There's also the more aggressive VL posts coming from those recommending corrective surgery from some doc in Shanghai for "only" $10K. Maybe they're working together
Medical papers written by such a doctor for people who really do have venous leak can be found here:

ED-Forum.com • View forum - Publications by Dr. Geng-Long Hsu

The admin of this forum, "hardwood," previously posted on alt-penis under the name "softglans." His surgery by Dr. Hsu was so far very successful. Another guy on that forum also had surgery with him. This doctor probably does have the best technique for this surgery, with over 3000 cases performed, and a success rate between 70-90 percent.

Chances are good that most people who think the have venus leaks actually do not. If you think you do, get yourself to a specialist in erectile dysfunction immediately, and don't waste your time posting things that make people needlessly paranoid. Also, be aware that there is a small risk, and it does happen to some people. Here is one such case. This is the one that prompted the "warning to newbies" on thunders.

Here is another thread that you may want to read in its entirety to get an idea of some of the PE risks, if you are not careful. One of the posters later in this thread is "MrNilsen" who was banned on thunders for being a troll. I initially thought he was as well, but have since changed my opinion. I think he did sustain an injury.

Erection problems from PE (I think)

For someone who does have an injury, the posts by "tbirdy" are good--the guy's attitude is amazing, and he gives lots of suggestions to try, listed on the very last page.

Some of Dr. Hsu's fans can be found right here on this forum as well.

Thanks for the link. I had to contend with "softglans" on the Alt-Penis forum. My issue with him was his recommendations for this surgeon while discounting other possible methods.

Yeah, saw that when I read the thread. I didn't notice the other recommendations though, what were they? Gotta say though, if I were in his situation, I'd be getting on a plane and heading to Taiwan too. This guy has the most research, experience, and is completely open to peer review. I agree with hardwood that one day this may very well become the preferred method of treatment and reverse the American Urological Association's recommendations against its routine use.

Wow that thread is amazingly informative techguy. After reading it I have to say that PE can be just as dangerous as it is beneficial. Moderators are quick to ban people that suffer any type of injury, claiming they create a false sense of fear among people who want to try PE. I think it is just as important to know the risks of PE as it is to know the benefits.

Thank god my ED is very mild and curable but I am convinced that if I never got overzealous with pumping and stretching 12 years ago that my penis would maintain erections more efficiently than it currently does. Neverthless I think the single most important thing to do when trying penis enlargement is to go VERY LIGHT, only slightly increasing intensity each time and closely monitor how your penis responds in terms of erectile function. If you ever lose EQ, then back off PE until you are healed.

PE is a very new science, nobody knows exactly how it works or why it works, and why it works better for some than others. This is why people who are truthfully describing their injuries from PE should not be banned on sight. I think PE is an awesome area of research, and it is still in the trial and error stages.

I think Ive probably gained .5 inch in length and girth from doing PE when I was about 16-18 but I believe I also hurt my ability to maintain erections as efficiently. My erectile performance was worst at about 18 and gradually got better through healing (and quitting PE) until about 22-23 where I was fully healed to the best of my bodies ability. At about 28 I restarted PE, this time focusing on increasing performance rather than size, and think my erections are now at an all time best (12 years of healing, and modified PE for performance instead of size).

So for anyone that cares here is my current PE routine: Ive only been on it for a couple weeks, however I have had the strongest erections I've had in years on it.

1. Ive cut my ejaculations down to once or twice a week to maximize my sex drive and erectile strength.

2. I am edging/ballooning 2-3 times per week, for 20-45 minutes each session. I try to stay as close to the point before ejaculating for as long as possible. I do not ejaculate after the session, and keep the session under an hour to prevent getting blue balls (strained internal sex organs from refrained ejaculation). I focus on getting near orgasm then letting it subside by reverse kegeling.Sometimes I will also hold the reverse kegel and edge with it, and my penis feels huge when I am edging/ballooning when near orgasm with a reverse kegel. This expands my penis to its absolute maximum size and my penis it noticeably larger for a couple days.

