OK. I have been using my new Bathmate X40 for the last few days but I've noticed a few bubbles of air leaking into the main chamber where my fit is obviously not snug enough. Now the question I have is 'am I, and possibly others, using it upside down?'. I ask this as it seems that if you use the Bathmate with the stickers/guage visible, i.e. on top then the bellows is positioned upside down? (well at least it is on my X40). I take it that the compressed part of the bellows sits above the penis, allowing the Bathmate to adopt a natural upward angle, in line with an erect penis? I have rotated the bellows 180 degrees and will see how it goes in my next session.

Hey PGDave,

The sticker gauge is meant to be on top, visible to you. Are you continuing to see air bubbles? In many cases, this problem comes down to creating a good seal against your body (whenever I had seal issues, I typically just trimmed the hair in that area, and pressed against the body a bit more forcefully, and it eliminated any air leakage). In some cases, the valve let's air in, so if you're having continual issues with air getting in, try and determine where it's getting in - base or valve. In some cases a replacement valve is needed but more often than not it's about the body seal.

Hope that helps,
Harrison

Is there a Bathmate user gains table somewhere ?

I know there is a phallosan user gains table that is stickied, but I couldn't find the bathmate one.

Thanks

JJ,

We don't currently have one that I'm aware of, but it's a good idea. It'd be good to see the community tracking their gains collectively. Bathmate is often used in conjunction with jelqing, kegeling and sometimes with other devices, so each combination is really it's own category (not to mention the differences in routine). Still, I'd like to see the community put something together to report on their progress.

Cheers,
Harrison

Where is the best place to buy it from? Also where I've found it you can't pick the color? How do I get a red one?

Hey Drinkmachine,

I'm obviously biased, but I'd say bathpump.com is the best place to get a bathmate! 30 day risk free return, 2 day shipping, lowest allowable official prices, super awesome PEGym forum rep...we offer all that. But unfortunately not choice of pump color. ;-) While I agree that it's cool to get to pick the look of your pump, we've found that overwhelmingly people are most concerned with function and so we haven't offered color choice to complicate the matter. That being said, if there's a groundswell of support for offering color choices, it's something we can look at for the future.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Harrison

Question to anyone who can answer: I'm at about 6.5x5, and the site i was looking at recommended the hydromax x40 rather than the x30. However, looking at the size chart it seems like the x30 would be fine for me...? I just don't want to cough up $100 more if I don't need to.

I agree with CptnD, go with the X30 - definitely right for your size. You can definitely get lucky on occasion and find a seller that's legit and offering an official pump below market value, but obviously be careful you're not getting a knock-off. At bathpump.com you get get simple return and replacement options if there are any issues, and the security of owning an official manufacturer pump. Regardless, find the right pump for you and start enjoying!

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Harrison

Hiya Harrison. Thank you for the reply :)

Yes I do have the guage on top. My main concern was that of the position of the bellows. I have swivelled the bellows 180 degrees so that the pre-compressed section of the bellows is positioned on top, i.e. above my penis. I feel that gives a more natural fit. Having said that, I have seen usage videos that show the pre-compressed section of the bellows both above and below, depending upon which video you view, so I suppose it's all down to a case of personal preference.

The air comes from the base when I am using it standing. I've tried without the comfort ring and it is a lot better so it's just a case of playing with it in order to find the right angle/fit.

Thanks again - Dave.

PGD,

I've heard from a solid section of people that prefer going without the comfort pad and that any issues with air leakage they've had are quickly fixed after removing the pad. At the end of the day, it's what works for you, as you said, so if removing the pad and having the bellows on top works for you, obviously you should go for it. I don't see any issues with doing so. Happy to see you're working it out.

Cheers,
Harrison

Hello harrison, when should i use BM? Warming,Stretching, then Bathmate, and then jelqing? Or warming, stretching, jelqing and then bathmate?

What % of erection for using Bathmate?

Others says that i should be used whenever you can and forget about incorporating BM into your routine? Is that Bullshit?

