Can anyone tell me what's so weird about being a virgin at any age? Why is the most itimate act between two people who love each other turned into some type of competition? For all us guys out there, pretend for one minute that you have a daughter age 15-16. Do you want her to be some guys trophy? I think the whole premise of this thread is dumb, but that's just my opinion.

Like many guys here, and hell, like many people in this world, I too know a thing or two about depression. Proper clinical depression, lasting the best part of a lifetime.

There comes a time, after fifteen years or so of walking on eggshells and showing compassion where it becomes shockingly clear that "manning up" really is the solution.

Life sucks sometimes, but we all have to wade through the sh*t at those times to get to the promised land. I appreciate that depression affects a person's perspective and outlook such that the path isn't always clear. This is where true support is guidance, not compassion. Sometimes appropriate guidance is advice and direction. Sometimes the appropriate guidance is to "just pull yourself together."

Depression is not in my vocabulary.
eat healthy(this is a step 60% fail at,if your not sure about your diet i would be glad to help you),excercise,party on weekends(alchocol is fine but don't overdo it!!),meditate(a must!),socialise(crusial),think positive(otherwise your only destroying yourslelf),don't do drugs/tobacco and most of all avoid anything involing stress!!Stress can basically destroy a person,you don't want that in your life,trust me.
If you complete these steps I promise you that you will see great improvement.

I totally agree with you CUSPIE. And only those of you, like myself, who have a teenage daughter would understand the message that CUSP is sending out. CUSP, I'm reppin' you for this one.

Sex may just be sex, but its also the greatest thing in the world, followed by eating. which is also just food but again one of the few things we have to enjoy for real. Now sex should be an act of appreciation, i say for women because for me they are the reason to keep on living and during sex we should thank them for making our lives worth living.

I have always said, and i am quite sure i have said it in posts here on this forum in the past if i was ever caught with someones daughter/gf/wife i would take my beating without fighting back. Out of respect. Funny how some peoples views dont change until they are personally affected.....

finally many studies indicate being a virgin into your mid-late twenties causes many psychological problems that make it so the rest of your life, sex will be difficult. So while saying its ok at any age may be nice, its the same as telling anyone who is "depressed" anything aside from get off your ass. No its not weird, there are many virgins much older then age of the op, however it is not healthy.

Bah, don't sweat it mate. I'm 22 and a virgin but could have been laid plenty of times. I'm just faithful to my girl of 6 years and she's a strictly no sex before marriage kinda girl. But she's what matters to me so keeping to myself is something I must do. Being a virgin is not a big deal mate, don't sweat it!

Sex isn't the greatest thing in the world, but it can come close.
If I was unknowingly with someone's gf or wife, then I would fight back. If I knew that she was taken, well...i agree with you. Btw, isn't every women someone's daughter?
If you're waiting for marriage for sex, then being a virgin is alright with me. However, if you are a virgin because you can't talk with the opposite sex (or same sex, if that's your thing) or are a loner, then that would be a problem.

Just giving you the total honesty yall expect from me.

The older you get being a virgin the more you feel like a failure and if it hasn't happened already then it probably won't for some time. It's a feeling that nobody likes you and you feel like you weren't meant to experience fun things like everyone else...

I don't think your problem is with being with a virgin, like you said there's a girl that likes you and I'm sure if you really wanted to you could have sex with her. If you really think that being a virgin is your biggest problem you should go for it with the girl but I don't think it will really help you.

I dont mean simply the act of penetration. I include the act of love (nothing but chemicals, but hey they kicked the sh*t out of me so who am i to talk lol) the goal, albeit mostly subconscious of procreation and the release received(the supposed joy you feel of your child being born is actually a result of sex.....). There is nothing greater on this planet and it is the reason for living. Unless you believe in god......

but again its only chemicals that makes a difference between the sex with someone you think you "love" and just a quick fuck. Its not the person you are with but what is going on inside your own head that takes away from the experience.


Growbros problem is his life has no purpose. He is not depressed regardless of what any doctor says lol. At least not based on the information available in this thread. Go read fight club lol, then take the feeling it fills you with and get off your ass. That book is about the pointlessness of our lives and the "depression" that ensues.

and we cant help him, by even trying we make things worse. If he has no one there to help him then hell either go on until he hits rock bottom and then reform, or hell kill himself to make us realize how special he is and how much we will all miss him.....
