I've just decided to go celibate (also no masturbating to ejaculation) indefinitely while I commit to PE, although not necessarily for that reason.

I do think that 'life-force' energy is lost through ejaculation, which is why the French call an orgasm 'the little death', so since I've had more than my fair share of sex and masturbation the last 15 years or so I've decided to knock it on the head for a while and build up my energy stores and hopefully channel the energy into other things.

Did you guys catch my "confidence in the sex act" nugget, from actually being in vagina and having sex? Actual sexual intercourse builds up that part of your self image, your mind and strengthens it, makes it larger, increases the sexual energy, the confidence in the act...

Masterbation and not having a partner you share intimacy with I would think would shrink your self image with respect to the sex act... Unless you have an insanely powerful mind.

I agree with this personaly. As I too have felt these effects after ejaculating alone.
So my mission for the last couple of years has been to gain control of ejaculation. And I never ejaculate on purpose now as I feel more energetic and sexual without.

Yeah, it's tricky for most guys I'd say, me included. A few drinks helps as you mention, although being actually drunk is a bad idea for obvious reasons.

I think for these kind of potential-encounter situations it's possibly best to be horny but not so horny you're going out of your mind.
