I don't see the big fuss over banning people or closing threads. You wouldn't ask your boss why he fired someone, would you? Its not really any of my business and doesn't affect me in the least. Unless, of course, its a thread I started but from my understanding I would be given ample reason why the thread was closed!

I know it's a little off topic from the original post... Has he or anyone gained 3''+ in length and if so how long did it take?

Dick size has nothing to do with being a moderator but as I understand it when they were voting for me one mod, who shall remain nameless, referred to be as a big dick! ( I didn't tell anyone Pirate; don't get mad at me!)
Just doing my duty, Cuspie. Me, mad? Nah....

By the way, I am not large though, thankfully, due to PE I am on the larger side of average at 6.38"X5" and I have been a Mod for more than a year.

Dammit! I have absolutely nothin of value to add to this thread so Evil Ernie shall now commence to bustin' some ass! LOL!

Anyway, thread closures and post deletions are only to do what a lot of you have already echoed - to keep the place sane. While some might see deleting a post as an act of war, it may be necessary to help douse the flames.

Bless you, Lad.
(You may have rum tonight instead of your usual watered down grog. We can give that to Cuspie, he'll drink anything.)

How did we get onto the topic of penis sizes between the staff? I thinks it's pretty well known that you don't even need to have a penis to be a valuable staff member.

Banning members is something that's not taken lightly here. Maintaining a city-sized forum like this and keeping it running as open and as smoothly as it currently is is not an easy task, and there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that members may not be aware of.

Regarding banning- In almost all cases mods/admins bring individual issues up before the Moderator subforum before a panel decides on what's to be done. If the problem may be resolved by discussing it with the member in question first it's often done via PM.

Some time ago, a "free for all" forum where almost anything could be posted was considered. The main issue was what benefit would it be to PEGym as a whole by having members fond of negative behavior frequenting the forums. We used our collective experience in dealing with other forums with similar outlets to help us in making our decision. In the end it was decided that such a place would change the friendly atmosphere of PEGym; but this forum did need an outlet for non-PE discussions- so "The Gym" subforum was created.

That's not strictly true. Ridiculed got banned because his opinions got him too many negative rep points. At PEgym he never actually got into one on one arguments with people, it was just his opinions that were his eventual downfall.

That's a fair point, but really has nothing to with the moderators, right? My understanding was that a certain amount of negative reputation earned you an automatic ban - I could be wrong and have no idea how it works. Seems to me though like in that case the people had spoken. And lets face it, Ridiculed brought nothing to the table besides negativity and disrespect.
