Too much moderation?

It seems like lots of posts are being closed lately.

For example this one:

Why would it be closed? I don't see any major problems there.

I also see quite a few posts closed in the non-PE sections of the website. I think the site owners need to decide if they're going to allow non-PE related talk or not. In my opinion, either allow it and allow free speech, or just remove it completely.

The thread would have turned in to guys who were attacked defending their penises. Why say their penis is deformed... Even so much as calling out guys on the SITE about their penises being "weird" and shaped like a "child formed it' with playdough.

I'm just saying, it would have gotten ugly quickly. plus, that's the kind of negativity you don't need directed at guys with insecurities. It should have been closed... It's not a bad question but EXTREMELY poorly asked...

"Can PE change the shape of your penis" would have been a better approach.

I agree. For example on the body or dick thread the other day some of the moderation was bordering on the ridiculous. Some guys were saying "yes i would rather have a big dick" and some moderators were objecting to that answer. It would be like somebody doing a skinny body or muscular body thread on a bodybuilding forum and guys saying "yes i would rather have a muscular body" and then moderators objecting to that answer.

If PEgym want to run non PE forums, don't expect one set answer and don't complain when you hear outrageous opinions. If they don't want to hear differing opinions then don't allow the topic. And if they do allow the topic then don't complain about the opinions you are gonna hear.

As long as everyone behaves, we don't care what your opinions are especially on non-PE issues. Name calling, pretending to be multiple people (we had a thread a few months back where in a member used two accounts to get into a flaming match with himself. It was weird), picking fights, or generally being a bad influence, will get you un-invited to the party. We are trying hard to use other tools than the Forever Ban to coach people when they stray whenever possible.
It is okay to be a wingnut here, just be a courteous one.

That's not strictly true. Ridiculed got banned because his opinions got him too many negative rep points. At PEgym he never actually got into one on one arguments with people, it was just his opinions that were his eventual downfall.

Well what we try to teach here is PE for health and self-love not for some past girlfriend or what your friends saw in the shower. So i can understand we're they're coming from.

Anyways. I believe threads are closed to keep this site from going down the toilet which it could easily do if we didn't have moderators that cared. Thats the beautiful thing about this free, caring, and readily giving advice forum we have.

I'm with you guys on this. There's no way that those mods should close down a thread. I mean who do they think they are? Did these guys ever hear of free speech and the right to express my opinion in my own way. These guys must think they're dictators and they're just powermad! I mean what gives? Just because as I'm giving my opinion I happen to refer to the other guy as a fucking moron and that he's an ass from a long line of asses well hell that's my right. I can belittle anyone I want to whenever I want to because if the guy I'm making fun of can't take it then it's his fucking problem not mine. Yeah, he was kinda lame. His posts constantly flammed women, he also would constantly rip on himself. He had an above average size and would keep saying it's worthless and nobody would want that. Way too small if it isn't 7". How do you think that makes other people feel? We asked him nicely to stop both in PMs and in the open forums.
Too bad he didn't listen. Kept saying all women were sluts, hoes, skanks, only wanted big dongs and kept up his negative attitude towards himself.
Not to mention I had three PM's about wanting him gone. Other MODs had multiple ones as well.
Did I mention we gave him a temporary ban as well? Okay.

No thread is closed without much debate. No one is banned without a great deal of debate.
Cut us some slack. We work very hard as Moderators to keep this site friendly and informative.

I think the Mods do a good job!!!, I think some threads do need closing and some deleting but sometimes I don't have a clue why a thread is closed or post deleted.

On the whole i think most mods do a great job. Most are very polite.

One of my only critiscms, is that their seems to be an awful lot of well endowed moderators. Maybe you could have some smaller moderators who could represent the little guy.

Most of the time their dick's are big by the time they have been here enough, posted enough, shown that they'll be good moderator material and so on.
Not all the mods are huge. Look at BW and TTBB for instance

Second this. Things are getting a little out of hand here. I think the negativity has spread and it is even effecting people you wouldn't expect. Ridiculed got banned for too much neg rep. Great the members here have a voice if you don't like the attitude someone portrays you can ask them to leave by neg reg. According to a thread yesterday there are 40k members here. For a forum this size it is fairly tame. Other forums I frequented in the past would have two or three guys getting banned in one thread for arguing or disagreeing with a mod. None of the mods do that here. So keep up the good work and squash any arguing you see.
