Apparently in high school, girls are attracted to one of the following:
1. The stoner
2. The stoner/partier
3. the douche bag/badass
4. The skater
5. The jock
At least from what I experienced in my first two years of high school.

High school ,sometimes I find myself in sympathy with the guy who goes crazoid and shoots people in high school.
In all seriousness I sometimes think that young women deserve the players of this world.
Perhaps radio is right, we should all turn ourselves into players and proceed as cynics.
Women do seem to wake up in middle age and I am now very happy, but I went through a lot.

I find this most interesting because I am a nice guy and I will tell you all right here and now that eventually, we get ours. Case and point my girlfriend and myself. She was married for 25 years to a total motherfucking, selfish asshole of a douche bag. He constantly put his selfish needs above and beyond that of his wife and kids (would you allow your pregnant wife to drive to work in a pile of sh*t early 70's Porsche with no floor boards because they rotted out???? HE DID!!!!!!)
My gf tells me ALOT that SHE is the lucky one in this relationship as she simply cannot believe she landed a guy like me. I helo with the house cleaning, clean the kitchen after she makes dinner, provide her with emotional support, encouragement and positive reinforcement for the challenges in her life. I am her lover and her best friend. In her opinion, many women go back to abusive, asshole guys because that's their comfort zone and that's all they know. They're so used to being treated like sh*t that they simply don't know any other way of life, so as that article suggests, when the proverbial nice guy does come along, he's viewed as more desparate or more needy than she is so she rejects him. It's a mental thing with that type of woman.
So, I am proof positive that nice guys don't always finish last.

I don't worry about that lost time Peg, I focus on the here and now. I may have gone years without but the greater point is, I'm getting plenti-o'pussy now. It makes no sense to focus on the past as it can't be changed. Focus on the present and the future.

Some people make out it is all ok. So long as you eventually meet Miss Right; even though you might have lived a life of loneliness, be 80 and die the next day.
I don't think it pays to go so sugar on it.
How can you learn from something you are intent on ignoring
If you were underpaid for years at your job ,they eventually started paying you the correct amount, but gave you no backpay, would you be so sanguine?
My point is ,the world would be a better place, if guys like you and me were appreciated sooner rather than later.

I am 23. I agree with pegasus that we nice guys r not that apreciated bcoz we are selfless and to the girls it seems boring and no fun. I also agree with mr bigcock that we shud focus on the present. So what i am going to do is become edgier like becoming selfish 10% more and screw those girls like a jerk should but become the nice guy in the long run.

The key here is to find the right balance of niceness and "I'm not your personal doormat" attitude. For instance, I'm trying to help my gf with her finances. Through her own self admittance, she sucks with money. I gave her a very simple task to do this past weekend which was to look up her credit card balance and tell me what it is because I told her whether she liked it or not, she needs to know where she stands, keeping her head buried in the sand with money is very dangerous. Did she do it? No. So, this morning I told her "if your not going to do this, then I'm not going to help you, you're on your own". I don't want to be that way but I'm not going to help her if she doesn't help me help her. See what I mean? You have to know when to sort of say "fine, you figure it out on your own then" when the situation arises.

Well, I am only 18 so I may grow sick of being the nice guy in coming years, I'm not going to say that I'll never change! lol!
However if I do stay the same, the girl I'd settle down with would want me for me, and none of that put on bullshit.
You would think that, with all the soppy movies out there, girls wuold be fawning over nice guys? Oh well :S
