This is an important post for those of us who don't want to spend $100 on a hanger, should be on the top of the forum..

Thanks :) If a few other members would chime in on this, I'll get it done ASAP.

I've been experimenting with a couple different homemade hanging devices, and I keep coming back to the sock hanger. Like someone else mentioned earlier, Big Al your sock hanger is pure genius!

Hey Al any modifications to the sock hanger for hanging over 5 lbs? Me and Waylander are discussing the limitations to the sock hanger and that's the main concern.

You may try using a tougher sock or two of them at a time, and you can use extra padding around the penis (like silicone gel strips). Remember though- the sock hanger isn't meant for extremely heavy training, though it'll suit most men's training needs- esp. beginners and intermediate trainees or guys that rarely hang but are looking to mix things up for variety.

Just decided to register after lurking these forums for a few months. First post had to be here, as this thread helped me get a grasp of some important things (wrapping/proper hanging!). Thanks Big Al.

Now I just gotta learn/pay attention to PI's and stuff :p

Oh..I didn't peruse the 8 or so pages between the instructions and now, but I tweaked the hanger somewhat and have been happy with the changes I made.

First -> used 2 socks, one as the hanging "sleeve" and another sock tied to the end of it as a hanging apparatus. The second sock is tied in a loop and knotted a few times for strength. Then I used 2 shoelaces, the circular kind of heavy-duty kind. One i triple knotted into a large loop (primary hanging lace) and the second i made into what can best be described as a lasso/noose (lace has small loop tied firmly at one end with slight extra lace escaping it). This second lace is for securing the hangar, just a slipknot style. Get the sleeve positioned on your member (don't forget wrapping, very important) and pull the long side of the securing lace through the noose, tighten that area and wrap the trailing lace around and down the sock to increase contact surface area...eventually you'll have only a short amount left, which you tie to the extra trailing lace escaping from the noose.

Oh yeah...and my "roll" of the sock is more like a 3-4 inch fold which gets repeated. Allows for a wide surface over which to use the securing lace to fasten the hanger.

edit: duh...hanging lace is just a large circle. It basically pulls through the loop of the hanging sock and fits around whatever weight you use. Or, a slopknot can be made through the hanging loop, allowing another slipknot to go around your weight. This makes a very long hang (I use this to go "upward"...pretty much just over the shoulder to feel the stretch more in the base of the penis).

I read somewhere that hanging can improve base Girth and strength.

If this is true, I was wondering if you set up the sock thick around the base and add a lightweight like 200mg or less to start off with, if this would be effective.

Or does the basic method do the trick?

Got any pictures to go along with this description?

You'll build up base girth with hanging by hanging in different directions- especially the left and right extremes. The way that works is that you'll have to hang the sock and weights across and over your leg (hitting each side equally and individually, of course).

Hey Big Al, I'm working on getting that wrapping info(I've been tied up with work). I did find a interesting post though.

"The wrap should be tight, but not too tight that it cuts off circulation. A way to see if it's to tight is to try and take a piss after you wrap. If your pee stream is cut off or effected, then it's too tight." Does that sound right?
One guy at TP highly recommends using the soft leather chamois(used for carwashes) for a wrapping material. I'm gonna try it myself and see.
Sorry if I got off topic. But it's a important part of hanging, right?

If I get the wrap right, can hang 10lb with no problem.

I'm new to pe, I will do the 90 day routine and then I wonder doing more advanced exercises.I planning doing hanging in the future. I would like to know if hanging hasmore benefits than pe and if i will gain faster and more than by doing pe exercises?
