For all straight men:
In every way you should ask your girl (must for your woman) if she wants anal sex. It's a not a game or something just for fun ;)

A & E ? Isn't that the arts and entertainment network? Wrong entertainment I guess.

A&E Anal Lube is what we use, too. I love that stuff!

This made me laugh...in Britain, "A&E" is the Accident and Emergency ward in a hospital, like "ER" in the US...the idea of a special anal lube used in "A&E" is kind of gruesome yet hilarious...

Wow. I'm up for this by the way, and I suspect if my last gf hadn't turned out to be ... whatever she is ... then I would have got her to. I even mentioned it a while back, but not with enough commitment on my part.

Should I try those Aneros thingas then? cos I've tried with my fingers and had no success, it felt like the only arousal I got was in my head, anticipating the prostate orgasm, which I hear is "all that".

I recently was at a party where a female friend of mine disclosed to us that her college roomate, drunk off her ass one night, told her that she ass-fucks her boyfriend with a strap on. My friend's roomate then went to her room and showed her the strap on as proof positive - the people I was with at the party gasped and made jokes about "what a fag" her boyfriend must secretly be. You can imagine how it went.

Now, I get it, these things do happen in relationships and what happens in the bedroom ought to stay there. Still, I thought such an instance as the one above would be far from common, to say the least. However, the members on this website - many of them - seem to practice anal and prostate stimulation. It makes me wonder exactly just how prevalent such behavior is among the straight male population. Possibly the members of this site are more predisposed to these techniques? I don't know. I personally have never experimented and probably never will, for what it's worth...

My guess is that it is a lot more common than people think. Anal play feels great, and when a couple is comfortable with each other there is no reason that they should avoid it. How silly is it that we touch every single other part of of our lover's body, but not that part? And even avoid touching ourselves there? How far beyond simply caressing that a couple chooses to go is completely up to their own bravery. But I think that many people -- men included -- like being touched and even penetrated anally once they get over embarrassment and fear that we have of that sort of activity.

And by the way.... the best way to start anal play is in the shower. :)

Ah, but you're wrong! I wouldn't want to use soap for full penetration (ow!) but for anal play with a little finger insertion, it feels marvelous! And because it's soap, it makes you feel really clean to boot. Great for initiating yourself and your partner into a bit of fun. I have never had any bad experiences with a bit of soap in the shower, even when he has slipped his finger partway inside me. And I've returned the favor and he has never once complained (just the opposite, actually!)

Yeah, but by the look of things more people post here from the US than anywhere else, and wouldn't necessarily know what "A&E" means in the context of hospitals.

I would venture a guess that A. anal stimulation among straight men is far more prevalent than one would think and B. the members of this site are more predisposed to using these techniques.

In the last couple pages we've heard a couple stories about men being ridiculed once it was found out by friends that they've been strapon fucked by a woman, so pretty much any straight guy that does this activity is certainly gonna keep it to himself for fear of that exact thing. But it feels so good that I find it hard to believe that a lot of guys aren't at least trying it. I'd say 10-15% is maybe an accurate guess, but that % would be a lot higher if there wasn't a stigma about it. I think many men would like to try it, but are scared that it would get out or are even scared to bring it up initially with their girl out of fear she'll think he's gay.

I don't understand it either BW. Gay men give each other blowjobs and handjobs, just like straight couples do, so why isn't there a stigma attached with those? Vaginal penetration is really the only act that is exclusive to a man and a woman so you would think the homophobes would limit their sexual activity to that. The obvious fact is that any sexual act performed between a man and woman is inherently hetero by nature b/c it's a freakin' woman performing it!

I don't understand these people. Let's say that you could conclude that the guy in this scenario was bi or gay based on being strapon fucked. So what? There are plenty of gay and bi people in the world are these same people completely cruel to all gay and bi people they come across in their daily lives. If you are tolerant of gay and bi people, then it shouldn't be seen as an insult to call someone gay or bi, so obviously these people have some bigotry issues that they really need sorted out.

Well, upon hearing such a terrible story there was a rush to masculinity and instant denial from males and females alike, each seeking to immediately distance themselves as far as possible from this atrocity. This may or may not have been alcohol induced, and may or may not have had to do with some group/social psychology.

However, "I don't understand these people" is not a useful attitude. Know thine enemy, my friend.

This is why straight men are embarrassed about this kind of stuff getting out. Whether we know it should or should'nt matter is not going to change how others will treat or be treated. We are very open here and in many ways much more tolerable which I think is a good thing. It still wont change the fact that if a straight man gets caught with his girl giving him the back door star fish stretcher, hes just gonna get teased relentlessy by his homophobe freinds.
I am straight and I would probably let my wife at least play with the area but I surely wouldnt want my freinds to know about it. I beleive that most guys would flip someone sh*t just to hide their own insecurities. I dont think a man letting his wife give him an anal massage is going to all of a sudden make him less manly, just as being gay does not make a guy less manly.
It just boils down to the fact that most people are insecure morons. That is sugar coating it for me.

I think anal play is pretty common. Maybe not being strapon fucked so much, but definitely fingers. i've been with plenty of girls who just treated such things as part of the act and either went there without my asking or checked first.

"Plenty" might be pushing it, lol.. but most of those I've been with more than once.

I forgot to subscribe to this thread!! And just stumbled back across it. I just wanted to thank everyone for all the advise. I purchased some good lube, and we were able to play just the head, than we had to stop because she said something burned. And later she found just a little blood. So I'm glad we stopped. I think my next step will be the a&e lube. I like the point that was made that said it allowed for relaxation and how the body could be trained to accept full penitration sooner over time.

And I agree a glass of wine, or a couple drinks are fine. I spoke with my gf and she explained further as to what her definition of drunk was... She's kind of a light wait, so a glass of wine or a couple of drinks was exactly what she meant. Just to take the edge off.

Of course my hopes is that with the proper lube and patience she will enjoy the act and not always require some liquid courage to accept me.

Thanks again for all the advise. I'm subscribing now, so I'll be back to read more. And hopfully share my success. :)

Sounds like you are dealing with this really patiently and rationally, snuffy. Good job.

As for lube, if you were using regular lube (not an anal lube) I'm not surprised she reported some burning -- I remember that well. Sometimes that feeling alone used to cause me to clamp down, so it hurt more (and there could be a bit of tearing/bleeding -- nothing major, just a bit). But with anal lube I never get that feeling at all, it is all smooth and relaxing. Much better!

This has been my birthday week, and my gf is getting back in town tonight. So I'm gonna make the stop at the sex shop just in case we explore some more. :)