3. I cut out all traumatic forms of PE including jelqing, stretching, and most other techniques since I am focusing primarily on building erectile performance and size by simply increasing the strength of my erections and internal erection pressure. It is working!

4. I am taking 2 fish oil, and 1 natural vitamin E. Also taking 1 teaspoon maca daily, and 1 cup of green tea. Diet is well balanced and excellent. I have also increased my water intake which has a pro sexual effect for some reason.

5. I am weightlifting intensely, with cardio 5-6 times per week.

6. I just started using Bio-Oil as a penis moisturizer after showers. Don't know if it does anything, but I had one of the best erections of my life while edging/ballooning yesterday a couple hours after having moisturized my penis with bio oil. It is possible that it improves penis circulation or heals veins, but it's hard to believe it would do that after one use.

7. I never do strenuous kegels, however I do something called light pleasurable kegels. Light pleasurable kegels sometimes stimulate an erection in me without any manual touch, and I can often maintain these erection for several minutes with just the light kegeling and some light penis swinging. If the erection subsides I never kegel hard to try to maintain it, as this only boosts the erection for a few seconds but than significantly weakens it. Strenuous hard kegels have cause ED in me before, but light pleasureable kegels seem to strengthen me sexually and allow me to maintain erections without stimulation. Summary: Light pleasurable kegels feel good and are very light and easy, never strained.

Following the above routine I am now waking with an erection 5-7 days per week, have great erectile performance and my size seems to be increasing simply because my erections are stronger with more internal pressure. My body has been trained to maintain these powerful erections more efficiently through edging/ballooning and the pleasure principle. If the excellent results I am getting from this routine continue over the next couple months, I will be making a post in the success forum because the results so far are simply amazing.

I must say that for a good post, it's too bad you had to start it out that way. Do you really think moderators ban people because they are injured? If so, how can you explain that you are still here???? We mods spend a ton of time trying to make sure that everyone gets a fair shake and a chance to discuss whatever they want to. Yes, there are some limits, but they are pretty basic, reasonable limits --including being civil, not encouraging violence, not spreading misinformation, and not selling stuff on the forums. It is only through the work of the moderators that these forums remain a congenial community; if we all packed our bags and went home, this would rapidly become a much less friendly place and as less reliable source of good information.

As for your rather inflammatory statement -- yes, we DO worry about people spreading a false sense of fear, because that is by definition misinformation, and it doesn't do anyone any good. We try to rein in members if they go on and on and on with suppositions about their symptoms if they aren't based on any real data, especially if they have never talked to a doctor about them. If somebody is really showing signs of injury that won't respond to a bit of rest and normal common sense, we encourage them to go to a doctor for evaluation. How can this be considered inappropriate or irresponsible? And about knowing the risks of PE -- the mods are often the first to caution newbies to take it easy so as to avoid injury!

Anyway, please reconsider your opinions about how the moderators work here. Read the actual posts we make, and try to keep an open mind.

I was referring to the moderators that banned the guy that techguy was describing as banned (mrnilsen), not the moderators on this board in particular. I have been warned a few times on this board and been called a bot by jonpop, even though I am a human that is typing these posts with my only goal being to help myself and others. This site is an excellent resource for PE and I think the moderation on the forums is excellent aside from being a little overzealous with people who get injured.

You've been here what? A month? You have no idea the patterns of these posts, that have been a detriment to this forum. This has been going on, long before you joined. The ones we get after are posted by people that not only work this site, but all the major PE forums, spreading their scare tactics about injuries that are designed to make people afraid to do PE. I apologize for calling you a bot. It was a knee jerk reaction. (jP

Yeah it's a great thread I spoke to tbirdy a bit sometime back and he really put things in perspective to me. He suffered quite a few injuries, he even had surgery done but I beleive he recovered with regular use of Viagra over a course of several months. I heard about the Viagra study from him and it's said those with mild ED can be cured and experience permanent blood flow improvement by taking Viagra nightly over 3 to 6 months.

