Two obvious points here:
1) Women are notoriously bad at estimating dick size and often just take a guy's word for it. The number of women who claim to have had an ex with a dick of "at least 10 inches" is ridiculous. All the reliable evidence points to the true average being 5-6", and a guy that size would only have to add an inch to his measurement to be in the definitely above-average 6-7" range.
2) It's perfectly possible that bigger guys on average get around more than smaller guys, so the average size as experienced by women might be (slightly) bigger than the real average.
And yeah, 400 guys isn't a vast sample but they were measured accurately - it's a going to be a much more reliable figure that an anecdotal guesstimate based on what some of your female friends have said.

I`m curious to know, how can you just see something like this and say to yourself, "hey this is something I`m gonna believe".
Noone has ever done a world wide penis size research, Wind Chill, and only very few countries have done these kind of surveys!
The legit surveys that has been done on size has found that race doesn`t really come into it.

Ivor you are so right. What also amazes me is the preoccupation with trying to find out an " average". Really what difference does it make? You are what you are unless you want to change yourself in some way. Also, when guys disagree with evidence about average size, they nearly always claim that the figures produced by studies are too low. Now I don't get this at all. On the assumption that guys would generally rather think of themselves as larger rather than smaller, compared to other guys - and you'd agree this is a fair assumption, no? - surely you'd be pleased with any study that indicates a seemingly 'small' figure for average size? I mean, given that one's own dick is a given size, the smaller the average size then the bigger %age of the population that are smaller than you. In other words, the bigger you are, in relative terms.

An interesting thread! I had a conversation last month with a few female friends and I asked them if they had a cock-lineup of everyone they had ever been with (which was between 5-14 people each) they all said they could NOT match the cock to the person except in the extreme cases either too big or too small. And that everyone in the middle "gets lumped together" essentially. I never did get to ask what the other girls thought was small and what was big. But my girlfriend has been with a guy who she claims was 4 inches in length (she never measured, but was guessing), and for her it was not pleasurable. She was also with a guy who "was HUGE", and said that it couldn't even fit, there was basically no penetration, and it sucked for her and him. In the case of the guy she was with who was 4 inches; he is now dating one of her good friends who is happy with his size because she has a small vagina.
