Pau Yuen Tong Balm's active ingredient seems to be clove oil

Greeting everyone.

In the recent Pau Yuen Tong Balm thread, there was some brief discussion about the possibility of determining the active ingredient and making the balm at home for much cheaper. Well, I believe I have determined that the active ingredient is clove oil.

I ordered a bottle of clove oil and applied around 3 very tiny drops onto my glans and frenulum and rubbed it around. Seriously, it was a TINY amount. Immediately, within about 10 seconds, I felt the familiar tingling sensation of Pau Yuen Tong - except it kept getting stronger and stronger until it burned intensely and painfully. I had to quickly run to my shower and wash it off with cool water and shampoo (water alone isn't enough since oil is hydrophobic).

I haven't tried masturbating yet so I'm not sure if that brief period of time (maybe 30 seconds) was enough to help with stamina - probably not, since I doubt 30 seconds is long enough to absorb much. However, my penis does have that slight Pau Yuen Tong Balm feeling (you know what I mean if you've tried it). I will try masturbating shortly to see.

If we could figure out the correct dilution ratio, a single bottle of this stuff could easily provide a lifetime supply of the equivalent of Pau Yuen Tong Balm for basically free. 4oz was only $10, and like I said, I only used 3 tiny drops - not remotely close to enough to put even the smallest dent in the bottle.

If anyone else decides to try this, I'd be interested in hearing your experiences. But proceed with caution - this stuff is POWERFUL!

Dude, I did the exact same thing. I couldn't find any Pau Yeun Tong in my country so yesterday I bought some clove oil essentials. Just like you did I put some drops on my glans and OMG it was burning like hell, I had to wash immediately. Of course, it did not have any effect. So I tried some time later diluting 2 drops with olive oil and applying it. The burning was bearable and I tried edging about 4hr later and the effect was kind of visible, it kept me from reaching PoNR longer than usual (I did not ejaculate earlier that day so that's not a reason) but eventually I had to stop.

So... I did not wash it (which now seems foolish reading some accounts of people having blood spots) for the whole night. This morning I did feel a stronger effect. I felt still minor IK but it took me minutes longer than normal to reach PoNR. Still not as potent as I had wished, but I did not try the balm so I can't compare.

I will try again but I feel pure clove oil need more time. On the other hand, it could be risky as the skin of my glass does seem slightly irritated and red (especially around the pee hole).
Do you think it might be a good thing to mix it with lube?

Pau Yuen Tong Balm seems to use petroleum jelly as its carrier (as the ingredients state "petroleum jelly 95%"), presumably to make application convenient. For some reason all the websites which discuss essential oil dilution explicitly state not to use petroleum jelly as a carrier but list no reason - my guess is that it's because they are mostly "aromatherapy" websites and don't consider petroleum jelly "natural". Since the concept of "natural" is just chemophobic bullshit, it's probably fine to use.

Well, I wouldn't really consider it a success, it's a mild success, but I need more 'data'.
I diluted it with olive oil (like your very useful link said I put just a bit more than 12 drops in 30ml) and I am going to try it this way, I am now scared to try and use it with lube, even though that's presumably how pau yuen is made.

I'm in on this, will be trying my own tests as soon as I find a source of where to by some clove oil. I'd be saving thousands of dollars over a lifetime of not having to buy the expensive PYT if we can figure out the formula ourselves. Those already doing the tests, keep us updated!

Maybe these other ingredients don’t matter because they may not be “active” ingredients, but a google search will show that PYT also contains ginseng, aloe wood, brandy, aromatic oils, in 95% petroleum jelly. Maybe one of these other ingredients matters.

yes we might probably need something more to have the effects of PYT.
But, it seems to me that only cloves, between all the ingredients, have a strong local anesthetic use.
Also, it's important to know what kind of ginseng has been used, Siberian and korean have almost opposite effect (the first one relaxes, the second excites I believe). I don't know anything about Brandy or aloe wood.

This may be interesting for your experiments.

For reference, Benzocain is a local anesthetic which is used in delay condoms such as Durex performa. You might be on something to create a cheaper alternative upon finding the right solution with the clove oil or creating a creme for your skin with Vaseline.

I would advice everyone experimenting with clove oil testing it on less sensible areas of your body first to see if you have an allergic reaction to it.

I’ve been using PYT for a few years and it works awesome. Takes some trial and error on figuring out what works best for you. Early on I had instances where not enough amount or time given for it so would yield minimal improvements. Other times heavy handed with application and numbers of times and no matter how fast I pounded away I was not going to orgasm.

I diluted clove oil in olive oil and applied and there was no benefit. I diluted 10 drops of clove oil in 20 mal of EVO, which if you believe most sites it’s a dilution ratio of 2.5% which is considered high for clove oil, and especially when applying to genitalia.

Anybody had any luck replicating the effects of PYT with a certain dilution ratio? Different carrier oil? Other ingredients added? I read the aloe wood, or agarwood oil, is also beneficial for PE.

I had to break down and reorder some PYT until I can replicate it myself.

I never noticed a decrease in effictiveness of PYT. It works every time for me.

So how long did the cream hold for you? do you think there is a certain expiration date after the opening of it?

I have one and im gonna have a ONS soon, maybe ill use PYT, but mine is already 6months open so i am not sure about if the effectiveness remains the same.

I order in packs of 3 so I have had some containers that have sat well over 6 months and they still work well. Store in drawer/cabinet in the bathroom where light doesn’t hit it. Also was convenient for application.

When I first stared using my wife didn’t know about it, but over time I told her because I found myself preparing and using it for her to then come back with the “tired or headache” excuse and I was wasting valuable product.

We have two kids and there is no spontaneity so we have to schedule sex. I know it sounds crazy but that’s life with kids. Well, sometimes there is spontaneous sex so no use of balm. I can last a good 10 minutes for the most part but there’s a lot of pauses/breaks and position changes to do that which typically is not great to giving your woman an O. My wife likes it hard and fast and that’s where the balm helps me. I feel like a pornstar when I use the balm. Pounding hard and fast while in complete control.

I found what worked best for me was applying around 2-3 hrs before the deed and let the balm really sink in. Recommended application quantity per packaging. If you’ve used before you know you’ll get the tingling/burning sensation especially when you let it sit longer. I then apply another, very light layer, 30-45 minutes before. I have to be careful with this one because if I use too much then she’ll have a very good time but I find myself not being able to orgasm. Also, happened early on where I followed the instructions of up to 3 applications before the deed with normal quantity and there was no way I was reaching the big O no matter how much I pounded away.

At the end of it, you have to play around with it and see what works best for your body.

I bought my 3rd order and it works. But for me, it burns the fuck out of my dick. I put on about a pinky fingernail amount on the underside of my dick and then I get 2nd degree burns. I am throwing all 3 orders in the trash. My advice is to never freeze the stuff. Also put on just a pinhead amount even though it doesn't seem like it will work. Also wash the sh*t off after 30-60 minutes to hopefully avoid having a dick that will need aloe vera like mine.

@ the guys using the product: how long do you feel the burning sensation?

Just experimented for the first time with it today. Applied only a little bit, as suggested, and only felt some burning for maybe 1 or 2 seconds about 40-50 minutes in. Does it burn longer when you apply it?

Tested with my pocket pussy, I usually have a hard time lasting at all in that thing, talking about 30secs-1 minute, but I just used it for masturbation and could easily surpass 5-6 minutes, then I stopped. Urge to cum was still not there yet but I could feel it coming slowly.

I just wonder, maybe a little bit more won't hurt.
