Umm Cusp many do not regard Hungary as a democracy the election of Orban is regarded as questionable . He is not well regarded by euro democracies over aa range of issues that you could google . Some regard him as a template for future action by elements within the US if it is to head in an autocratic direction .
He is regarded as a Rus proxy by many and may run into further and worsening issues with the EU and Nato.

Back on thread the Uke backed russians continue to hold areas around the Russian border reaching to Belograd . The Rus seem to be having issues dislodging them and are bombing etc . There is considerable destruction in border areas of Russia up to and including Belograd .

They have a better leader than we do. I have noticed that the phrase "Autocratic Leader" is thrown

Why are there no elections in the democratic country of Ukraine? Why martial law and banning political parties? Is that what I have to spend money on? We've gone through a bunch of wars and never did that. Hell we had this thing called the Civil War when both sides were killing each other right here and we still had elections!!!!!

The Ukranian Constitution calls for the Presidential election to be held in March 2024. However, the Constitution also precludes the election to be held during periods of martial law. Apparently, the Ukrainian government felt it would be to dangerous to suspend martial law in order to hold the election.

The Ukrainian Government (The USA) knows that the little rat, Zelensky will get destroyed in an election and the puppet masters cannot allow that to happen.

Zelenskyy won with 76% of the vote 5 years ago. I haven’t heard any reports that his popularity has declined since then.

There won't be any opposition in the news. Zelensky owns the media. He canceled elections and uses the military to round up any man between 16 and 60.
