless if there's an orgasm.

Its very individual. I talk from my own experience. After PE workout I used to edge and then I ejaculated at the end, and I noticed slight loss of gains. Thats why I think it may be counterproductive. But you see, some people say they gain anyway.

So its just you who can find out what works for you.

What to do..

I feel like what I'm doing is not effective however I don't know how to correct it or make my routine better so I experience a better hang, less turtling and less soreness in certain spots.

I just finished my routine and I just don't feel like its done a lot of good, I even edge and warm down to prevent turtling but it doesn't help. My dick feels lifeless and like its not reacting well to PE but I'm only doing JP90 nothing more than that and I'm fairly gentle.

My routine at the moment is:

Warm up 10 mins - rice sock, basic stretches left right down up etc 30 secs each, jelq 10 mins, edge 25-30 mins, don't release, warm down in bath 5 mins.

result immediately after this - hard feeling flaccid, turtling/similar sized flaccid (no hang), some soreness in veins maybe due to jelqing (although I do not jelq hard) and sometimes even a slight pain when I take a piss (this has been a recurring issue even when I took a break from PE perhaps unrelated UTI or something..)


Any help would be appreciated as I don't feel what I'm doing now is productive. Maybe a change in routine is needed however this is the basic recommended routine so maybe I'm doing something wrong, I dunno.

Soreness dosent have to nessicarily a bad thing. Jp90 is to get used to PE so you are just adjusting to penis training. Keep up what you are doing and i would be willing to bet over the weeks you will be less sore less turtling etc.. as you adjust to PE.

Your routine sounds fine, but something to keep in mind is that the JP90 is an "intense" beginners routine. For some, it may be just a little too much to start out with. Some have followed the less is more idea, and have had great success. With that in mind, here is my opinion;

Take a break (at least a couple of days, probably more) until everything feels normal. Then start again, at a lower volume/intensity (stretch, jelq, and edge time). If you have positive PI's, then go with it. Follow your PI's to know when, or if, you need a slow incremental increase.

A slight worked feeling is okay, but anything above that is not. The pain while urinating could very well be a UTI, or a sore glans from a rough grip. May want to get it checked out, just in case.

How is the grip on your stretches? Make sure it is below the glans, and not too hard.

Thanks for the replies, its just hard to decide whether I should just continue or take a break as some would say I'm fine and others would say I'm not...how you interpret your PI's I guess.

My grip on my stretches can sometimes be tricky as I sometimes slip down onto the glans and sometimes could be seen as being too close to the glans. I think it could be to do with the veins as sometimes when I helicopter I feel a pain under my shaft. Just hard to decide what to do with this information or PI's I guess as I really don't want to get out of routine or take a break just yet.

Another thing is I don't get erections like I probably should at my age, be it, random, strong erections whilst maturating or morning wood. Only time I do is when I'm around my girlfriend or of course having sex (which is no issue for erections). This could be interpreted as a negative PI however some say that further control over erections and stronger erections sometimes come in time whilst doing PE?

I'm kinda stuck between having a sinking feeling that what I'm doing is wrong or too much, yet, having a suitable routine that should be fine. I guess I have no positive PI's and perhaps a few neutral/negative PI's but I don't understand it. If I had a greater understanding in what is causing it I would be able to change it but I simply don't understand where I'm going wrong or maybe I'm not..

you may want to look the PI article over again:

Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to Help Penis Growth!

Nothing bad about taking a 'recovery break', vacation, and the when restarting, err on the side of going gently, any increases ought to be small incremental ones. You also may choose to go with a simpler routine, until you are satisfied with your pi's.

Do you ever get those days where you're pretty content with your size and then other days where you feel like sh*t when you look at it even in its fully erect state?

I don't understand this, it's the same size each time but some days I feel better about it than others. Having this instability in emotions when it comes to my dick isn't healthy and I hate it.

I can identify with this "feeling"...just hoping the sense and feeling of thicker and heavier will become the future as I continue my PE program. What I'm seeing and feeling is definitely an improvement over where I was before discovering PEGYM and all it offers. So glad to be "in the Gym!"

I don't seem to get the feeling of thicker and heavier you guys speak of, maybe if I did I'd feel a little comfort in knowing I was at least improving.
