Thank you for the warm welcome. I've been away awhile, but everyone has made me feel like I never left.:kiss:
I wonder how defense attorneys can do their job when defending a guilty person. The defendant pleads guilty but the attorney still has to try to get the best plea or deal possible. All resulting in a shorter sentence than what the law states. The entire family of the defendant wants that too. They have a guilty person who because of a great attorney gets less time. Back on our streets sooner. How on earth do people reconcile this. How can you turn off what you know is right to what is happening. I can only conclude that if it's in Gods master plan it's going to happen. He put the right people there to get the outcome He wanted. It's all very strange. I don't like it. But here comes the truth. If it's one of yours. You fight.

Today is the birthday of a special girl I dated back in College. I was dating her when I had my car accident. Hurt me pretty bad, but I eventually ended up with another car, that got into ANOTHER accident. second one was my fault.
I walked everywhere after that second accident because I was embarrassed by the car. I have no clue as to why she would even date me, even before the car accident. She was gorgeous, her type would not have dated my type (family restrictions) but she did, and she had the most gorgeous, boistrous laugh. Beautiful smile, Fiery Eyes, bullet quick wit.
I just couldn't figure out why she was into me.
She told me one day, after asking her, "You know besides my good looks and charm, why are you interested in me?"
She responds, "You're an amazing guy. You will be a really big deal one day, and I can see the potential in you. You have untapped potential! You make me laugh, and you're the most genuine person I've met. That's aside from your good looks and charm."
First time a girl has ever made me feel... i don't know... some type of way about myself. She made me believe in myself a way that hearing "You have potential" all my life through grade school and from my mom never did. Someone who WANTS to be in your life telling you this has more impact, I think, because they could easily just walk away.
So Happy Birthday to the woman who helped me believe in myself. You're married now, have a 3 year old daughter, and living a happy life. I am happy for you and love that you've made a great life for yourself, even if it wasn't with me

Pretty much every time I watch these crazy crime dramas, I wonder the same thing. Better yet, Do they sleep well secure in the thought they did their job right and got their client off the hook? Even though they KNOW for a fact that their client WAS guilty of the crime charged.
I could never be an attorney period. I do not have the mindset for it. My conscience would literally kill me.

Talked to my dad for the first time in a couple months, the weird thing is though that he called me from the house, but he has been living in an apartment for close to a year while him and my step-mom are going through some rough times. We are planning on possibly doing something for Father's Day and he said he has news. So either it will be pleasant or some more unpleasant news.

You should do something for Father's Day with him, I hope it turns out well.
Plans are iffy depending on weather, as his car isn't working all that great, but yes it is about time I have seen him again since Christmas. This whole separation thing has been odd for myself.

So we are at the grocery store today. We have a few other stores to go to as well. Ice cream was on the list. We are at Second store. Wife asks me you got the ice cream at the first store. I tell her think about it. It is 2000 degrees give or take a few in south Louisiana. How long you think that ice cream would last?

Some of you know I had Chinese take-out last night. Unfortunately, a dish recommend by one of my good new friends was not available, him-do-tung... luckily they still had my soup-sum-yung-boy. I was so satisfied from dinner that I had forgot to open my fortune cookie until this evening. It just seemed appropriate to share with everyone.

Just learned that they are making a 3rd live action Scooby Doo movie. Somehow it hasn't frozen hell over. I also learned they are filming it nearby me and are looking for the role of "creepy bicyclist". I could totally do that as I am plenty creepy and a bicycle.
No idea why there is going to be a 3rd one though, those movies are terrible.

I am sure I won't be going to try and get it. I have no idea where in particular it is and no transportation. Good thing is that Scooby Doo is a franchise that never dies, so there is always more chances.
That's a pity, I was hoping that you would audition for the role.

I think what you meant is "just ride around" the creepy part just ends up happening. I'll just have to find out exactly where it is, perhaps I can go on my day off or something.