Check out the AltPenis thread titled "I have been masturbating frequently". I would be suspect of anyone who recommends this surgeon's type of experimental surgery without trying any other options first.

...After reading it I have to say that PE can be just as dangerous as it is beneficial.

I call BS on that claim. PE, when done sensibly, is not dangerous, and for you to state that there risk of injury is somehow equal to any potential gains is very misleading.

Moderators are quick to ban people that suffer any type of injury, claiming they create a false sense of fear among people who want to try PE. I think it is just as important to know the risks of PE as it is to know the benefits.

No one here is being "banned on sight" for complaining of injuries- we're just on to most of the trolls whose agenda it is to disrupt these forums and to tout their surgeries and esoteric supplements.

Some of these trolls are able to temporarily ingratiate themselves by posing as legit members, but sooner or later they all get caught ;)

I just have a question I've heard about Butcher's Broom I think the post was made by Big Al about it healing venous leakages Ive also researched it on the internet as well and it does work, my question is will it do the same for the penis I personally think it can. If Butcher's broom can heal venous leakages in the legs and throughout the body why not the penis as well and why is it never brought up by any doctors/urologists has anyone on this forum ever tried it before just asking.

Hey Al, thanks. I found the thread and read through it. First, softglans did research on this for 2 years, and saw one of the best urologists in Germany, so he certainly didn't just jump into this. Second, he did have a positive result so far. The other guy who was really bad off at least now can function with viagra, something he couldn't do before. Anyway, for the suggestions--seems that they were: do stamina work, try butcher's block, and look into the research of another well know urologist, Tom Lue (sorry if I got the name wrong I can't find that thread again). Am I missing anything?

Regarding Dr. Lue, his paper written in 2005 came to this conclusion regarding ligation:

CONCLUSIONS: Penile venous surgery may not have a lasting result in men in whom venous leakage is due to systemic diseases or penile smooth muscle atrophy. However, in patients with a congenital venous leak abnormality of the crura ligation of the proximal crura with umbilical tapes seems to have a satisfactory, durable result.

I would think these guys with injuries from PE would be closer to young guys with congenital leaks than they would to old guys with systemic disease.

I can't speak for doctors but some of them will tend to direct you towards their "peer approved" methods of handling issues- which may involve medications, injections, and/or surgeries. They won't stand to make much money off of recommending a $3 bottle of Butcher's Broom.

My take on softglans' posts was that he was [initially] a bit hostile towards my recommendations that men exhaust all other possible options. My recommendation was that any experimental, expensive surgeries that would require you to travel to another country should be a last resort, if considered at all.

From the tone of his posts, one would think that he was working for the doc that did his surgery- especially since he started his posts with what we've come to recognize as typical anti-PE shills that seem to be a universal format with these posters.

Also, most urologists are of the consensus that if a patient positively responds to Viagra, Cialis, etc. (not including the "tri-mix"), then he's not suffering from any debilitating venous leaks.

For those above described culprits that may be reading this: If any of you pro-Lin/surgery posters want to recommend your services/products, you'd do much better if you changed your tactics and didn't bash PE on a PE forum. Make no mistake- we communicate with each other about your activities across the various message boards, and it's our goal to protect these forums against your destructive activities. Some of you less zealous types may get away with your shenanigans for awhile, but you will get caught in the end.

What "injuries" are you referring to exactly? How are you so sure that these guys are actually suffering from some kind of induced VL caused by PE- especially when almost all of the guys posting these claims haven't had their conditions verified?

Thank you Big Al. There is clearly a lot of history to this debate, if "debate" is the right word, that goes far beyond the current Venous Leak discussions. This casues a lot of confusion since so many of us here have been active less tha a year.
Your perspective and history help a lot.
