Life is too short to worry about what others think of you. Life's too hard to sweat the small stuff.

Still living life wonderfully here. Building up my money for a relocation. A place filled of lots of wine, rock hard bread, and diesel powered cars :).

One of those nights.. I've managed to fall asleep twice, and wake up twice.

I hate nightly power naps. Someone give me a pill.

The Greenland ice sheet is 3 kilometers (1.9 mi) thick and broad enough to blanket an area the size of Mexico. The ice is so massive that its weight presses the bedrock of Greenland below sea level and is so all-concealing that not until recently did scientists discover Greenland's Grand Canyon or the possibility that Greenland might actually be three islands

I can't wrap my mind around the ice being so massive that it presses rock below sea level. That's incredible. If you happen to give Bananaman a pill, slip me one too. kthxbai

Hmmmm

Super flattered lately... I think, for the first time in my life, I've actually been approached by a woman asking to be "more than friends"...

Being on the other end of the "can we be more than friends" thing, I know it takes a huge amount of courage to ask that and wow... for a female to do that just makes me feel all wiggly. I'm not sure I'll take her up on the offer, considering the distance and logistics in making something work, but it was confidence inspiring. It was a much needed confidence boost.

Here's a question...

I don't know where to put this, and i don't think it deserves its own thread...

anybody else affected by SUPER relaxation of ball play? Like, if a girl is playing with your balls, just lightly juggling them or whisping over your hairs for a prolonged period of time do you get REALLY relaxed and fall asleep?

I don't know if I'm broken or not, LOL! something I noticed way back with my ex, I'd fall asleep (i also work a lot and was exhausted more often than not) but playing with my balls put me RIGHT out... it's like a back rub after a long day.

^ lol.

I'm tired. Tired of so many things. Things get so rough sometimes.
People have such sad lives. I joined a book club a while ago and sometimes the members share their stories. Takes everything I have not to cry. The stuff people go thru. I know not what they feel thank God but you feel the pain. Then you feel the joy and how proud you are of them. Still tough stuff.

Recently I've been tithing more. More than my supposed requirement. Money time and deeds than I really can't afford to give. About a month now. Then a few days ago I received a refund check I never knew I was due. From an old insurance policy I cancelled over a year ago. The amount was at least three times what I have tithed.

So there's proof. God does provide.

This idea has been on my brain for a while. It may take a while to happen, but I was thinking of starting a charity in my mom's name for multiple sclerosis or animals, or both. She really loved animals, owned a pet store at one point, and managed a couple other when I was younger. I don't want other families to have to go through what mine did because of MS either.

I was thinking of making it a cycling event. It would go from Cleveland down to where I first lived, which is about 50 miles. There is a bike trail that goes two those locations, and much farther.

In a perfect world maybe I could get her down there and, in an even more perfect world, get her favorite band Queen to come to it, but I think that last part is a pipe dream.

I don't exactly know how to go about those things, but I think it would be good to remember what she wanted to do for the animals. It would take a lot of work, but I think this might be the first thing I would really like to come to fruition for once.

Anyone know of things like this?

Just need to lose enough weight and train enough so that, at the very least, the person who started it doesn't come in last. The creator of it should at least be in the top half.

Don. The MS Society has bike a thons throughout the country every year. Look online for your local chapter and get involved. Make a team in your moms name to raise money and awareness. Reach out to any celebrity or band to play at the event. It's well organized. Go for it :)

Two people in the past week have moved on to heaven. One more is holding on for dear life.
The older we get the more people we lose. I try never to leave things unsaid. I want no regrets.

Interesting how different men and women handle death. I can only assume women deal easier because we birth life. Something in our DNA helps squash the fear. Or it's faith.
Funny about faith. You can rip it apart when bad things happen to those you love but then rejoice in it when good things happen.

I'll keep my faith. I really like it all the time.

Rip my friend. We mourn you but will soon bathe in the joyous memories you gave us. Your legacy is strong.

Kiss and hug those you love people. Tell them. Make amends if you can with those you have unsettled business with.

Love.

Just talking, well here's one, I hate snow!!!!! Anyone else out there that hates snow? I've been digging out from the snow storm and I'm full of hate right now. I thought about moving South to get away from it, but I didn't think I could tolerate the heat during the summer. Now that I'm getting older I'm beginning to think you don't have to shovel heat! My kids and grandchildren have settle into this area so I guess I'm stuck with this damn shovel.

Arrrrrrgh, It just started sowing again!!! I've got to go kick something!

Love the snow. Miss the snow! Everytime I see snow, it reminds me that I'm far from home. Lame I know. I have such a screwed up familia. Well, some of it's screwed up.

I also use to love shoveling snow! It was something to do, to help others, but I'm still a youngin. Snow blower? Screw it!, allow me to come over and clean up that white shat! Lol I would be more than glad to!

The heat in the summer here isn't all that bad... it's the humidity that's an irritating booger; from one air conditioned zone to the next! I think I'd rather deal with the snow flakes :)

You are right, it's the humidity that is the killer. I've had two back surgeries that didn't go well, so I guess that doesn't help me much. Don't get me wrong, I like watching the snow and seeing it on the ground. I'm just to old and worn out to enjoy digging out anymore. I guess I should be grateful I didn't get the amount of snow they did in Buffalo a while back. If I got that much snow I would have put the shovel away and hibernated in the house until spring! I'll just have to live with being grouchy when I have to dig out.

You said your family moved to the area so you have to stay... $20.00 says a younger version of el familia will shovel that snow for you. Give them the $20.00 instead of betting with me and it probably will work better. Just remember you can add layers for cold, but only get so naked when hot:)

Islander, so very true. I appreciate the sentiments about faith, but REALLY appreciate the sentiments about loved ones. I am sorry for your recent losses, and I am sending positive, energy your way. I hope you can feel the massive, but gentle bear hug I am sending you.;). Love conquers all.
