Linda McMann doesn't want to be Sec of Ed because she has always had a deep interest and connection to how we educate our kids and promote going to college. Its because she has investments in private school companies and she can change policies to promote the privatization of schools and charter programs.
College is a scam! In the United States, the college dropout rate is 32.9%, and only 62.3% of students graduate within four years.

My ex has a computer science degree from UC Berkeley, while I only have a high school diploma.
My income at the same company, in the same profession far exceeds my ex's income.

Hmmm violence has traditionally been a right wing not a liberal thing . But then they have been pushed into a corner and are watching the destruction all around .
Right Wing? Like the BLM RIOTS!.
"Mostly Peaceful" while cities BURNED!

Protest-related damages cost about 2 Billion, according to estimates.

while i don't know the true status of Musk's role (paid or unpaid), the heads of the Departments that make up his cabinet and the cronies who get hired under them (mostly thinking of the DoJ/AG Office for subordinates) are definitely getting paid and many of whom are already $100M+ wealthy individuals.
The people who are getting fired are mostly educated people who, rather than working in the private sector, want to make a difference with their work even if it means a slightly smaller paycheck.

How much is Democrat Nancy Pelosi worth? How much did her Husband reap from Nancy's insider trading information?

Answer: Pelosi, along with her husband, venture capitalist Paul Pelosi, has an estimated net worth of more than $230 million according to Quiver Quantitative. As Speaker of the House, Pelosi earned $223,500 annually and now earns $174,000 a year as a member of Congress.

Hummmmm?

The FBI is investigating 80 Attacks on Tesla Dealerships and Charging stations!
Suspected Tesla arsonists have been hit with federal charges in acts of 'domestic terrorism according to the Attorney General.
The 3 Idiots are now facing 5 - 20 years in Prison!

Willie don't the people who head the departments deserve to get paid? As for cronies if you were running a business or a country would you not hire qualified people who you know and have some type or relationship with or would you hire people that hate you? And not only have all of them been successful in the private sector they all got confirmed by the Senate

I would hire the people with the most experience and qualifications to work for me not because they have little experience but are the best at kissing my ass

Mostly all sound beneficial and humanitarian to me and something I’d be proud my country was involved in.

Willie don't the people who head the departments deserve to get paid?
the take home pay is nothing compared the enrichment that comes from the positions of power they hold. I am not saying they shouldnt be paid the salary, im saying they shouldnt be in the position because they have nothing to contribute and everything to gain. they can not work in the best interest of the American people because it goes directly against both the goals of the cabinet members and the people who are running the conservative parties and movement (not just trump, also the billionaires who buy the other politicians)

I want to use this as an example of how I can be in favor of something I disagree with. I dont think male circumcision (genital mutilation, lets call it what it is) should be perform unless medically recommended by a doctor (rare birth defects for example). The $10M (i can confirm that DOGE has lied about how much each of these things actually cost, so take that number as you will) for circumcision in Mozambique actually led to to a decrease in HIV/AIDs spread in the country as well as other STIs. It was a completely voluntary procedure, no forced trans'ing of the kids or whatever. I dont think it should be performed, but has shown to help contain the spread of disease in the country. I think it should continue to be funded, I think I can say that without being hypocritical or whatever conservatives think rational thought is.

Rachiel Levine
Admiral Levine is actually qualified and deserves respect, go read a wiki for once.
TBH I had not heard about Sam Brinton since 2010 when I helped campaign against conversion therapy in my area. I think I might have heard something about luggage but didn't really follow it. And honestly they seem like they have a problem (klepto) they need help with. I didnt know a lot before I started using tools like Ground News (not a sponsor) to help see more of what the other side of the isle is talking about in their infosphere. SO much of what is posted on conservative media is just garbage, not from a factual standing, but because of awful writing quality. It's mostly "X happened, Y said something you should hate about it, now we all love X and must defend it with our lives until the next squirrel comes along."

And why should the US taxpayer be forced to pay for that? If you want to be charitable, humanitarian, and help other people, that's great. There are plenty of organizations you can donate your money to. Instead, you want to force everyone to support the same thing. Does anyone GAF about the amount of debt the US carries and continues to mount?!! Do you even know what the annual cost to service that debt is right now?

because individuals taxpayers' opinions on what the money should be spent on is irrelevant to the operation of the government? I dont think the taxpayer's money should be spent on subsidizing rural people's internet, that's not a free and open market for businesses to compete. But we do because that's what the people elected into office decided. And if we have an issue with how it's being spent, we tell our congressional reps, and if they dont listen we try to vote them out of office. It's really not a complex concept to understand. The money from each person goes into the larger fund, your specific dollars paid dont go only to specific programs that you like. (not withstanding the taxes that specifically support programs like Social Security, that money is more explicitly taken for that purpose)
Why shouldn't the US gov pay for something that helps stop the spread one of the most infectious and hard to eliminate viruses we have ever seen, there by protecting US interests? US businesses dont want to operate in areas with high volatility and infection risks, its just less profitable.

nope, hasn't ever mattered before because we have (until recently) maintained good relations with the foreign countries own the quarter or so of our national debt that is owed to foreign entities.

here is the results from a basic search of who owns our debt. fun fact, of the top $18 Trillion of debt owned, more than 75% of it is owned by Americans. that's owned, not owed. Have you ever invested for your retirement by buying some T-bills? those are treasury bonds that equates to an amount of debt the US gov now owes you. So servicing that debt means giving money to Americans who can then invest or spend that money.

As of December 2024, the United States' national debt is held by a diverse group of domestic and international investors. Below is a breakdown of the top 25 holders:

1. Federal Reserve System: Approximately $5.24 trillion, making it the largest single holder of U.S. public debt. Visual Capitalist+1Pew Research Center+1

2. Japan: Holds about $1.06 trillion in U.S. Treasury securities, positioning it as the largest foreign creditor. Statista

3. China: Owns approximately $759 billion in U.S. debt, making it the second-largest foreign holder. Wikipedia

4. United Kingdom: Holds around $690.2 billion in U.S. Treasury securities. USAFacts+1Wikipedia+1

5. Mutual Funds: Collectively possess about $3.7 trillion in U.S. public debt. Visual Capitalist

6. Luxembourg: Maintains holdings of approximately $377.7 billion.

7. Depository Institutions: Banks and similar entities hold around $1.6 trillion. Visual Capitalist

8. State and Local Governments: These entities have invested about $1.7 trillion in U.S. Treasury securities.

9. Pension Funds: Both public and private pension funds hold approximately $1.0 trillion. Visual Capitalist

10. Insurance Companies: These firms have invested around $500 billion in U.S. debt.

13. Switzerland: Maintains holdings of around $329.7 billion. Wikipedia

14. Cayman Islands: Holds about $301.1 billion in U.S. Treasury securities. Wikipedia
