I know what you mean. Its very different stats to look at and impossible to figure out which one is more accurate. I tend to believe that Hebenick is more precise though.

Also, how can i be "above average" in length and girth and be "big" in volume?

A lot of guys will be above average in one but not the other being above average in both would make volume better than being in either alone.

With this percentile calculator it depends on what kind of 1000 men you're talking about. I believe these averages and SD are based around Caucasian men. Blacks the average would probably be 10% higher in length, maybe 2-4% with girth. Just my opinion though, not everyone believes the stereotype but from what I've seen I do believe blacks are a little bigger on average. I mean it's no secret Asians are a little smaller on average...just do the research.

I m a mod on a dick site and I see any amount of research . Racial size difference is poorly established even in the % you talk of . God knows I get crazy americans come onsite all the time telling me guys of afro ancestary are 50% bigger. Sigh seems to be some head issues out there.

Those seemed pretty off to me. Well based off the studies I’ve read. I keep coming across the same article online that says at 6.3 inches, only 4 or 5 guys out of 100 would be bigger than that. On “Hebenick et al” it says at 6.5 inches, 21 will be bigger in a room full of 100. Two very different stats. Don’t know what to believe tho. With me being 6.4-6.5, I’d like to believe the 4 or 5 out of 100 lol

Herbenick is self-measured and reported, so the word "precise" does not come to mind. The author of the study assumes that by using the measurements to send custom condoms, he has removed the incentive to fudge the numbers, which I think is a poor assumption. Length, for instance, just means you don't roll down as far, so who cares if you add a half inch? The girth numbers seem to be off the chart, with the standard deviation being 1.5-2x that of other studies. That alone should say the Herbenick results are crap. There are 8 other studies with girth standard deviation between 0.4-0.6", and Herbenick reports 0.88"? No way is that correct (BTW don't use the r/BDP study, those are numbers gathered from the far end of the spectrum, guys that are big to enormous). The calcSD average is pretty close to truth.

You might be right. I saw a lot of dicks in my life (please, dont take it the wrong way lol) and usually I am bigger. I think when we get used to the size of our penis, it doesn't seem very big...

It looks tiny b/c you're used to it. Have you ever seen any other hard dicks in person? Have some group sex and you'll realize that you're large. Even then it might be tough to tell, as guys that are larger are a little more likely to engage in that sort of thing. Jokes aside, I guess maybe that's why even at 5.1-5.2" MEG I feel a bit thin, given over 200 of 1000 would be thicker. Also find the flaccid stats a bit hard to believe. Not sure if that one is measured pressed or not, but no matter if I use the non-pressed @ 5.5" or pressed @ 6.5" there are 0 bigger? Just seems odd to me/really hard to believe. You'd think if there was someone who was 9" they'd be bigger soft than I am for sure, unless they are an extreme grower.

The only way to solve this is for 1000 of us to meet somewhere, strip down naked and get hard as a rock!!! I reduced my measurements by 1/2" and it still has my volume sitting at over 99%. I know I have a lot of girth and that girth contributes a lot more then length, but no one in a room of 1000 guys being bigger just ain't happening.

At that time I though I was just above average in length and girth. I was bigger most of the time but I was comparing flacid penis and we know that its not very accurate, because I am a shower with little to no fat pad.

I agree with rbi99 & alslima. I'm usually larger flaccid than everyone else that I've seen in showers & locker rooms since I was an early teen, but that's because I'm a "shower". My flaccid is 6.25'-6.5" fully flaccid, but I'm only slightly under 8" length X 6" erect. I look at myself and see "normal" but other guys see me thinking I'm "huge", which is NOT true. It's a mental fixation guys have, absolutely focused on flaccid size. After all, how many STR8 guys have seen other guys erect? Unless you're a PORN star, or Bisexual / Gay, why would any guy know how big you are erect? These "studies" are biased toward guys with larger flaccid size, IMO. I am a "Monster" almost across the board, using this site's formula (especially flaccid), but I think that's because my flaccid size is off their charts of "normal". Obviously, I'm NOT "off the charts" when I'm erect. There are guys bigger than me here in the Gym, and certainly in the general population as well..

From now on i’m only sticking to small crowds! I think our perspective is influnced by that guys with small dicks dont talk about dicks, they cover up at saunas, does’nt show themselvses on TV etc. And i dont believe they are confident to have sex with a lot of girls. )I have myself declined ons because of size issues (comments from the girl etc)) So i think our competition have def. I saw the calculators and thought for a second, hmmm, my 5.0 girth is smaller than 200+ penises in a room of a 1,000 guys. But the guys who are 5.1 technically are girthier. So what? I don't need to be the biggest, I just want to be a better version of me - and that goes way beyond the size of my penis! I'm headed for 7.5x5.75 - that's that!
