Sorry, I thought you were saying to drink "chimarrão" with orange juice, my bad :/

But yes, Tererê or Tereré is a cold drink. But the herbs used are way different than the ones in chimarrão.

In Rio, they sell a lot of cold erva-mate with lemon at the beach.

Again, the girls are the aphrodisiac :)

Just started drinking the tea 3 days ago and there is already a massive improvement in EQ and general circulation (warmer hands etc.)

Found this forum as, despite only being 20, I have been suffering from partial ED, Previously I could have sex as often as I wanted with a 5-10 min intervall between bouts, but 2 months ago I suddenly became incapable of having sex multiple times in one night!

The Tea has already helped as tonight I had sex twice in a row with my girlfriend for the first time since my problems began, EQ was great for both times but unfortunately we couldn't go a third time.

Will continued drinking of the tea fully restore sexual function? It is quite worrying as I am young and I play sport twice a week, I do smoke a lot but at my age it shouldn't be affecting me yet

I have a question about ginger

Previously I used 1 tablespoon of ground ginger from a jar per cup of tea and I could feel the "heat" at the back of my throat (This powder never dissolves fully by the way, is that normal?)

Yesterday I bought some fresh ginger root thinking that it would be more potent as it would be fresh but when I use the root I don't get the same hotness as I do with the ground ginger, this is how I make the tea with the fresh ginger root:

1: Take a piece of ginger that fits in the palm of my hand and cut it into to strips (I haven't bothered peeling it if it makes any difference)

2: Put ginger in a pot of cold water and put on high heat (pot capacity is about 4 coffee mugs)

3. When the water boils I add in ground maca root and cinnamon, stir and then add 4 tea bags of gingko biloba green tea

4. Turn off heat, cover pot and leave it simmer for about 5-10 mins

5. Serve and add lemon juice and honey to taste

Is this method ok? the lack of heat/spiciness makes me think that there is not enough ginger or I am not boiling'cooking the ginger correctly

Thoughts?

I don't know how the guys do the ginger in the tea, fresh or powder. But when I make Ginger Chicken at home, I use the fresh root. You do need to peel it and I always grate it, it'll release more of the oils it contains. That might be why you aren't getting that strong flavor/hotness. Hope that helps:)

Since I am drinking a lot of this I have been thinking of switching to decaf green tea, does decaf work as well as regular green tea? Does decaf contain the same amount of anti-oxidants, catechins, EGCG etc. as normal tea? I would rather not reduce the the PE and general health benefits induced by drinking green tea

According to this study

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Data/Other/IFT2003_TeaFlav.pdf

If Tea is Decaf

Decaffeination reduces total catechins in both black and green dry teas by
about 15 times and 3 times respectively. Decaffeinated green tea contains
comparable amounts of total catechins (3,942mg/100g) as in regular black tea
(3,606 mg/100g). The flavonols quercetin, kaempferol and myricetin are not
affected either by fermentation or by decaffeination. All ready to drink teas,
black, green or made from powder have approximately a fifth to a tenth of the
flavonoids compared to similar teas brewed from leaves or tea bags. The type
of tea and the preparation techniques must be considered in assessing tea
flavonoid contents.

Also one more note ADDING the Lemon Juice to High quality Green Tea enhances the absorption rate of the Catachins and polypenols
(This is also the case with Grapefruits(it enhances almost everything, DO NOTE it does this by disabling certain enzymes, which if you take drugs might not respond correctly to the drug intake, causing all sorts of side-effects).

Ferruzzi tested juices, creamers and other additives that are either commonly added to fresh-brewed tea or used to make ready-to-drink tea products by putting them through a model simulating gastric and small-intestinal digestion. Citrus juice increased recovered catechin levels by more than five times, the study found. Ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, used to increase shelf life in ready-to-drink products, increased recovered levels of the two most abundant catechins by sixfold and 13-fold, respectively.

DO NOTE THIS IS A preliminary STUDY, THE EXACT EFFECT HAS NOT BEEN MEASSURED YET, IT"S ONLY AN INDICATION

But I guess if the study(if someone can find it) is conducted correctly, a 20-25% increase of absorption is enormous.

Although those are preliminary results a decrease of 15 times is staggering! I think I will stick to normal green tea

Thanks Bjorn89, repped :)

How has it been working for you?

It been going good. Haven't noticed a drastic change but maybe a week from taking it will. I'm only going to take it once a day now because drinking too much of it is making my stomach upset

I have been on and on with this stuff for about a year now. There is no formal scientific evidence yea or nay for it. For now I just use as much of the 5 g's as I can and hope for the best.

Well, it is time to go to Sutter Creek to purchase this years tea supply. Even though im on a fluid restricted diet i take green tea capsules and drink black tea once in a while.