I do the warm up with low pressure in the bath, what i want to know is when to do it with real pressure... Before jelq or after jelq, and what erection level.

Hey mushman,

As Sumpta also suggested, I recommend using BM as a warm up tool. You get in the shower or tub, loosen up for 5 minutes, and then pump for 15. Go slow and raise the pressure over time - a common mistake is pushing yourself to maximum pressure right off the bat. While some people make going in flaccid work, we actually suggest entering the pump with a 50% to 75% erection (not more than that).

After your pumping session, you're well prepped to incorporate kegels, jelqs or other devices into your routine. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here on the forum and TONS of suggested PE routines. Look through the options suggested by the moderators on this site.

Hope that helps!

That's awesome DrFrankenCock! Really happy to hear you're happy with the BM. Keep it up and let me know if you have future questions. BTW, I'm scared to imagine the halloween costume that matches your handle.

Cheers,
Harrison

Get the X30. You are almost the same size as me and I actually asked the same questions before I got my Bathmate. I bought mine on eBay from a top rated seller by making an offer for around $130 US and winning. Even when I took it out of the box I thought I should have gone a size down and bought the Hercules. The X30 had more sucking power and I assumed I would eventually, after a long time, fill it. Bottom line, X30 would be your best bet for sure!

Agree. I upgraded to X40 from Hercules, and bottom line, the less we fill the chamber, the less effective the device will be. So, I put the X40 aside for hopefully a not too distant future and then went out and bought the X30 Extreme. All I can say is WOW. Picked up a Phallosan the same week and I can feel that between the two, I'm going to see my results pick up even faster.

Thanks guys! I'll be getting the x30.

Is there a silicone sleeve that would be able to be used with the x-40?

The normal Bathmate has a diameter of 2 inches, what does that equal in actual girth of the penis? In other words what can your maximal girth be using a pump with a diameter as such?

Also I noted that you should be using this device while 50-75% erect, during the session, will the penis become erect (like it sometimes does while jelqing) or will it remain at the same erection level?

It becomes "erect" in the BathMate. They have a video for the Extreme with a simulated member, and at the end of the session it is larger and straight, allowing you to see the effect of suction and time. That said, in real life, when you take the BM off it doesn't feel like a rock hard spontaneous erection.

The advantage of entering semi-erect is that you won't waste a lot of your pumping time getting to the point where you're actually extending your max and effecting growth. For me, this isn't too realistic- I'm in my mid 40s and very sexually active, so I don't just get hard by snapping my fingers. What works for me is what I call "active pumping. When I get into the BM, I pump up, pull away from my body to ensure not trapped on side and I watch a timer. I pump every 1-2 minutes to ensure I'm at max pressure, and 30 seconds before each pump, I do a gentle traction stretch and a set of 10 kegels/5 reverse kegels. Being active in pumping versus just laying there or worse yet, getting distracted by porn, etc., will get you to max a lot faster.

BTW if you're on the fence about buying, I think the product is great. I have a Hercules, and X40 (too big for now) and an X30 Extreme. The Extreme is worth the extra money. In fact, be careful with the Extreme because it can pull too hard for most of us.

How about the diameter, if the penis gets bigger during the session, how much girth can you have in the normal?

You got any link to the video you spoke about? Thanks for the detalied answer.

Hello Harrison,

I am curious to find out if there is a silicone sleeve that is compatible with the x-40. I have a sports hernia and the large opening allows the suction to pull at the area of the hernia. I did not know this until after you sent me the x-40.

At first I could not figure out why it hurt so much when using it but once the doctor told me I had the hernia and it is on the left side near the base the reason it hurts is crystal clear. I have an air pump and a sleeve that keeps the area in question from getting pressure on it. If there is one that is compatible with the bathmate I would gladly purchase it. The problem is the large entry of the Bathmate. I have tried my air pump with out the sleeve and I get the same pain so I know a sleeve would fix the issue and I really like the Bathmate.
