I also just want to throw out there, that with things like edging and treading, I personally often find longer sessions have their own perks too. I absolutely wouldn't discourage shorter sessions, I personally just would always make sure to fit in longer sessions too. If I was forced to stick to one, long or short, I'd go long.

I'm trying this treading method at the moment but I don't want to edge right after.

When I started battling my Pre-E back in October I began my anti-porn challenge as well because I think porn, at least for the use I did of it, caused my over-arousal symptoms.

I've been without porn for more than 150 days but now I think I have to incorporate it again.

This method is essential to understand my arousal levels and to check my body reaction. I noticed it's quite hard to remain calm while watching a video, but breathing deeply can help control erection and heartbeat. One thing I noticed is my penis starts feeling really warm, maybe due to the excitement.

Do you have any other suggestions besides breathing correctly to control yourself?

Rational, I would suggest trying this method, as long as you won't have any problems to get back to jerking off to porn. For me, after stopping watching porn and just watching it while treading, it just doesn't feel right to edge to porn, find it too fake to be honest haha! Also, I have never edged after treading, it isn't essential, just make sure, that you stay in control, calm all the time and try to make it lengthy (30mins+). Hope you can control your arousal through this training, overarousal before even stimulation is one sh**ty thing to be honest.

Besides breathing, be focused on your pelvic region. Never let tension build up in that area. Don't let Iks rule over you. If you are able to do these then congrats...... you have completed stage ONE.

I would say the most important part is simply not touching yourself. It's part of the definition of treading. If you don't touch yourself, I would recommend you don't always fight your body. Yes, I recommend breathing and other body calming techniques, but it's also good to just see what your body does, and let it do its thing. The hope is that the acclimation your body will be less spazzy about the fact that it's turned on. So don't think of treading as just some way to shut down arousal, tried controlled and un-controlled.

Though as another specific option for chilling out your body during treading, you may want to read up on meditative reverse kegels: https://www.pegym.com/forums/premat...ing-meditative-reverse-kegels.html#post566326

You might also find that putting your hand on your heart with a light/firm pressure may calm you too.

I know about reverse kegel breathing but I never applied it to treading, thanks.

As for fighting my body reaction this is an interesting point. My goal would be that of being immune to porn. I don't want to be aroused by that, that's why I breathe deeply to stop any unwanted erection. I want to control porn, not being controlled.

Since porn was the cause of my over-arousal I need to reverse this mechanism: I don't know if it's possible to remove excitement feelings caused by porn, at least I am trying to control them.

I had a 25 minutes treading session an hour ago. No touching, deep breathing, focusing on pelvic area not to tighten and the session was a great one. I noticed while watching erotic pron i couldn't get full HARD erection as i used to have before (Though i don't have erection problem). So, is it a good sign that i am now controlling myself while watching porn.

Well I tried it today, managed to stay flacid for 30 mins compared to 20 secs a couple of days ago, although it was nothing hardcore. I found a glass of juice helps. I'll report my findings too. The kegel breathing really helped. I think it's important to remember you're not desensitizing rather controlling your sensitivity.

Okay so I struggle sometimes especially recently trying to edge everyday with getting hard for every session. When I'm with my partner I have no problem whatsover so would this be over arousal? Like I'm getting too excited round my partner hence it being no issue getting hard.

I've been debating whether to leave porn for a few weeks but I think I'll struggle with daily edging sessions if I'm not looking at porn. Any thoughts on this, am I heading down a bad path? I've always been heavy into looking at porn and managed with erections. I think the struggle is the daily and long edging sessions which lower my arousal for over a day for example.

It's important to use porn in moderation. If you use it and are edging '3-5 times a week or more then it would be too much to watch porn every time, 1 in every 3 or 4 sessions watch porn, amd at that have weeks where you don't, two week even, just limit it and see like you would alcohol or fatty food, too much of a good thing about is bad.
Giving it up altogether is better again, but up to you.

Yeah cheers I figured I was on a bad path and am currently on a porn detox now also with no self ejacualtion as I will leave that to my missus about 2-5 times a week.

I think porn was having a bad effect on my arousal levels, I will go back to it in moderation but first I want a break :). A few signs like feeling irritable and anger and temptations to look are signs I've made the right choice to have a break I guess.
