An inch and 1/2 deeper than before
My real goal is to one day need the Bib original monster cock sized hanger, that would be cool.

I am finally ready to second that. I guess the padded starter is for guys with smaller girths.

Nice find malehanger.
What minimum girth would you recommend for the Hardcore?
PEWarrior2011

I feel like the hardcore with the proper bottom adjustment nut settings (6-8 threads) can be used with most girths, assuming proper amount of wrap. More wrap for less girth and vice versa as I describe on page 8 of the Progressive Hanging thread.

Wrap is so important. Too much/too little/too tight/too lose and you feel more attachment fatigue and less lig/tunica fatigue.

I have recently made changes to my underwrap. I switched from a Hair Tie Wrap to a piece of very resilient double elastic fabric. I have been trimming it down and I think that I am just about satisfied with it.

The other thing I did, today in fact, was come up with something I am calling a "glans sleeve". I was getting an edema pouch under my glans (lots of guys report this). It seems to have gotten worse with tunica work for some reason. Anyway, I decided to wrap my glans with a short piece of silicone sleeve, the kind that comes with the vac products. Long story short. Eurika! Almost no edema pouch... and my glans came out of the hanger almost the same color as it went in.

Best little accidental discovery I have ever found with hanging. I hope one of you guys try it and let me know what you think. You can probably wrap your glans loosely with anything elastic.

One consequence is that you may need to tighten the hanger more because whatever amount of glans engorgement you where relying on to keep the hanger from sliding, it will not be there. So my new underwrap and glans wrap have me looking forward more than ever to my hanging sessions.

I'm almost certain you will love your hardcore hanger, the problems you have mentioned sound just like what I went through with my starter model. I'm not sure I will ever need more the the hardcore hanger because I'm pretty sure this bad boy could handle some serious weight. Can't wait to get home and hang :)

You should not be relying on any glans engorgement to keep your hanger from sliding. Your glans should be as free of blood as possible before you tighten your hanger. After a few minutes into your first set, you should be able to tighten your hanger more. A big thing some guys also seem to miss with wrap and hanger tightness, is that discomfort often comes from their hanger moving during their set. This moving while under pressure is a big contributor to their discomfort.

It can! I have gone as heavy as 30lbs with mine so far.

Ageed. My bad. Engorgement is not the right word.

I think that for most guys a little "head swell" due to blood in the glans is unavoidable. This head swell is what causes the "shoulders" to form. Without some degree of "shouldering" the hanger would ride over the glans. As hard as I try I cannot keep the glans flaccid 100% of the time.

Too much blood in the glans causes the glans to turn dark purple under load. That is engorgement and it should be avoided as this may indicate that circulation is compromised. That can produce numbness. My glans would develop purple areas especially around the urethra opening. That is gone with this glans wrap.

What I am saying is that a glans wrap is so effective at reducing blood in the glans, that you may have trouble forming shoulders. This then puts greater emphasis on tightening, which in turn puts more requirements on having a good wrap.

I hope you try a glans wrap. I think that you will see a difference.

No, "head swell" is not what forms the "shoulder". The internal bunching up of the penis tissues as you begin to tighten your hanger and push (or as some guys say "push pulse") your hanger forward is where the shoulders are formed. :) Not trying argue, just helping clarify things.

Either description. More internal bunching and less swelling due to blood is what I get now. In the past I always had more blood in the glans than I wanted. I am fairly confident that many guys reading this know what too much blood in the glans is like. I see it all the time in the pictures forum at Bib's site.

Your clarification is appreciated. You remind me of Bib. Everthing needs to be 100%. Neither of you guys are hanging right now so it is a little easier to push the ideal when the example is not in front of you. :D touche

I guess that I need to try your wrap since you seem to be saying that you can hang with a totally flaccid head. Right? Please, save me the trouble of looking for the name of the ACE material you use. What is it called?

I think that your message here puts some guys on alert as far as glans engorgement.

BTW how hard do you tighten the wingnut on the Hardcore? On a scale of 1-10, 1 being what a little girl could tighten it to and 10 being what you think would break it.

The self adhesive wrap I prefer and use is "Self Grip". If you have a Bi-Lo or Target near you, they both usually carry that brand. Otherwise the 3M branded "Ace" wrap is suitable. I'm not sure how "hard" my wingnut is tightened. I know my top teeth fully mesh and my hanger closes completely. It does not feel like my hanger or anything else is about to break though.

Thanks malehanger, I will check out your wrap.

As far as hanger tightness. I always leave a little room to tighten as this is what Bib suggests. By closing it all the way however it would seem to reduce the chance of it cracking.

On that scale I think that I am tightening it to a 6-7. I may push it a little more to see it I get even less slippage. The hanger is not slipping on the wrap. The internal bunching is slipping over itself. I will also try attaching further back.

How far back do you attach?

I will read your progressive hanging thread.

I am leaving to get some stuff around the house.

Thanks for taking the time to share information. Hopefully I will continue to find betters ways to hang. I like my current setup but I am always looking to improve on it if possible.

Well, using the hanger settings I suggest with the amount of wrap/type of wraps I suggest seems to allow myself and the men I'm working with tighten their hanger most of the way if not completely. Like BIB says ;) tighten your hanger as much as you think you can, then hang a few minutes, remove the weight and tighten it some more. Something about hanging for a few minutes that first set helps compress things even more and allows the hanger to be tightened a little more. Oddly, the first set is the only one which requires this. Assuming a guy stays wrapped until he is finished with his hanging.

I place the front edge of my wraps about 1.5" from my coronal ridge on my glans. I used to measure it with a ruler, but I can now 'visualize' where that spot is. I then, line up my hanger with that front edge of my wrap.

No problem. Like I tell anyone else, just ask. Sorry we got off to a rough start :)

malehanger,

Others report this too. Bib says that it is from squeezing out collagenous matrix fluid. I don't get much of that. I have a solid wrap. You can see my wrap in the pictures forum at bibs site. I am sheLovesIt there. I do not use the silver thera. I use a layer of blue and then black. They are both so thin you can see through them.

For me once I tighten it's pretty much solid for the whole first set. I test it at about 2-3 minutes in and usually the nut won't budge unless I start cranking.

If I feel a little readjustment of tissues in the attachment area I can tighten a little more, maybe a half to a full turn, rarely more.

Strange how we all have different experiences. I am axious to try your wrap. I live a ways from town so it might be next week.

>Sorry we got off to a rough start :) <
Me too.
