I tried to find the whole article using my university database but no luck. I have to search more. I am sure I can find it somewhere.
As a uni master student, I am interested in how the study was conducted. In the famous Italian study where they had 20 females participating the study, 'ultrasound was used to scan the vaginal walls of the women, and an area of tissue was found to be thicker on the front side, between the vagina and the urethra, in those who had had the vaginal orgasms, which occur without stimulation of the clitoris' (Smith 2008). So there clearly is something there. I found this study but I didn't have access to that specific database so I couldn't read it.
But the new study that we are all talking about, I wonder what is their method. They don't talk about ultrasound. Maybe it relies on women's personal experience. On that BBC website sexologist Whipple said that 'the researchers had discounted the experiences of lesbian or bisexual women and failed to consider the effects of having different sexual partners with different love-making techniques' (BBC 2010).
So is this like the 'scientific studies' where they tell guys 'hey take this ruler, go home, measure your dick alone in your room and come back tomorrow with the results.' Just wondering if this was done the same way...
